Oh, Ellie, looks like you referred to the Gamma FL and Regent Five as the same person. Regent Five is Beta's Flight Leader, and Nine is Gamma's. So if Fianna is Gamma's flight leader not only would she be in a different flight from Sarah but she'd also have the wrong designation  Just wanted to clear that up. Well, my posts usually average about exactly 500 words, and I've been writing for the navy for over a year now And what you've been writing so far is pretty high-quality is far as the navy goes, maybe we have lower standards or something.

You've been doing great, guys. As for quality- everyone should always strive to improve there. Challenge yourself. If, taking Maroy's example, you've averaged 500 words a post for a year now, maybe it's time to aim for 750 or 1000. In that regard I'm talking about adding quality by adding detail more than I'm talking about adding length for length's sake. Spending a few minutes trying to find some obscure synonym for a common word can really spice things up too.

If you're already putting up a good number of words, I'd recommend reading some high reading level novels or other such books and studying the techniques the authors use. It's probably not this way for everyone, but for me at least it's true: You don't learn to write well from English teachers. You learn it from reading the works of those who write well.
