Ok,
the laxness in this squad is over now
for the last 2 and a bit weeks i have asked some very basics requests of activity and havent seen much of anything
now before i go any further i know all of you guys have real lives and VE is second in your life (or lower :P)
its the same with me
however, there is certain activity requirements that are required
i am not being unreasonable, you joined VE and passed flight school so i know you all have it in you
now then i am going to start stepping on toes
first off
WEEKLY REPORTS ARE A MUST
i am evening offering to PAY YOU 1k a week for your reports
its a requirement that isnt required to be rewarded but i do it anyway as an incentive for you to put in FIVE minutes of activity
in addition
Flight Leaders:
Check up on your flights and get them going, you are responsible for the 3 ppl under you
in order to get some activity at the flight level i am starting a competition
It will be a flt vs flt competition
and will be run over a MP gaming portion and a story portion
it may also include RPG but i have to talk to Emon about that
expect this to start in the next 10 days
as well
Tim2w has been working on the website and after we discuss a few things it will be up soon
i am creating a squad e-mail group addy so we can brainstorm and communicate more
but, this is all a waste of tiem if there is no commitment from you guys
the slide is over
if you miss a report, ok fine, everyone does occasionally
if you miss a report twice in a row then i would have to consider you AWOL unless i see that you are indeed active and are forgetful in which case you will get a nasty reminder you really dont want to see :P
also, i now ask that all of you in addition to reports put in some basic activity each week
from this point on you are required to do at least ONE of the following things
1. come on mIRC into the kaph chan, talk with the guys, and brainstorm on what we can do differently and better in addition to having some fun and doing some informal RPGing which will hopefully start soon
2. participate in the on going squad MP gaming ladder competition that will start shortly after the site is unveiled and i finish working out the details
3. work on the post esc story that riel is starting
trust me before you groan
i had a long talk to him about it and it should be hilarious
its not the same old piloting stuff that gets dull
4. design graphics and help in other ways to bring up and or maintain and improve the kaph site once it is up
now that isnt too much to ask that you put in some basic time and commitement to this squad
its time to stop shrugging and saying ah well kaph is dying and lax who cares anymore
care guys
this squad can be lively and fun if we all put some effort in it
and the best part is
you will have FUN if the squad is active
active squads are a lot of fun
all it requires is some work from your part
the following is the current roster of kaph and their status as well as any comments i have

1-2 Corran (leave)
1-3 WYD (active on mIRC but would like to see reports and some gaming)
FL Denethor (status unknown please speak to me)
2-2 Face (ok i knonw you are here, i see you post occasionally, would love to see you on mIRC and some gaming)
2-3 Emon (Executive officer and RPG controller, expect to be moved to a different flight with a new rank, also i need to talk to you about the RPG)
FL Sabre (just returned from leave, hopefully you get settled in you new home soon and we see you back in action)
3-2 Red 5 (AWOL?)
3-3 Tim2w (currently working on the site for us, would like to see you on mIRC some though)
3-4 Doggy (the fact that i didnt know you were in my squad speaks for my question...AWOL?)
those with the AWOL? better report soon or your AWOL status will be confirmed.
im not being tyrannical but it is time to lay down some basic standards here
this can be a great squad but it is a MUST that you do these things
i hate to do it but if necessary i will AWOL, demote, and transfer ppl if it comes down to that
lets hope we get a turn around and we wont come to that

ok i am waiting for a reply from tim2w as to what he needs for the site to get up
i also have our group e-mail addy
and kaph will be getting up to hopefully 3 good active members into this squad in order to help give those who need toes stepped on a little more pressure and some well needed encouragement and advice
those people are Darkhawk, Twin Fury, and Xaphrel
Darkhawk is on loan from Aegis, Twin Fury is looking for a more spec ops oriented squad, and Xaphrel is on loan from Viper.

Hi all.
Sorry about my unexplained absence for the last week, some fool broke my housemates internet connection at a party (it may have been me but hell, i can't remember).
I am now upto date with the situation and i will try to do what i can, unfortunatly that may not be much as i know pretty much bugger all about computer's (i dont even have one), but i can write stories and my housemate has XWA & X-wing vs Tie so i will ask him how i can play those online.

Sk8, I used the fonts 'Visitation' and 'Terminator 2', and they look real nice. 'Visitation' is the font I used to type out the words 'Kaph Squadron' in the banner and 'T2' for the small words underneath it. Just a little imagination and it can go a long way. It's actually quite simple. But you must know you're HTML pretty well though.
Thanks Art. You're welcome. Anyway hopefully you can type out a decent paragraph for the 'About Kaph Squadron' webpage. It's pretty empty. And if there's any honors just email them plus the paragraph to me at [email protected]

Why dunt you check out the html source and play around with it? I use a lot of tables, which can be confusing. I learnt html by looking at scources. -----------------------

Update your email addy on the database then, the roster is where we get addys from, and if yours isn't right, we'll not be able to send you stuff. I think you can change it in your bank info, pretty sure. Probably also in the roster. -----------------------
