Actually Slasher is correct. If you look at some of the members of old, you'll see they have multiple merit cross awards in their signature. Its represented like This:

My vote be yay: let's have the Merit Cross be stackable, honoring specific actions/contributions, and have two distinct "levels," to stratify the honor a bit.
Also, I have a request, since the awards' wiki page is being evaluated at the moment, anyway: could we clarify the criteria for awards? Right now, the descriptions of what earns a member a medal are a bit vague, and sometimes site IC reasons like "bravery" and sometimes OOC reasons like "work on a website." Could we come up with a system whereby every award's description, in addition to listing the IC reason for awarding it to a character, also lists the OOC reason for awarding it to a member/writer? i'd personally NOT like to get too detailed as to the specific reasons or criteria for awarding a medal. i'm not going to be hamstrung by wording when handing out shineys to the deserving.
now, the reason for the award is fine, however since most times we've not kept track of any 'reasons' it' will be a mostly blank slate...except those given going forward
