Who would be interested in a VE PA? Would- Swomz, Darkhawk, Marajade, Solo Might- Sk8guy, Talon Anyone else interested, if we started a VE PA, we would need a few  more, not to mention it wouldn't be as fun with only 4 or 6 people.  The requirement for a PA is 7 I believe.

WOOHOO!!! Kadann, I love you. I mean, I loved you before and all ... but now I really love you. If we were to set up a city somewhere, where do you all think it should be? I feel Rori would be a good location, but perhaps it's too much like Lopen and not a good place to start a base. Talus might work - it should be a somewhat nice place to live, and I don't see too many people starting out there when Corellia, Naboo, and Tatooine are in the game. I just feel that those planets are going to be way too crowded to try to set the VE up. hehe I mean, we rock and all, but I don't know if we're going to have a whole lot of people. How about Mr. Ambassador sets up an agreement with the FES that we share a town? That could get interesting...

Or we could always set up towns right next to each other on the same planet.  Where is a list of planets we can choose from?  We'd definately want to be somewhere where there aren't a lot of people roaming around.  When the space expansion pack comes out, then we would basically have our own planet with the FES.  Maybe take over a system.

My sentiments exaclty Darkhawk Kadann, I will give you any info you need on AIM tonight, possible pLanets at the start of the game are Tatooine, Corellia, and Naboo.  Eventually 6 more will be added including Yavin, and others I cant name. A site for you to look at is starwarsgalaxies.com (starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com) Check out the FAQ and the current info, the FAQ has a bunch of info, whereas the current info tells about the 9 planets, 25 professions, skills, and that type of thing. Another thing is that you may want to start towns on the same planet, close enough to help defend each other, but far enough to have some trade independency. On the subject of alliances.  I know a club that may be interested in allying with us.  It is currently quite small, but has room to grow For where to start, I have only heard people talk about Corellia and Tatooine.  Naboo would seem like a good choice then, but Corellia has more trade options and should have more options on where to establish a base of operations. We'd definately want to be somewhere where there aren't a lot of people roaming around.  -That is a quote from what Kad said, so Naboo seems like the more obvious choice at the moment.  The idea of setting up a town may not be to good for a while, cause later on there will be more planetary options, so we may want to move.  You cant move a whole town. What are we going to do about trade?  trade and mining and such will be a big part of the game, so it may be in good sense to recruit some VEEC members who are interested to start figuring out ideas on what to do there. finally, it has come to my attention that some FES members are in the SWG Beta, maybe talk to them about it unless it is part of their contract or whatever not to. I think I know a little about the Galaxies subject, so if anyone has questions, I can help or just post the question here. Star Wars: Galaxies is a HUGE online Role Playing simulator (available for PC on April 15th of this year). http://www.lucasarts.com/products/galaxies/splash.htm As much as I want to join in the action, I don't think I'll be able to get this one. I can't pay out ten bucks a month to play a game right now. I'm already forking out 80 bucks a month for a shopping cart that I'm using., and I don't think my connection would survive for five seconds on this 3d terrain. I'd have to wait to get broadband so that I could enjoy it. Pssst! Little hint: Emperor Palpatine may be played by LEC staff, but Darth Vader is up for grabs.

lol, sk8 and Cos, the Galaxies doesnt matter what type of conn, I am not sure how it works, but if one person lags, so does everyone, so you should be oka unless your graphics card sucks as well JR-  What Cos said, except it is an MMORPG, massive multiplayer online role playing game, he prolly knew that It also is not like a vclassic rpg, it is with graphics and will eventually be like a combination of JKII and XWA, but better wqith player interaction anbd you get to do what y ou want instead of set goals (there are some missions you can choose to take to raise your character).

This is totally beside the whole SW Galaxies riot going on here, but the $80 is for a very good shopping cart that can pretty much do anything (customizable) that you want. I've checked out about 15+ shopping carts and they all have the ability to suit your basic needs, but not the customizable options that I want. It has a good reputation anyway. NASA, Baywatch, and the US Open (Tennis) use it to sell their products.

Rock on. Perhaps we should start early and begin thinking about how we want this whole town/base to run. As Say pointed out on IRC last night, we might not be able to have players outside of North America play with those inside of it - which SUCKS. So there would possibly be TWO VE operations. Anyway.
