the3Djedi quickly packed his stuff, then ran off toward the transports.  Rizzit was standing at the boarding ramp when he arrived. "Hey Jed, first one here." Rizzit said. "Well, thats good. Can I board?" "Sure." the3Djedi trotted up the ramp, and went to the storage room at the back.  Tossing his stuff to the ground, he turned back to find a seat and nearly ran into Dee. "Whoa!" Jed jumped back with surprise. "Sorry if I scared ya." he smirked. "I wasn't scared, just surprised." "Whatever." Shaking his head, Jed walked back to the main part of the ship.  Finding a seat near a window, he sat down and sighed.  Hmm...this is going to be an interesting mission.  Ahh well, I better get so some sleep now.  He leaned back and closed his eyes.                       >>>>>>hours later<<<<<< Slowly sitting up, the3Djedi glanced out the window and saw stars flying by.  Was I asleep that long? he though. "Ok men, we're almost there!" Rizzits voice seemed a little louder than normal. "Great." Strider said, "I wanna stop losing to this dumb computer." He hit the computer screen with frustration. Rizzit spoke again. "Well, I wanted to brief you before we go out there.  As you know, we are going to have to wear these old magma suits well we're outside.  It's not gonna be fun, its gonna be grueling.  I would like to stay together as long as possible.  We don't know if the comlinks will work, because there might be some interference.  Oh, looks like we're here." The starlines appeared, and then disappeared into the millions of dots that were stars. "Well, lets gets this party rollin'!" Otto raised his hand above his head. "Faithful to the end!" he shouted. "Okay here are the plans. We are going in as one unit. Otto and I will take the AT-ST/A. Shadow, and Dee you guys take the AT-ST! Jubei and Strider: you guys take the AT-RT. Jed and Mark you can take the two AT-PTs. TJ, you can take your epso101." Rizzit said. "Will the walkers be able to take the heat?" asked D-13. "I asked the engineers to put on a protective layer of shielding on the walkers. It is almost the same as our uniforms." "Well, I guess we will be safe then." "Let's move out" said Rizzit as they approached the six walkers. The groups boarded their appropriate walkers, and did a systems check. No Walkers were left un-occupied. It seemed to take forever to get going. They had to establish video com-link channels, and get everything up and running. Most importantly though, they had to adapt the walkers to the heat. They really had to put their engineering skills to work. They would definately not be leaving any time soon...

The3Djedi fired up his guns, and set his AT-PT to full speed. "OK." Rizzit's head appeared in his viewscreen. "Try to take out the guards carefully.  DO NOT blast everything you see.  That could cause some unexpected things to happen.  You fire when ready." "Understood." Jed spoke into his mike, then punched a button that activated his targeting computer.  Looking into it, he sighted one of the silver-armored guards, and pulled the trigger.  A laser streaked out of his and Marks walker, disintegrating two unsuspecting guards.  Seconds later, lasers form Jubei, Dee, Strider and Shadow blasted most of the others.  Suddenly, the remaining gaurds fell to their knees and fired.  Six missiles streaked towards the walkers. "EVASIVE MANUVERS!" Rizzit screamed throught the viewscreen. "NOW!" Jed quickly weaved his walker left and right.  Glancing out the window, he saw the rest of the squad doing the same.  C'mon...miss! he though grimly.  What would those missiles do to them?  5 seconds later, the warheads reached their position.  One missile just missed Jed's walker, it going through the "legs".  Another one hit Shadow adn Dee's own concussion launcher.  THe third hit the ground right in front of Marks walker, creating a crater right in front of him.  Missile 4 and 5 flew past everyone, exploding far out of the way.  The last one was heading straight towards Rizzit.  Using the force together, he and Otto willed the warhead upward.  It just  missed them, and you could see a black streak where the heat fromt missile had scorched the armor.  By the time that was over, the guards had re-loaded, and were getting ready to fire.  Jed sighted on one, and fired.  The laser hit one of the guards missile launcher, adn it exploded, knocking the other guards down.  Lasers lanced out from the other walkers, and soon they're were only dark stops where the guards had been.  Breathing a sigh of relief, Jed leaned back, sweat dripping down his face.  Only 1 minute and 32 seconds had past.  And then the mechs appeared.   ----------------------- TRP/LCPL the3djedi/3SQD/1PLT/1COM/1BAT/1RGT/VEA/VE "So chkool ROOL ya pool ya-ya ool-ra si pachki chka coo-shoo-koo poo-yoo-wa twee-pee." - Greedo

