zafo, glad you're back, I hope you'll have time to delve into the posts that I wrote on the last page, I think. They're pretty good and I had some time to do them last week.

Anyways, yesterday I was a bit tired, after having written a kind of big chinese essay that just made my clothes started to smell and make me all pooped. So I wasn't able do too much on the specialities, but I'm going to take the time this afternoon to write my Writing Clinic assignment, so that'll be done by this evening.

Oh, yeah, I almost forget, I was just thinking, I mean the last few posts made by me on the last page of the Euceron games story still didn't fully cover my past, so once I get my profile written, I should start a development story, so everyone can get to know my past.

But of course, I shouldn't forget about the dark vs dragoons that we haven't finished.

Ok guys, heres the scoop.

There is a story in the works. I'm schedualed to work plenty, since Ive been gone for three weeks; but I should have time tomorrow. (Mind You, I thought I did today :/). Anyways, this story is going to have a dual role - A story (duh), aaaaaand an AWOL check. Why? Because otherwise, some of you might not be motivated to post. We here have been slacking too much (with exceptions, of course) over the past while. Our activity dropped from an astounding high during the Devaron campaign, to frightning lows. Details pertaining the AWOL portion of the story will follow with its release.

Also, reports. I honestly don't see any reason why one doesnt send their report during the week. If you can't get em in thursday, send them sunday. If you forget, friday is still not too late; so you've got a three day window there. I know I said it before, and I said I ment it; so Im going to feel stupid saying it again...

Your slates are wiped clean. As of now; nobody has any missed reprots. Yay? Not quite. There are consequences for missed reports; often not thouroughly enforced, because people don't feel the need. However, the way I see it, we do have the need. I don't like to have to threaten you guys, but if itll be the only way to jumpstart us back into activity, so be it.

I am also completely aware that Im being hypocritical, because my activity has definatly been terrible as well. We are all just caught up in the thrills of the summer I'm sure, but we can't just let everything drop dead.

Another brick in my "Squad Re-incarnation Plan" is getting weekely meetings going again. I havent planned any yet, because with summer scheduals; people are often not home, and dont want to have to schedual real lives around VE. Solution? When school starts, very few people go out on Sunday nights. Perfect Time for meetings. Tell me what you guys think about it, or any other comments/questions.

And yes reports...

Though you no longer are required to send them to me. Yup.

Over the past couple of months (basically since my promotion to Squad Leader), my Vast Empire Activity spiralled downwards. Many factors to this including a busy work schedual and my social doings litteraly taking up nearly every waking moment. Countless times I told myself "Ok, you've got responsibilities here, time to step up.", countless times, I failed.

Figured I could after I injured my arm. I was wrong.
Figured I could after I returned from vacation. I was wrong.
Figured I could after the end of my relationship. I was wrong.

So it dawned upon me that It was absolutly pointless for me to dream about pulling up in activity, especially a level befitting that of a Squad Leader. Especially with the beggining of CEGEP (College in Quebec); if I couldnt find time during the summer...how could I even think about during school...

So in all fairness (and I'm pretty sure its gotten to the point where If this didn't happen voluntairily within the next...soon...it would've been done forcefully.), I am stepping down as Squad Leader.

I'm sorry I was never able to truly bring the squad to new heights, like I hoped, and I'm sorry you guys and to go through this period of eventless crap.

And so it goes.

Oh, I whipped out quite the story (or so I think) giving Zafo a reason for stepping down. Posted it on Storynet under "The Journey to Insanity..."

So for the next...while, my character is a little more...well...you'll understand.

I have some bad news, guys, this is what I sent to Zafo and Sam about the situation, though for Sam I had a little incentative I decided to add (if incentative could be the right word), I think.

School's starting, so I've got to get ready and going on my preparation for the school year, plus this 9th grade year, we have a very important middle school exam that will determine if we get into high school, I cannot fail this one, because failing means I'm done, and that's final. also only 50% of the people who take this test comes out going to a good and important high school.

This means probably a  whole year, so I'll probably be not on every week, maybe not even weekends. But let me stay in the squad, I love Dark Dragoons and I don't want to leave it because of AWOL. Talk to Rizzit or Cosmic and try to convince them to let me stay, please. If they let me stay, after the exams, I'll have a whole week where I could do whatever I want, as long as I do good on the tests, so please bear with me on this one, it's important, Sam.


I asked Sam and Zafo if they could give me an answer by tomorrow morning and it better be here in DD, where it's best.
