Oh yeah, I still play!  I totally love that game!  Sith rock!

I'm really torn on this issue. I want to play it because it's Star Wars. But it's free to play and that's when the MMO's become...well, not special. And plus, it's going to be Pay to Win like everything else.

I wonder if my latency fixes will allow me to compete again. I stopped playing once I started getting into PVP and was killed in seconds during Huttball.

Just confirming that F2P will be up in the next 24 hours. I seem to recall some discussion of Ebon-Hawk (US RP-PVE) as a potential new home for VE members.

Free-to-Play is Coming on November 15th

I am pretty excited for this. And yes, we should certainly try getting on an RP server together. The only thing that sucks is how severely limited you are with free to play.

So are we agreed on Ebon-Hawk? I should be able to reroll first thing tomorrow (Aussie time). Might have to dredge up that old topic for character names so we can find each other.

I'll roll one on whichever server is decided if I can finish the game client download today.

I do, however, find that to be highly unlikely.

This is the original one, for those of us who were on Vulkar High and Lord Adraas.

This is the one that we created when we tried to reform on the Ebon Hawk server.

Are we any clearer to deciding which server we all want to use?

I think that is as ringing an endorsement of Ebon Hawk as any.  I have a level 50 Sith Sorc on that server, name of Serpentor (nice and simple, and close to my name here of Serpent.  Though yes, I now realise in hindsight that I have subconsciously chosen the name of one of my favourite G.I. Joe characters.  So sue me!).  I shall be on with him over the next few days, so anyone wants to friend me please send me a tell!

I suggest we all converge on that server and friend each other.  Once four of us are online together we can form a guild.  (I think we should aim for an Imperial guild for now, and then worry about a Republic guild later for those of us with Republic alts).

So, dare I re-open this for discussion: our name.

There was some debate about this a while back.  The original name was Vast Empire Marines, but it didn't really pull in interest.  Some of the other Imp guilds have pretty intriguing names like The Ministry of Imperial Inquest and such.

Do we want to take this chance to re-brand ourselves (so to speak) or re-form as the VE Marines again since that's the name of our forums here?

I like names with the word 'order' in them, so Order of Kadann sounds perfect!  Good one Skarr, I say we go with that!

Also, the maintenance is finished and I am playing now.  A few changes now that Free-to-Play has launched.  Best of all, I got my Party Jawa gift!  Its fraking awesome!

I'd give this a go, but i really don't have time. I'd suggest, that if you find a smallish guild without a website/forum, that you could suggest joining them as a group in exchange for them getting to use our awesome forum.

We don't have the kids to run a really enthusiastic organisation on our own.

Well, I'm going to wait possibly a few days to download the game. As of right now, the launcher won't even pop up for me. And I assume that's what's going to download the game.