Things were definately looking up. Jed targeted another walker, and opened fire. The red laser just flew out of the rifle and into the enemy walker. This walker had a massave shield though. Rizzit came on the viewscreen once again. "Okay we're doing good. Let's try and focus all of our firepower on that enemy walker. I am getting a very strong reading on it's shield. We must be cautious." Before the squad could give Rizzit any sort of reply, more soldiers arrived with missle launchers. There were too many of them to shoot down, but as usual Rizzit had a plan. `TJ, Otto, when the missles get launched:let's try to use the force to lift the missles away from us. As for the rest of you try and shoot down whatever gaurds you can. A first missle was launched, and the three Dark Jedi prepared themselves, but the others quickly took aim to try and stop the other missles from launching. Little did they know, they were in more trouble than they realized. It was not something they had ever faced or dealt with before...not a Jedi, not a Rebel, something completely new. One thing was for certain: whatever this mysterious force was, would spell certain doom for the RAIDERS Squad...

After Digital-Mark set out the plan for Otto to get down there, Otto decided against it and put away his training sabre. "Hmm, not exactly the best idea for a trainee such as myself" he exlaimed after he put his sabre in his pack.   "Yeah, that probably wouldn't work out for you too much." agreed Rizzit.   "I'll go sir." this from TJ "Sounds good," said Otto "how bout it Rizz?"     "Sure, go at it Teej."   "Will do." TJ set his lasers and shifted his glances all over the entrance bay as the doors opened. He sensed a small defense squad would be waiting for them, a fairly sized one, but nowhere even close to be big enough to stop a fully armed squad of walkers. Just as he had felt, the door opened opened and several glints of red magna suits and the black and silver of weapons faced them from behind various crates and pillars. "All right guys," Rizzit addressed the squad over the comm. "they are behind the crates. See a glint of colour? Blast it until I tell you to stop." "Glints? I don't see anything sir, this bay seems to be empty." Jubei exclaimed. "I don't see anything, either Rizz." Mark exclaimed. "There are men behind those crates...trust us." TJ protested. "The area is clear, sir" Jubei kept saying. He was just about to move his walker forward when a blast zipped from behind one of the pillars and glanced of Jubei's mech,causing it to shake. "Hmmm...Rizz, TJ here...seems like the force is aiding our sight and the others cannot see it. Okay, guys...Rizz, Otto and I are going to transmit targets to you verbally. Fire on anything we give you." "Roger that." the others responded. After several rounds of instructions, the numbers of the defensive force were slowly diminishing. TJ's walker had taken quite a bit of damage, but luckily not enough to keep him from his duties. A couple minutes later, the opposing units had been completely eliminated. Looking around the room, the only other ways to get further into the installation, seemed to be a large bay door...presumably that was where the mech had come from and to the right of it was what looked like a small door for the factory's personnel. Oddly enough, both doors had controls on the outside of the door. Emerging from his walker, saber in hand...TJ went to inspect them and see if they could get through peacefully. Checking the bay door first, he found it locked but sensed a control room quite near by that could solve that problem. Now, if only the personnel door was unlocked. 'No harm in trying,' he thought to himself. Walking over and hitting the switch, TJ waited intently but to no avail...the door failed to move an inch. "Hey Rizz, bring your saber down here...let's see if we can break down this door." "Copy that."

A suspicious looking corridor behind the semi-hidden door  caught TJ's eye. "Hey, didn't the squad come out from there?" "Yeah they did.", replied Strider. The Raiders finished inspecting the damage. They proceeded to clear the hallways. One particular room just to the left of the opening of the hallway had a log. Rizzit picked it up and inserted it into a nearby computer. The screen flashed a very brief picture of a kind of cannon before burning out in a hail of sparks. Rizzit took it out in a hurry, but not fast enough to save it from destruction. Footsteps signaled the arrival of trouble. "Here they come again!", shouted Dee. Everyone ran out of the room into a burst of blue laser fire. The blaster bolts hit nothing but air, but the bolts just burned right through anything they hit, instead of leaving a burn like regular bolts do. One managed to nip off the magazine for Jed's blaster. "Whoa, that was close!" The Raiders returned fire swiftly. Within 2 minutes, the enemy was gone. A switch caught Jubei's eye and he had the urge to flip it. A section of the floor opened up. There was moaning sounds coming from within. Might be the missing personnel, might be a trap. The squad moved on in the darkness, mowing down anybody in their way. Soon, the path widened and the moaning sound became louder. A light in the far end of the hallway flickered on and off. Strider fired on a silhouette. "Don't shoot! We're prisoners!" Rizzit motioned for Mark and TJ to check the man out. Sure enough, it was one of the missing staff. "Where are the others?", inquired Mark. "They're being held downstairs for questioning. Some of them are dead." They handed the man a blaster and asked him to show the way. The staff member didn't get very far before someone's blaster bolt found their way to his brain. He dropped instantly. "Blue blaster! Duck!", shouted Strider. A series of blue blaster shots busted holes everywhere but the Raiders. Rizzit, who picked up the cannon from the last enemy trooper, fired on the trooper and terminated him. A turbolift at the end of the hall took them down to the detention level. A blast of stink hit everyone. There were stormtrooper corpses rotting around the ground. "Dang........", commented Dee. They made their way around the lower levels until a red glow caught Otto's eye. There was a sleeping prisoner inside. He fired several useless shots at the forcefield. "Look! Theres a switch!", shouted Dee as he ran towards it. A bunch of turrets turned his way and began firing. Somehow they missed and he ran back. "I'm never gonna do THAT again.", he muttered. There was still the problem of getting to the switch. "I've got an idea!", said Mark.

