Lucky hastily packed her bag and rushed out of her hotel room. She saw Nick and Alan behind her and the three of them walked into the lobby where the rest of the squad was waiting, all packed and ready to go.

When she had last spoken to Kami, it was determined that the squad would rush to Cepany after all. They had stopped the production of the detonators, the makeshift factory was no more, but the matter of the nuclear weapons was still to be dealt with. The plan was pretty straightforward: go planetside, find a way to dispose of the weapons safely without harming any civilians and get back home with everyone safe and sound.

They headed outside, it was cold and foggy, depressing weather conditions but they wouldn't have to stay and endure it. Wasting no time, they all headed to the shuttle and put their bags in one of the cargo bays. Their bags were coincidentally, in a different cargo bay than their armor and the rest of their military gear, but that didn't matter.

She headed back to the passenger area and curled up in a comfortable position, feeling Alan slip in beside her moments afterward. Closing her eyes, she listened to the chattering of a few members of her squad before dozing off.

A few hours later, she awoke and realized that everyone had dozed off. She was now the only one awake, but that wouldn't be for long. Being careful as to not wake up Alan, she got out of her seat and walked to the cargo bay where all their armor was stored. She patiently waited for the doors to hiss open and walked in.

Realizing that her badge was in the nag with her civil clothes in it, she made her way to the back of the bay, to the sliding doors leading to the next and went to her bags. Going to hers, she grabbed her badge and walked back to the first cargo bay to put on her armor.

She opened the crate with her name on it, checked to make sure the doors remained closed before slipping on her undersuit and putting on the armor piece by piece. The task finished, she walked out of the cargo bay and saw that Nick, Drakar and Alan were all awake.

"Have a nice nap?" she queried, taking off her helmet.

"Yep" replied the trio in unison. Zeshaun simply nodded, he was staring out of a viewport. The threesome walked off to change out of their civi clothes and Lucky took the opportunity to with Zesh about everything and nothing.

"Attention Troopers, we'll be shortly arriving to our destination. we're about an hour away from going planetside, that is all."After the pilot had finished speaking, she walked over and nudged Lennik awake with her boot. he stirred and gave a little shout of surprise as he saw a tall, black shiny-looking someone. It made her laugh hard, she heard three male voices join in the laughter. Turning around she saw Nick, Drakar and Alan all standing behind her clad in their armor, their helmets under one arm.

Zeshaun looked over from his post by the viewport and smiled. She saw he and Lennik walk off to go change in their armor. When he passed by her, she heard Lennik mumble something about a heart attack.

Sitting back down, she was joined by the rest of her armor-clad squad and they patiently waited to land planetside.

Shortly afterward, they were all crammed into a small room, weapons at their sides and slung on their backs, being briefed by a commanding Officer of a regular army.

"We've been monitoring all criminal activities here, our technology is too primitive to conduct a raid and disarm them of the weapons they're making."

"This is what we're here for, what can you tell us that would help us apprehend the right people."

"The weapon makers disguise themselves as farmers during the day and operate at night. Hell, they probably are farmers but they  needed a second job to support teh farm and the family, who knows. Anyhow, we've acquired lodgings for you near the location of the general operations so you can monitor their activities yourselves and plan accordingly."

"Once we capture the guys, we don't have a carrier or anything to lock them up in. IF there are any that survive assuming that they have set up heavy defenses around their base."

"We have the proper vehicles and incarceration facilities to house them. All we ask is that you guys take care of disposing of the weapons first."

"Of course."

"Good, everything's settled then. If you will follow me, we have a hovervan waiting for you outside."

I don't like this guy, he thinks of himself as the all-important, that behavior could catch up to him one of these days.

Following the commander outside, they hopped on the hovervan and watched as the city whizzed by; houses, business buildings, busy streets and all.

After what seemed like an eternity, the van slowed and finally stopped in front of two log cabins. "Welcome to the country folks, sorry we couldn't get you anything more than these. We'll be staying in a house nearby if you need anything, stay in touch."

With that, the driver let them off with their luggage and zoomed off, laughing at what one of his companions was saying.

