== Background History ==
Kyrus is a Zabrak, born on Tatooine. The Hassar family moved there from Iridonia, after many confrontations between the Zabraks and the Empire, who were trying to bring Iridonia under Imperial reign. His father, Kronos, was a great and respected warrior on Iridonia, but when they moved to Tatooine, he took up a job as a common hunter, selling game that he caught in the Dune Sea.
Kronos died when Kyrus was only four, when he encountered a kyrat dragon on his way back from one of his hunts. Kyrus was raised single-handedly by his mother, Saphira. She also continued to hunt in the Dune Sea, but also took up a job as a mechanic in one of the space ports in Mos Eisley. She would often take Kyrus with her when she hunted and taught him everything she knew about being a mechanic.
When Kyrus was fifteen, it was time for him, in Zabrak tradition, for him to return to Iridonia and complete his rite of passage, a trial that would prove himself to be a man. Having no ship to transport him back to Iridonia, through his mother, he learned of a Count from Sereno, who was coming to Mos Eisley to hold a secret meeting with Jabba the Hutt.
Kyrus left his mother on Tatooine, stole the Counts ship and left for Iridonia. The Count had Jabba the Hutt place a bounty on Kyrus' head. Since then, many bounty hunters have tried to collect his bounty, but as always, the Kyrus slips away from all of them. Some of the bounty hunters have never been heard from again.
For many years, Kyrus Hassar was nowhere to be found, aside from the occasional bounty hunter that had encounter him on a wide variety of planets.
Kyrus wasn't found until three years later, where he was found by the Empire, in a public medical center. No one knows what happened to him, but he was bleeding badly from the left side of his head, where a horn was cracked at the base of his skull, appearantly from some encounter he had had, most likely another bounty hunter. It was later patched up by a medical droid, leaving him a scar on the back of his head.
The Empire, seeing talent in the Zabrak, paid off the bounty on Kyrus, in exchange for his service to the Empire. He agreed and was recruted into the Imperial Army.
== Character's Personality ==
After spending nearly half of his adult life on the run, Kyrus Hassar has become somewhat socially alienated. He has a hard time with trusting other people on a personal level, but is willing to grant them his trust if they've proven themselves on the battlefield. To the few people and organizations he has given his allegiance to, his loyalty to them is unwavering. However, he does not let his personal feelings get in the way of his missions, and firmly believes that the end always justifies the means.
Having mastered the art of deception, he has no problem with lying to other people, but since joining the Vast Empire, his tendency to lie has been fettered by a sense of morality.
His approach in combat reflects his personality, as Hassar prefers stealth and will rarely engage the enemy directly unless strategically advantageous. When he is forced to initiate hostilities, he will attack in close range with brutal efficiency. Otherwise, he favors indirect weaponry, such as grenades, trip-mines, and snipers. When it comes to combat, he has learned that cover is a soldiers most valuable defense.