Everyone got set up for a forced entry. TJ found a detonation pack in his belt. They wired it 3 feet from the corridor. Click. Nothing happened. Dee raised his eyebrow. "I wired it right, its not MY fault.", said Shadow. "Ahh.....", said Jed. He pointed the blaster right at the explosive and fired. BOOM! A squad of NR guards showed up. Dee drew their fire and led them right into the turrets. In a few minutes, they were nothing but corpses. "There's one problem with your plan, Dee.", said Otto. "What's that?", he replied. "How are you gonna get back across?" The sergeant thought quickly and tossed an EMP grenade into the turret's area. The machines shut down quickly. "Well, you could have thought of that before we came!" They charged through the newly blasted door. There was no resistance whatsoever. Rizzit just froze in place. "I sense something strange about this place...", he said. D-13 started to open the cells when Rizz started for him. "No! Dee don't!" Too late. The cells opened, and instead of prisoners, rebel troopers with those new cannons ran out and started firing. "I still sense prisoners here, somewhere.", said Rizzit, before ducking behind the control console. Strider spotted the turret controls. "Ahh hah.........", he said.

Jed and Dee lugged a small power generator over towards the door.  Grunting, they set it down in front of the door.  Suddenly, THe now familiar blue lasers were being fired through the door.  Rizzit looed back and swore.  "Any of those shots could know out our sabers, he cautioned Otto." "Hey, look at this!" Strider exclaimed. A whole rack of the "blue" guns were sitting there.  He grabbed one and began firing through the door, at the Rebels.  The rest of the squad followed in suit.  Jed looked closer at his gun.  He saw a small knob, and tried turning it all the way up.  Aiming the gun at the door, he fired.  A huge blue laser shot out of his gun, and he heard the muffled screams and yells of the Rebels on the other door.  Their guns stooped firing.  All was silent except for the shutdown of two sabers. "Jed?" Rizzit asked quietly.  "What was that?" "Uh..." he pointed blankly at the little knob he had turned. All the other Raiders quickly examined theire guns, and too, saw a knob there. "Wow..." TJ said. "What did this thing do to them?" "My question is, why weren't they using it earlier." Jubie said. "I suppose that they didn't want to hurt anything around here." Rizzit answered. "But, imagine this in our hands..." "So, does this mean we don't have to go through the ceiling?" Jed asked. "Yeah, I suppose...Don't sense any others alive out there." Rizzit said. "Well, lets go!" Mark exclaimed. The Raiders trooped out of the "trap" room, and headed back to their walkers.  "Once there, with the prisoners help, we can determine where they are manufacturing these guns." Rizzit explained.  Suddenly, a small squad of Rebels came running up the hall.  Rizzit noddeed to Jed.  He raised the gun to his eye, then pulled the trigger.  Nothing happened. "JED!" The rest of the squad raised their guns, and all began firing.  Only one gigantic laser came out of each gun.  What happened to the Rebels was a sight beyond words.  The were pushed back about 20 feet, blue electricity wound all around their bodies.  The screaming and yelling finally subsided.  "Jed, what happened!" Rizzit yelled. "I don't know!" Jed began exacmining his gun.  There was a little power meter on the side of his gun.  It was empty.  "The guns must only have enough power for one of those shots!" He exclaimed. "But that means.." Otto started. Foosteps were heard coming down the hall toward them. "We left our blasters back in the room!" Dee yelled.  The squad turned and ran back towards the prison room.

