Story 0: The Storm Skimmer Race

Baraka and Dhagon had spent the better part of the year preparing for the annual Corellia Militia Academy's Storm Skimmer Race; now that day was here they were giddy with anticipation as they made the final preparations to their vehicle.

"We've got the fastest 'Skimmer in the Academy!" Baraka boasted proudly.

"Just remember not to fry the motivator on high-speed turns.  I don't want to get killed navigating the canyon." Dhagon chided him.

"Don't worry so much!  I can handle the turns fine; it's the other racers I'm worried about."

"Don't let Benok get to you" said a familiar, soothing voice.

"I won't, Luxa.  Besides," he says smiling at their Zeltron friend, "he's not worth it."

The trio laughs lightheartedly as Baraka secures the last panel in place...

***Half an Hour later, in the final leg of the race***

After jockying for position since the Race's start, Baraka & Dhagon had taken the lead just before entering the canyon; Benok's Skimmer was close on their tail!

"Watch those those turns, Tank!"  Dhagon shouted over the helmet comlinks as the motivator status light was flickering red on the sharp turns.

"Don't worry!  I can hold it!" he retorted.  As they started another sharp turn Baraka slowed down a little to maintain control, when Benok ramed the rear of their skimmer!

As Baraka struggled to regain control he & Dhagon glimpsed Benok's skimmer speed on by!  "UNGH!" Baraka growled as he forced the skimmer away from a rocky outcropping.  That would've killed us he realizes.

Hungry for revenge, Baraka increases the power to the repulsorlift engine, accelerating over the outcropping and along the canyon wall!

"Are you nuts!?" Dhagon shouts on the com; Baraka ignores him, gaining on Benok...

As the two skimmers are nearly neck-and-neck, Benok swerves left, forcing Baraka's skimmer against the rocks creating a shower of sparks!

Baraka makes a hard right, returing the favor!  As Benok recovers Niqtos, Benok's partner, draws a hold-out blaster!  As Niqtos takes aim Baraka makes another hard right to hit Benok's Skimmer!

While his opponents are off-balance Baraka reaches for the blaster!  The sides of the vehicles grind together as Dhagon tries to gain control of the craft, Baraka trying to get a firm grip on the blaster!

As Baraka's hand slides off the blaster he leans right rotating his harm to catch the Klatooinian in an armlock!  Dhagon & Benok are unable to pull away!  As Baraka & Niqtos struggle a stray shot glances off the tail of Baraka's skimmer!

Enough of this, thinks Baraka as he wrenches his torso forward, knocking Niqtos' head into Benok's!  Releasing the Klatooinian, the unconscious duo's skimmer veers off the route, following the river as it decelerates...

Battered but still in the lead, Baraka takes back the controls in time to finish the race in 1st Place!

****Later****

"I can't believe they weren't expelled!" Baraka fumed.

"Hey, just be glad we're alive!  I know I am!  Besides, next time those fools try anything they'll get theirs!  Trust me..."

Right, this story doesn't really count, though I'm sure it was only your introduction to the whole specialty.

Thats the story I want to mark, but I like this little introduction as well. Please remember in the future however that I expect 1k words in specialty stories, and I'll editing the wiki spec to sort your specialty into levels.
