It was still kinda cool. I loved the garage of cars, it was better than porn Now, Undercover Brother is the one I'm debating as "good" I've seen movies that are 100 times better than that, and they were still stupid. I'll tell ya what movie you shouldn't ever see, at least not in a dark movie theatre, or you'll fall asleep: Any Given Sunday, that movie was so dumb my friends and I actually woke up, and walked out in the middle of it.

I liked Triple X .... typical Vin Diesel explosion and crazyness... and no I didnt just go see it for him.  I agree with you on the LOTR and Harry Potter though.  Those were both worth seeing a couple times each.  (Just went and saw LOTR TT again this week)

Triple X was a fun movie.  About as campy as any Bond flick I've ever seen, which is the whole point I suppose. Signs is good for one or two viewings but I wouldn't go running out and adding it to the home collection. Since I just watched it over the weekend again, I gotta say that I really, really like Con Air.  If nothing else, just for the cast they assembled for that flick.

The older Bonds were better, with Sean Connery. Pierce Brossnan comes close, but not quite. Personaly, a despise Harry Potter in general and loved We Were Soldiers. You guys gotta see the napalm!    Gods and Generals also looks good, I plan to go see it as soon as it comes out. Hopefully it will be more accurate than Gettysburg was...   ----------------------- "The point of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other &*@#$% die for his!"                                                                           -General Patton FM/LCRW Chipmunk Man/Viper 1-4/Phoenix/mSSD Atrus/DEF/VEN/VE/(=A=)

OK a couple of good movies that you folks probably haven't seen due to the fact that they aren't main stream. Narc- Ray Liotta film about using a narcotics officer to find a cop killer, good if rarely seen. Bowling for Columbine- a very good documentary on gun violence in America, not your average flick but something worth seeing. ok those are the new movies that I've seen now for something interesting Favorite film of all time- Fight Club- anyone who saw or read this was moved and its impact is always something to see.  Everyone remembers seeing this film and if you haven't you should.

/me would laugh but that would be insulting. Narc is at best a passable above-average retread of a good twenty 70s cop movies.  But it has been getting decent press so I don't know about it not being mainstream. Bowling for Columbine is, as usual, a well intended effort by Michael Moore to make us think.  However, also as usual, he gets his facts wrong and thus destroys his message's credibility from the get-go.  I honestly wish the guy did better research so he wouldn't be discredited so easily. Fight Club.  Any former Fallen Angel is gonna argue that this didn't inspire half of their antics, and I'm going to continue to argue to the contrary.  If you haven't considered half of these ideas in your head before watching the movie, you are either incredibly dense or intensely stupid.  I blame the state of the educational system in the US for either occurence.  It was a great movie which I enjoyed the hell out of.  As far as it being a manifesto of new thinking...I get more surprised by seeing a decent restaurant chain move into my local mall's food court.

Hey chipmunk, I saw a sneak peak of Gods and Generals last night. It was 3 1/2 hours of my life that I woul very much like to have back. The three battle scenes were cool, but the rest of the movie was just boring. It was definatly an hour and a half too long. Between the three battles were 30-45 minutes of plain boredom. Ted Turner basically took the entire book of Gods and Generals and put it into film. It's the worst way to do a movie. I wouldn't recomend it to anyone, except someone who likes to waste their time and be bored in a darkened theatre for 3 1/2 hours.

Ok, good movie, well I thought so.. Boondock Saints.  Their second one is coming out soon.. has the hot guys for the few chicks that are here... and lots of shooting and guns for the action fans.  I also like hackers.. not for the realism... cause there was not a whole lot there, and it is a bit dated... but it was still a good flick. Matrix of course... there are a TON of good movies out there... oh.. have to agree with the momento post... just saw that not too long ago, wow was that a weird one... screwed up my head for the better half of a day

Memento, I'll give that one a big hell yeah.  I'm still wigged out by that movie.  The Usual Suspects, another awesome movie, and one that requires a minimum of two viewings.  Pulp Fiction, just a plain cool film with some great one liners.  Jackie Brown, same thing. "The AK-47.  When you absolutely positively have to kill every mother ****er in the room, accept no substitutes." 'nuff said.

I'll second the "Hell ya" for Memento, great film, and I've gotta nod for Boondock Saints too, also a good flick. I highly recomend them both. Also, Snatch and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrols are great films made by the same guy whose name I cannot remember. Very unique style to 'em though.

Heh, chipmunk, a friend of my dad's was there and he's a re-enactor and he even thought it was a bit too long. He was there wearing a Union Army hat. It was kinda funny. Oh, and a good movie that some of you have probably seen, but I still highly recomend: American History X. Damn good movie.