"Let's go in and settle in, shall we? This is bound to get interesting." No one argued and they walked inside one of the cabins for their temporary stay.

here it is guys, feel free to have a little fun on the shuttle and such. I just got us this far because I've been working on my post length lately and I thought you guys would like to be landed and all. Don't forget that the minimum words for each post is 250.

Zeshaun stepped into a dimly lit lodge with rows of beds. He saw Drakar sitting at the entrance and resting. how can he sleep after sleeping the whole way here... Zeshaun thought

Nick went and put his stuff down on a bed farthest from the cabin. Zeshaun took a bed closest to the door. Zeshaun lay his stuff on the bed and made sure he had everything. He had his tribal vibroblade, his blaster rifle, his DT-57 pistol from his mercenary days, and little did lucky know, he had also had his AT-ST transported here.

Zeshaun saw Nick walk over to Lucky and talk for a few seconds then walk out the door.

"Zeshaun, can I ask you a favor?" Lucky walked over and asked.

"Sure." Zeshaun said

Can you keep an eye on Nick I don't want him to get into any trouble." Lucky said, "He went out to patrol the area."

Zeshaun nodded, holstered his blaster, and left the cabin. He stepped out into the sunlight and took off his helmet. He took a huge breath of fresh air.

Zeshaun saw a few farmers nearby talking and doing things that farmers do and Zeshaun quickly put his helmet back on. He walked around the cabin and saw Nick pacing around the perimeter.

Zeshaun walked up to Nick and put a hand on his should.

Nick jumped and quickly spun around pulling out his blaster.

"Whoa, calm down Nick, save it for the enemy." Zeshaun said taking a step back.

"Oh, sorry, I'm just kind of nervous." Nick said, reholstering his blaster.

Zeshaun let out a sigh, he was reminded that this was only his second mission with the squad and remembered how he felt in the cave, and the factory.

"You'll get over it, just protect your mates, and shoot straight." Zeshaun said nostalgically.

Nick nodded.

"How about we go back inside and get some rest before we go out tonight to shoot some farmers." Zeshaun said.

Nick smiled and headed back toward the cabin. They both walked in, most everyone was already accomadated by then and people were just hanging around.

Lucky gave Zeshaun a quick nod and Zeshaun went over to his bed. He put his blaster under his pillow and tried to catch a few before they had to go out later tonight.

Alan walked into the log cabin and glanced around at the line of beds.  Great he thought to himself, he had hoped that there was going to be at least one double bed, after their last mission both Lucky and Alan had had to be in separate rooms and now this.  Oh well he thought guess we’ll just have to wait till we get back to Tadath before we can be properly together again.  He glanced over at Lucky and she seemed to be thinking the same thing, she gave him a quick shrug and he smiled back.

Alan flung his bag onto one of the beds and removed his trusty DL-44 heavy blaster pistol.  He slipped it underneath one of the pillows so that if he were to get any sleep then it would be close by.  He noticed Drakar approach the bed next to him.

“Excuse me Sir?” asked Drakar, “is this bed taken?”

Alan glanced around at the beds and replied back “I was keeping it for Lucky”.  If we can’t be in the same bed, at least we can sleep next to each other thought Alan.

“Understood Sir” replied Drakar.

Alan wasn’t sure whether Drakar knew that Lucky and Alan were married but he hoped that he understood.

Alan noticed that Nick went outside and was quickly followed by Zeshaun.

“Hey” said Lucky.

Alan glanced up and smiled at her, “Hey you, I noticed Nick and Zeshaun heading outside, everything ok?”

“Yeah” replied Lucky, “Nick wanted to go out on patrol so I asked Zeshaun to keep him company”.

“Good plan” replied Alan, “I’m sure this new kid will work out just fine”.

“Agreed” said Lucky.  She pointed to the bed next to Alan’s and asked “this bed for me?”

“You betcha” replied Alan smiling.

Alan lay down on his bed whilst Lucky decided to curl up in a chair next to her bed.  Soon Nick and Zeshaun arrived back from their patrol and Nick came over to talk to Lucky.  Alan yawned and was soon asleep.  He never knew whether Lucky or the rest of the squad took any form of sleep.

