While we're on the subject of certifications, I will gently point out that those of us just now joining the Navy actually have to write the missions to earn our certifications, unlike other members of longer service, who seem to have been granted a number of them as a kind of reward. Now, no doubt these "catch-up" certifications reflect accumulated experience, but then again they're hardly evaluating the specific skills of those veteran members. And you vets seem to forget that I'm barred from even attempting the certification mission until I've gone through the process of gaining another couple of promotions, and that the lack of an official test score does not necessarily imply a lack of skill, nor of experience. Am I confident? Absolutely. Am I overconfident? The only way to know for sure is to meet me (and the Revenant) in the skies. So why don't you stow the "n00b"-talk, abandon your sophomoric quest to bother DeepSix, and back up your idle disparaging words with gallant deeds from the cockpit? - OOC:

All of which is why I waited until I did to mention anything about Certs, Tryk. By the same token, remember- regardless of the background you wrote for your character, he can't match vets in the cockpit yet and won't for some time. That's always been the VE policy, which we all started under- even Stormz. There aren't any Anakin/Luke Skywalkers in regard to natural piloting talent.
And I'll bug anyone I want to in pursuit of activity- just ask Driver if you doubt me.
