Background:
Born to a middle-class family on Kuat, Kami and her twin sister Paige were raised by parents who had a strong belief in the order and stability of the Imperial system. Axis and Maya Sharpe, both high-ranking members of the Kuati security force, were also involved in the Empire's Kuat based military and propaganda campaigns. Their influence ensured that Kami and her sister became involved in the complex Kuati political system in their early teens.
With the emergence of the radical ideas and beliefs of the Rebellion in Kuati politic's years later, conflict between the two twins over Imperial policies began to tear their relationship apart. During the heated dispute over the planet's pivotal Drive Yards, Paige fled Kuat, taking with her confidential material from the Kuati Security Force to give to the growing Rebel movement. Devastated by the sudden betrayal and the damage it had done to their reputation, Kami and her parents left Kuat a few days later, fearing persecution at the hands of once loyal friends.
Adrift during the year that followed, Kami's family found a brief period of peace on the backwater planet of Sulon in the Sullust system. In an attempt to avoid the New Republics extending sway, they maintained a low profile, working the land and facing the harsh conditions associated with the lifestyle of a farmer. Just eleven months after their settlement on Sulon, Kami's father was struck down and killed by Grave Tuskans while attempting to protect his newly acquired land. Unable to run the farm with only her grief-stricken mother as an aid, Kami drifted aimlessly until she crossed the path of a young Sergeant from the Vast Empire who saved her life. Befriending the man she came to know as Angel, she followed him towards the fringes of the galaxy in an attempt to find purpose in her life.
After reaching the Vast Empire controlled system of Rheagent, Kami and her mother settled on the world of Lotaith. While her mother attempted to rebuild what was left of her shattered life, Kami applied for and was accepted into the Vast Empire Stormtrooper Corps, intending to aid in the destruction of the Rebellion in a futile attempt to bring her wayward sister home.
Other:
Kami speaks with a notable, somewhat disdainful Kuati accent, although her culture's tendency towards arrogance has faded throughout her service to the Vast Empire. She also bears a decorative tattoo about her left eye, a marking that shadows a New Republic bred scar beneath.