“Hey sleepyhead” said Lucky as she shook Alan.

Alan opened his eyes slowly and looked up at her “what’s up?”

“Time to head out” replied Lucky as she donned her helmet.

Alan quickly slid out of bed, grabbing his blaster and holstering it on his hip.  Donning his helmet he thought to himself it’s show time.

Alan watched as Zeshaun and Nick took swift care of the two Rodians.  If this is all the security these guys have then this will go down smoothly thought Alan.  He waved his team forward as they progressed swiftly yet silently through the tall grass. 

They soon came to a clearing and spotted a small farmhouse.  Alan wondered whether this was a genuine farmhouse or just a front for the weapons.  He didn’t have to ponder on it for too long as he noticed three thugs patrolling the perimeter.  I wonder why security is so light he pondered as he watched to see if any other thugs were around.

Getting on the com, Alan said “Lucky, we’ve arrived at a farm house.  It looks like the weapons might be in there as there are several thugs patrolling the area”.

“Roger that” replied Lucky, “we’re also at the farmhouse.  You take care of the sentries and we’ll slip inside.  We’ll see you in there once you’ve gotten rid of the sentries”.

“Understood” replied Alan, “good luck”.

Waving to Zeshaun and Nick, they started to advance slowly on the sentries that were patrolling round the farmhouse.

“Let’s take this nice and quiet, same as before” whispered Alan.

Zeshaun and Nick nodded and moved stealthily behind the thugs.  Alan decided to stay back to cover them in case any other thugs were to appear or in case things went sour.  It bothered him slightly that they hadn’t encountered any heavy resistance.

As Zeshaun and Nick approached the thugs, one of them stepped on a twig, alerting the thugs to their presence.  Oh hell thought Alan as he realised that their surprise of attack was lost.  Grabbing his blaster he quickly downed one of the thugs with a neat shot through the man’s forehead.

It didn’t take long before Zeshaun and Nick joined in the fight.  Alan hoped that Lucky and her team were faring better and that the commotion outside hadn’t alerted anyone inside.

Zeshaun let out a groan "Why do all our missions require us to go into some dark hole, can't we fight these guys in a pretty field of flowers?"

Alan shuddered at the prospect of fighting enemy soldiers in a field of flowers, but he gave Zeshaun a smile and replied “just live with it.".

Alan wondered where Lucky’s team had gotten to.  Maybe they had slipped into the hole during the commotion.  He got on the com and said “Lucky, do you read me?”  His answer was met with static. 

Damn he cursed under his breath.  Either they are in trouble or there is a jamming field in place.  He looked down into the hole and then wondered how far down it went and whether the sheer depth had any reason for the com not getting through.

Well only one way to find out he thought as he jumped into the hole.  Upon entering the hole he found a ladder and he started to descend.  Glancing up he noticed that Nick was above him, followed by Zeshaun.  Alan knew that Zeshaun wasn’t happy with going down the hole so he was happy to see the trooper on the ladder.

It seemed like Alan had been walking down the ladder for hours before he reached the bottom.  His arms ached slightly from the lengthy trip down but he was thankful to finally be at the bottom.  He looked around at the dark environment.  It looked like a deep cavern with several lanterns placed along the wall.

He waited for Nick and Zeshaun to arrive as he looked around at his immediate surroundings.  Finally Nick and Zeshaun had arrived at the bottom.

“Oh great” commented Zeshaun, “just what we need, another cave”.

Alan smiled under his helmet and replied “you wouldn’t be happy without a cave to explore”.

“At least we’re finally at the bottom, I was beginning to think there wasn’t an end to that ladder” stated Nick.

“Amen to that” said Zeshaun, “any sign of Lucky’s team?”

“No” replied Alan, “and that concerns me”.  It did indeed trouble Alan as he didn’t know what had happened to them and whether they were in trouble or not.

Waving his hand forward Alan said “let’s move out but be alert for any kind of trouble”.

"What do we do now? Do you think we can take them with just us three?" Nick said.

Alan looked at the large building.  He didn’t know how many enemies would be inside and whether or not they would find Lucky’s team in there or not.  What he did know was that Lucky’s team was missing and this was the most viable location for them.

