Moon Festival: Is about the civilians coming together when the moon is at its fullest. They celebrate the Summer’s harvests. Tradition food is then concocted. Civilians gathers in crowds, all wearing gold, silver and green colours which representing nobility, courage and prosperity. At sunset, communities gather together for a traditional meal- no alcohol allowed. In fact, the foods are to be made with as little preservatives possible, making use of the raw product they reaped from the ground. Together, the folks gather in a march while lighting up lanterns or candles with a drum band walking in front giving beat to the tradition songs sung by the people as they walk through the small capital. Various floats are created to mimic historical characters stemming from the first colonists that claimed Kolstor. Plays, re-enactments are also to be expected. This night is considered as a dignified and holy event, where all quarrels and obscurities are forgotten for the day. The night ends with the government leader presenting a speech to the people of Kolstor. - OOC:

You'll remain dodging in and out buildings for the whole festival to perceive everything from a good distance, not to mention having macrobinoculars around your neck will attract attention. Grapple guns might prove as an alternative at jumping from building to building. BlackJack: Black Jack, you guys will be joining the local security force, because you will be needing some armour, shields, teargas, guns with plastics bullets and whatnot, and for a civilian carrying that equipment, will attract too much attention. You guys will be stationed and kept hidden, because the Festival dictates no violence. You and your Kolstor buddies are there for just in case. This is your equipment.

When the speech is made, you will be dressed in the traditional gold, silver and green colours, this will require you to sing along and dance along of course, so better go learn some steps  You will initiate the riot when the speech is near the end. Equipment: Clothes on your back. Nothing else. Why? Because if someone discovered a weapon on you, the plot will more or less be exposed since no true Kolstor civilian would carry a weapon during moon festival. And no extra weaponry or equipment will be given except possibly those requested by the squad command. Take note, all of this will take in the main city square where the main governor building is located. Black Jack, you have *in story* 2 days to complete your current mission objectives, before you move towards the riot objective. The Jesters that are assigned to Black Jack, just wait a while, and start scouting the area and get to know the danger points. The Jesters that are assigned with Paladin will join the Black Jack- Jester group in the festival. Wow, thanks Ae, great post.
Alright, y'all have set places and tasks. If you have any questions, please ask instead of opting not to post. Even if you have to edit at a later stage, you'll have a post up and you'll be progressing the story. I'm getting the feeling that confusion about the more intricate plotline is stopping you guys from fully participating.
We're doing quite well Storm, but there's a lot more fun to be had with this. As you might have seen, Riq's Company quick write competition is coming up on the 19th. Depending on how we go, we might suspend the platoon story for the weekend, or wrap it up just beforehand. Check here for further details as we draw closer.

i was wondering if i could create a NPC character who is on the NR side, sent to investigate the recent accusations against them. Anyone can use him, and he will first appear at the Moon Festival. We can have him there to complicate things.  |

Alright everyone, I will be wrapping the Platoon Story up on Thursday my time, which gives you roughly 48 hours to post again if you like. To be brutally honest, the story wasn't as big as a success as I would of liked, but there have been some fantastic individual efforts which will be officially recognized over the next week or so.
A big thank you to everyone for participating, I hope you had fun trying out something a little different. From now on in I'd like you all to focus on the upcoming quick write competition, and your respective squad stories after the weekend.