"Gather all the prisoners and get them out of here!" Rizzit shouted. "I am going on ahead to ward off some of the primary defenses. Who's coming with me?" "Rizzit! I'll go." offered Otto Vox. "No Otto, as my XO, it is up to you to make sure these guys do things correctly. TJ, you can come." TJ nodded and went with Rizzit. On their way out, Rizzit ignited his saber and began whirling around with it. Slashing through troops like they were nothing. One trooper was armed with a few sequencer charges, and was controlling them manually. Rizzit was so busy killing soldiers, that he did not see them placed on the ground. Once he was in position, the Rebel pressed the button and BOOM! Rizzit went flying across the room as the charges exploded. Rizzit was badly wounded. TJ, had stayed back due to the fact that he sensed something. He went over to Rizzit, who was just laying there wounded badly. "Maybe next time you'll learn to look before you leap." he said. "I screwed up that badly?" "I wouldn't say that. The squad has less work to do thanks to you. I now need to get you to a medic." "No. I will stay here, you take Otto and give him my lightstaff. Strider should be able to handle things. *CoughCough*"Rizzit said. "What about you?" "I will NOT be responsible for my squad having to fail this mission. I have my old training saber, and my stormtrooper rifle should I need it. Go deal with the turrets with Otto. That is an order soldier." said Rizzit as he laid down. "You gonna be alright?" "I need rest. Once I rest, I can probably reach out with the force. If I can do that, maybe I can heal my wounds." "Good Luck." "Same to you. GO!" said Rizzit. With his Orders recieved, TJ went back to get Otto.

"Aww hell, they have Ion Cannons." Strider said. " "Those things'll be shielded heavily, but we need to give that shuttle more time. Strider, can you  get in there and knock out the operator?" Otto asked. "I can try sir, but if that 'trap' was any indication of how well they protect important people in the complex, I would imagine I couldn't do it alone." answered Strider. "Teej, go with him. Jed and I will stay put and hold them off out here." TJ nodded and covered Strider's back. The two soldiers made it into the Ion cannon's operation chamber and were surprised to find that there was no operator. TJ realized the one they got into was a decoy, the one firing at the shuttle was on the other side of the ridge. "Otto, this is Strider, it's another trap,  a decoy, the Ion Cannon we need is on the other side of this ridge. There's no way we'll get to it before it fires another blast. We'll just have to hope the shuttle can get out of there quickly enough." Strider said over the commlink "Understood, Corporal, stay where you are, we'll try to get you two out of there, somehow. Otto out." "Understood sir, awaiting further orders."

OOC: Let's get the squad back into action! Rizzit took out a datapad and checked off objective 1: liberate the imperial listening outpost. There was still the task of stealing the plans for the blue laser weapons. Strider looked toward the distant "research" station. "Otto, give me your macrobinoculars.", Rizzit said. Reluctantly, he handed the device over. Rizzit scanned the building for nearly 4 minutes. He gathered everyone and pointed to the building. "Ok, here's the plan: "Dee, you, Jubei, and Jed distract the guards."said Rizzit. "Strider, you pick off any targets of opportunity." Strider made a slight nod. "Meanwhile, Otto, TJ, and I will set the detonation charges at the left wall, where it's weakest.", he concluded his plan. "Wait a minute, what detonation charges?", inquired TJ. "Oh, I found a stash of explosives while I was healing up.", Rizzit replied with a slight grin. Everyone picked up their gear and stealthily made their way to the building.

OOC: lets finish the story soon "We're setting our charges now!", came the reply. A couple seconds later, Dee spotted them running towards him. Once everyone was ready, Rizzit pushed the button. BOOM! Everyone rushed into the firey hole, guns blazing. Surprisingly, they ran into little resistance. Most of the enemy here was already wiped out by the bomb explosion and heat from the outside. Otto noticed something very peculiar. The explosion had made a shock that seemed to have blown off the front door, which had apparently been open all this time. Everyone made a little chuckle and moved on. "Now we need to find the plans and then signal a shuttle." Alarms sounded not because the Raiders had busted in, but because of the explosion. It was starting to become unbearably hot inside. Dee heard a slight groaning. They peeked around the corner to find a bunch of corpses and dying men. "Close the blast doors................somebody....", said a scientist. He died before Rizzit could interrogate him. Looking at the data, Strider concluded that they were volcanic data. He leaned against a panel and accidentally pushed a nearly invisible button. A hidden turbolift appeared, but also the blast doors closed tightly shut. Jed tossed a thermal detonator down the hole and heard automatic blaster fire. "There are turrets down there!", he concluded. Everyone braced themselves for the inevitable. D-13 nearly tripped over a slightly raised tile. He bashed it down with his foot angrily and braced himself.