“There aren’t going to be any reinforcements” commented Alan.  He knew that a call for reinforcements would take time, too much time and that could jeopardise Lucky and her teams chances for survival if indeed they were in there.

“So what’s the plan?” queried Zeshaun.

Alan glanced at the main entrance to the building.  He was surprised that there were no sentries posted.  He also knew that a direct assault on the main door would be suicide for them.

“Let’s do some scouting around the building” said Alan.

Nick and Zeshaun nodded as they all moved out slowly, keeping to the shadows as they skirted around the building looking for another entrance.

The team skirted around the building arriving back at the main entrance.  They had noticed a back door and several windows but the windows had all been locked.  So now they were faced with either a direct assault on either the main door or the back door, both would probably be guarded well.

Suddenly a thought came across Alan.  He didn’t know whether it would work but they had to do something.

“Nick, you got any grenades?” queried Alan.

“Yeah, several” replied Nick.

“What are you thinking?” queried Zeshaun.

“We’re going to assault the back door” replied Alan.  “Nick, set up three grenades with a timer at the front door”/

“The front door?” queried Nick.  “I thought we were attacking the back door”.

Zeshaun smiled, understanding what was going on.  “You think it will work Sir?”

“It has to” commented Alan.

“What will work?” asked Nick feeling left out.

“When the grenades go off, it will hopefully attract the guards to the front door.  Whilst they are distracted we will in through the back door and hopefully will meet a more minimal force” said Alan.

“Nice plan” said Nick as he set out setting up the grenades.

Once the grenades had been set, the trio rushed round to the back of the building.  There they waited until a large explosion went off.

This had better work thought Alan as he gave the order to advance.

Nick looked up to Alan and Zeshaun. They bolted out the door and into a lighted hallway. It would be a matter of time until the facility would start looking for their friends. Nick checked his ammo and reloaded as he kept up with Zeshaun and Alan.

Alan turned towards the lights, then towards the walls. It would be nearly impossible to take out the lights without attracting attention.
'' Its too bright in these halls to provide us an advantage.'' Alan explained to Nick and Zeshaun. ''Hide along the rooms and attack anyone we see passing down the halls.'' They gave him a nod. The trio proceeded to one of the doors to their right side.


Nick and Zeshaun lined themselves along the wall near the door, while Alan proceeded to open it with caution. The door swung open and the trio stormed into the room only to see that it was empty. It was a large room, with beds and desks lined across the sides.
''This must be the medical facility.'' Nick said as he looked around the room. In the farthest bed, was a body. The sheet was covered in blood. 


''This is what happens when murderors try to be doctors.'' Zeshaun commented in humor. Alan then looked at the desks ''Search them, there might be information that can prove useful.''

The trio looked into all the desks. They found a report on the patient along with a datapad. Nick took a look at the report and read it out loud;

''Alren Jaxx. Died.. This evening. One of the facilities more 'experienced scientists.' Died during a Thermo Ray failure ? Im pretty sure Thermo Rays don't exist.''


Zeshaun thought about it for awhile, ''Not unless they are trying to create one. Looks like we have alot of work to do.

The scientist was still frightened, probably because Nick had his rifle aimed at his back. Just incase he didn’t try anything. He lead the trio of Stormtroopers down long, large  and seemingly endless hallways. They were empty, except for the last few. A small patrol of guards was coming down the hallway. The best option was to hide, but Zeshaun had an idea. He looked and saw a door nearby. Zeshaun opened the door, allowing everyone inside. When the patrol had finally passed, they went back out into the hall and ambushed them from behind. Nick approached the dead remains on the floor. He looked at their weapons. Nick took one pistol and showed it to Alan.


‘’Sir, isn’t this the same kind of blaster stormtroopers usually have ?’’


Alan looked at the Blaster and examined it. He noticed that Nick was correct.


‘’Your right. In that case, the others must be down here as well. We must look for them after we find the weapons area.’’ Zeshaun and Nick nodded.


The scientist continued to lead them down the halls. Nick frequently examined the blaster, noticing it seemed as if someone had tried to break it open, literally.


