Good afternoon Ladies, Gentlemen, and Sentients of all kinds.

Over the recent months, the Naval High Command has been working on revamping, and hopefully, vastly improving the Naval division of the Vast Empire. We've tossed many ideas around, thrown some out, and expanded on some. The following, is what we've come up with and have instituted into the roster. As of this moment, these changes are in effect!

Addition #1 : We will be placing everyone, excluding Ship Captains and those in the SCAP program, on to a single ship, the Halcyon Warrior. We hope this will create a much deeper unity within the Navy as well as give us more cohesive writing. We also hope to allow the Navy to expand it's Character Development horizons. There's so many more things to do when you have a larger group to play around with!

Addition #2 : The NHC has integrated a somewhat old concept originally designed by Vice Admiral Stormz (when he was much younger and not as grouchy). That concept was to have "elements" within the various crew member positions that are available. (Please reference the Roster for a visual example.) What we are striving for is to, again, keep people working together and actively engaged in the story they're ship is involved in. It will also allow for more leadership roles, thus giving your superiors more room to allow you to grow.

*NOTE* The roster does not depict every "element" available. For convenience purposes, we added only 4 of the elements. As we grow in membership, we'll begin to add additional positions. If you have an element you wish to be a part of, but it's not on the roster, I urge you to PM Vice Admiral Stormz, Vice Admiral Denethor and Captain Drac. We will do our best to meet everyone's requests for the ultimate roleplaying experience.

To go along with this reform, the Fleet School (FS) has been reopened for recruits to take part in. To allow for current members who wish to join the Fleet side of the VEN, please private message the following with an application (this will be explained in a post to come): Stormz, Drac, Denethor, Trykon. These members will discuss the applicants and chose from those who will be taking part in the first round of Fleet side members.

*NOTE* In order to keep the Starfighter Corps and Fleet equally strong, some applicants may not be accepted. This is not to be taken as a negative connotation toward the member, we are just trying to keep both portions of the Navy strong.

Most of the changes are fairly clear cut and obvious... I personally would only have one question for instance - how come VENI was remade into a squadron, with the CNI as squadron leader no less?

It's possible that piloting may be a requirement for the agents, but I would imagine they would work a whole lot more efficiently if spread out and occasionally working solo. As for the latter, I always assumed a Chief of any department would require a ship or a station from which to properly operate, be it a humongous SSD, regular ISD, training station or possibly some smaller capital ship equipped with mission specific gear (an Assassin-corvette with stealth packages for instance).

I actually didn't know that the VENI had been reformed into a 'squadron' of sorts.

We'll discuss this and get something a little more in tune pushed out.
