Since we're talking about this idea then...While it would be handy in some cases it wouldn't be something used as often as the reply or forward buttons (for obvious reasons) and the only time where this feature would be handy would be if everyone to whom the message had been sent to would like to see one another's reply. For most folks mass PMs are sent out to let more than one person know something and if thoughts are to be shared, it is to be known by the sender  and receiver only in most, if not all cases.  So how useful would it really be? And we also have to think about the part where would we actually use the feature? Orr would it just be sitting there for the most part? If it will be rarely used, what is the point of having it?

How many times do you use smilies? How many times do you use the quote feature? How many times do you use the "attach screenshot to post" feature?  How many times do you use the Imperial Image Gallery? How many times do you use the "Like/Dislike" feature? How many times to you subscribe to threads? How many times do you actually look at the statistics of the boards?

Now that you've kindly made all those points Val, what would be the point of adding this feature since all the things you pointed out are rarely used - so why would we push to have this added almost a year after it had been initially suggested? We all liked the idea of a Like/Dislike button, but after that....What happened? Why are all the people who pushed for these things not using them?

And we also  have to think  a bit about where Kad comes into play here as well.

Well, I don't know how often I would use it, but I know there has been a couple times now where I could've used a reply to all feature. I like to communicate to whole groups rather than just one person if there's a mass message unless my comment/question/suggestion/criticism is only meant for one person. Then I'd make a new message anyway.

Point is, I see some legitimate use for a reply to all function.

I've already posted on this thread (albeit a long time ago), but it would be an incredibly useful feature.

And Lucky, I'm not really sure why you're so against this idea. Improving the site to make life easier (even if it's just for a few people) is never a bad thing. Better to push for improvements than allow the site to stay permanently frozen in time.

Not sure what you're trying to acheive in this thread Lucky? There was no need to post several times just to say "I wouldn't find this feature this useful"

Now I know for a fact the HC would have some appreciation for the issue as at times I've been exchanging pm's with them and because there is no "reply all" button we all have to copy and paste into the "to" window every time.

Personally I'd find it very useful, if Kad ever had the time, but I'm aware of the fact that he is particularly busy at the moment