The scientist stopped after a while,
‘’We are almost there. I can hear machines.’’ Nick wasn’t paying attention to what he was saying. He felt warmer than usual. He couldn’t tell if the Alan and Zeshaun were unusually warm because they were armored.
Nick was positive the scientist felt something, because he was sweating like crazy.
The scientist continued going. He seemed weak and tired, as if he hadn’t been fed for days.

They stopped after hearing familiar voices coming from one room. Alan approached the door, only to be warmed by the scientist. ‘’No! don’t go in there! It might be a trap.’’

Nick grabbed onto his shoulder and shook his head. The scientist backed away, covering behind Zeshaun as Alan opened the door. The trio stormed into the room. Inside the room, there were A huge variety of Blaster Rifles and other weapons, along with their owners; Lucky, Drakar and Lennik, who were trapped in force cages.

“I hope the others can get us out of here quickly, before they alert the whole facility that there are intruders”, said Lucky.  Drakar nodded, but thought about how when they were attempting to gain access, they were ambushed by a large group of Rodians, who had set a trap for anyone who tried to enter.

His thought were broken when they heard some noise on the other side of the door.  All of sudden the familiar armor of three stormtroopers came storming through the door. 

"Wow." Zeshaun said.

"Stop staring and get us out of here!" Drakar hissed.

"Okay, Okay, sorry you got caught." Zeshaun said as he went over to a large switchboard.

Drakar wanted to say something back to him, but realized he had more important things to do than fighting with his own squad member.  He gathered all his equipment from the table and quickly prepared himself to fight again.

After a quick battle with some guards the two groups split again in order to cover more ground in the search for the lab.

“Let’s Move out”, said Lucky as the trio took off in the opposite direction of the other group.  As they walked they all kept their fingers on the trigger ready to shoot anything that moved.  When they reached the double doors at the end of the hallway, Lucky said, “Drakar you take point.”  “Crack the door and see as much as you possibly can.” 

He nodded while simultaneously sticking his right hand on the crack and putting only slightest amount of pressure to peek inside.  With his left hand he gave a headcount of the enemies in view, which was four. 

“From what I could see they didn’t look to be armed and if they are they couldn’t be heavily”, said Drakar.  “Alright, here’s the plan,” said Lucky. 

“Lennek, throw a flashbang, while Drakar pushes the door open.  After it goes off I will enter first quickly followed by Drakar and then you, Lennek,” proclaimed Lucky. 

The trio quickly stormed the room and much to their surprise the four men inside were all scientists that had not been alerted because the noise was muffled by the heavy metal double doors.

Drakar and Lennek were able to apprehend three of them when they surrendered when the one closest to the door was killed.

Alan was glad to be back at the cabin.  It had been quite an intensive day and he was looking forward to some rest before they headed out again.  Hearing that he and Lucky would be taking first watch sounded good to him.  It would give them some quiet time together and also it meant that once guard duty was over he could look forward to a nice long rest.

Alan exited the cabin and spotted Lucky talking to the guards that were securing the prisoner’s onboard the vehicle.

“Until we meet again, Lady Nightstalker." said the driver.

Alan looked as the bus sped off wondering what that was all about.  Something troubled him about that statement and he couldn’t place his finger on what it was that was troubling him.  His mind went over the phrase over and over again, Lady Nightstalker, Lady Nightstalker.  Then his eyes went wide, son of a bitch he cursed as he dashed into the cabin.

“Everyone out now!” hr shouted.

Nick looked up at Alan and asked “what’s going on?”

“Just get out, now!” shouted Alan.

The troopers knew when to follow orders and the urgency of the order made them suddenly spring into action.  Grabbing their helmets and weapons they all rushed outside.

“Alan, what the hell is going on?” asked Lucky.  Alan wasn’t sure whether she thought he had gone insane but he needed to ensure the squad’s safety.

“We need to find somewhere else to stay” said Alan, “this place is no longer safe”.

“What are you talking about?  Of course this place is safe, the Commander got it arranged for us” said Zeshaun.

Mere seconds before Alan could reply, he found himself being lifted off the ground as an earth shattering explosion went off.  The cabin burst into a ball of flames as Alan crashed down hard onto the ground.

It took several minutes for the squad to get themselves together.  Thankfully no-one was injured but they all looked around at Alan with questioning looks.

“Alright, I think you need to tell us what the hell is going on” said Lucky.

“The driver that picked up the prisoner’s called you Lady Nightstalker” said Alan.

“So?” queried Nick, “he probably got her mixed up with someone else”.

“No” said Alan, “we used to be called the Nightstalkers squad before it was renamed to Paladin”.

“So” said Zeshaun, “maybe the guy recognised Lucky from being from that squad and didn’t know it had been renamed”.

“That’s a possibility” said Alan, “but only the Commander knows what squad we are and he would not divulge that to anyone for security reasons”.

“What are you saying?” queried Drakar.

“What I’m saying is that this was a trap set up by the Commander, I think he has turned rogue” replied Alan.

“Well if that’s the case, why let us take down the facility and kill so many of the farmers?” queried Zeshaun.

“Think about it, if you want to take over this operation, what better way than to take out the leaders and take the scientists all for yourself” said Alan.

“Damn, we just took out the leadership and gave him the scientists on a silver platter” said Nick.

“Exactly” replied Alan.

“So now what do we do now?” asked Zeshaun.

“Simple, we take down the Commander” replied Lucky as she checked her blaster rifle.

This job got a whole lot harder thought Alan.

The squad went out, heading towards the woods. I hate nature Nick thought as he walked. He preferred it in the cabins, before they exploded.


Well, It could have been worse. Thought Nick. He could have been in it. And if he was, that wouldn't have been a good start to his Imperial career; being blown to bits on his first Paladin mission. Nick was thankful he had survived this far, and planned to continue breathing by the end of this assignment.


The squad stopped after entering a small area in the woods.
''This looks like a nice place to set shop.'' Nick said.
''Dont you mean camp ?'' Drakar looked at Nick, with confusion.

''Yeah, camp in this case.'' Nick corrected.

After they stopped. Lucky ordered everyone out to find the right materials. It was't quite that hard.


Half an hour passed. And a fire burned strong. The squad starting telling jokes and checking up on their ammo as Lucky and Alan went out to patrol.


As time passed, Nick moved towards a tree, and rested there until he was needed. He listened to the squad members dicuss various things.


Nick couldn't believe that the commanding officer would do something such as that. Nick believed that Unity was a strong offense, and the Commander made a pretty bad offense.


Nick was pretty impressed on how he was progressing in this mission. He was nervous at first, but everything turned out to be plain and simple. Well, not exactly. What mattered was he knew what to expect from this missions, and he thought he was gonna fare pretty well with each of them.

Alan hated forests and especially camping.  You never knew what kind of bugs or creepy crawlies were crawling around you or over you whilst you slept.  He shivered as he shook such a hideous thought out of his system.

Still, it had its good points.  After the fire was started both Lucky and Alan went out on patrol.  Whilst they were on patrol and they’re senses were on high alert after the attempt on their lives, it was nice to spend some time just together. 

After they returned from the patrol Alan found a large tree and lay down against it.  He didn’t want to go to sleep there but he knew that if he was going to get any sleep at all then here was as good a place as any.

He woke with a start as there seemed to be some commotion going on.  He bolted upright to find out what was going on.  He noticed that Zeshaun and Nick were talking to Lucky and pointing towards where their cabin used to be.

“What’s up?” asked Alan as he moved over to find out more.

“Zeshaun and Nick have just come back from patrol” said Lucky, “they’ve spotted a hover transport and several thugs checking out the remains of the cabin”.

So, they’ve come to make certain we are dead pondered Alan.

“What’s the plan?” he asked.

Lucky looked round at her squad and thought of the next course of action that would be in the best interests of the squad.

“We should stay hidden” chirped in Zeshaun.

“I say we take down these bastards” replied Nick.

“What happens if even just one of them escape, the Commander will send every thug on the planet after us” said Alan.

“Enough!” shouted Lucky, “this is what we’re going to do.  Alan, you still carrying a sniper rifle with you?”

“You bet” replied Alan.

“Right, we’re going to take these guys out.  Alan, climb up one of those trees and get o good vantage point, I’m going to need you to watch our backs.  We’re going to take them out and use the hover vehicle to get close to the Commander to take him out” said Lucky.

The squad nodded and geared up.  Alan gazed upwards at one of the tallest trees and thought to himself oh hell.

From his position in the tree, Alan was able to pick off several of the thugs.  Anyone that looked like they could make a jump on any of the squad was quickly brought down.  It did not take long for the squad to finish off eliminating the rest of the thugs,

Alan watched as once all the thugs were dead, Zeshaun took over in the driver’s seat.  Alan glanced down the tree and thought to himself how the hell do I get down again.  It took him a while but he finally managed to get down the tree somehow.

Once at the bottom he could hear voices from his squad mates.  He hoped that they would remember he had been in the tree and wouldn’t leave without him.

Zeshaun picked up the walkie talkie. "Welcome aboard the Zeshaun pick-up service, where would you all like to go this fine day?" Zeshaun said.

Alan could hear the rest of the squad burst out into laughter and he himself smiled under his helmet and thought to himself had to be Zeshaun.

"Stop goofing around and let’s get us to the commander." Lucky said.

“Hey, wait for me” called out Alan as he started running towards the hovercraft.

“What kept you?” queried Drakar as he watched Alan running towards them.

“I thought I’d do some sight seeing along the way, with such a lovely forest, how could you not” commented Alan as he clambered in.

“We all good to go?” asked Zeshaun, eager to get underway.

“Yes, let’s go already” replied Lucky.

Alan looked on as Zeshaun took the controls of the vehicle and the hovercraft lurched forwards, his body bouncing forwards and then backwards.

“Are you sure you know how to drive this thing?” asked Alan, thankful he didn’t have a full stomach.

''Heh, how would you know what a command center looks like ?'' Drakar asked. 

The squad continued on with what each of them were doing until they arrived at the building in the distance.  Just as they were almost there all of a sudden the craft lost control and right before they crashed he yelled, “ Brace yourself!”

The next thing he remembered was waking up and everything was dark and there was no motion from anyone inside the hovercraft.  Once he finally pried himself free from the metal pinning him to the ground he kicked the door open and it hit the ground with a loud clash.

He jumped out holding his rifle in hand looking to see if there was anybody coming to investigate the crash site.  Drakar turned around just in time to see Lucky, Alan, and Lennik hop out and stretch. 

“Where’s Nick? And zeshaun?” asked Drakar.

“Here I am,” said Zeshaun.  Who was quickly followed out of the vehicle by Nick.  Once the squad was regrouped Nick asked, “So……what do we do now?”

Drakar was in his own little world looking around the hallway trying to figure out what the building could have been used for a long time before.  Maybe it was an old base used back in the war or maybe it was from an extinct race or colony.

His thoughts were broken when Lucky’s voice broke the silence saying, “We have to try and get another transport.  The base is still a long ways away, so I say we search this place and see what you find.”

Zeshaun was taking out people with extreme accuracy after the crash, he had to redeem himself for that. They took out the men that came to deal with the crashed vehicle very quickly.


"Looks like our arrival was anticipated, boys. You guys keep the turret busy while I try to sneak up behind it and disable it." Lucky said as she started making her way around.

"You heard her, let's get us noticed" Alan said as he went aroudn the corner spraying the turret with bolts.

Zeshaun also took a step out from behind the corner and took a couple shots, one of them came extremely cloes tot he man gunning the turret but had no effect.

Zeshaun checked his rifle and ammo as he pulled back and saw that this was his last clip and he was running low. Zeshaun saved the rifle for later and whipped out his pistol. He took a couple more shots.

Suddenly the turret stopped shooting. Zeshaun and the squad peaked their heads out and saw Lucky standing in the turret. She waved for the rest of the squad to come.

They kept advancing down the hallways and took out any opposition that came their way. They came to a door that was guarded heavily by five rough looking men with fairly large weapons.

"Well it looks like this isn't going to be easy, and it seems the door is locked as well so our problems won't be over after we take out the guards." Lucky said.

Zeshaun gulped, thinking of the battle that would ensue.
