As Chapter 7 progresses, we have seen new troopers enter the ranks and others rise in positions of authority.  We have also seen other troopers lost to the enemy in the posts of this campaign.  So, for those who wonder why and when it will end - this is a quick crib sheet. The campaign started paralleling real life.  As we lost Fleet Admiral Atrus and High Colonel Ghent Sexton to an assasinaton plot, we as a community lost our fellow member Tyler Ryan Nunnally in an automobile accident.  Trying to bring the VE as a whole into an effort that would help us grieve while giving us something to put our energies into, the High Command devised an operation in which we would strike back at the enemy who had, in one stroke, taken out the heart of our army and navy leadership. This campaign took the navy against various collections of enemy fleets.  The Corps was shipped to the far flung planet of Anobis to take out enemy training camps. With the beginning of the second phase of Chapter 7, operations on Anobis were wrapping up, with Wraith squad and the Fallen Angels headed to the prison planet of Nam Chorios, planning an information and prisoner grab on the nearby planet of Zellus in the Meridian Sector.  Meanwhile, the rest of the squads took the Dominion to the planet of Sernpidal to take out some enemy manufacturing plants as well as a raid on a Jedi academy there.  At this time, with our forces far from home, an enemy force assaulted our home systems.  Consult the Controlled Systems page on the domain for more info, but primarily what was assaulted was the home planet and seat of government, Tadath, the army HQ at Tadath, and naval HQ at Abrae.  Other planets were either ignored, or given brief but effective blockades. Captain Cosmic took the fight to the enemy at Tadath with a team of retired veteran troops, who help off the enemy invasion for quite some time.  Most of the Army and Navy commanders were on Lotaith and had to scramble to their stations or to fight for the planet.  The Wraiths and the remainders of Storm Platoon (the Fallen Angels now mercenaries with a contract of their own to follow) arrived on Tadath in time to extricate Captain Cosmic and his team.  Eventually they joined up at the Dark Jedi planet of Lopen with the Dominion teams freshly arrived from Sernpidal. On Lotaith, the fighting had been vicious and destructive.  Without a large contingent of armed forces on the planet, most of the defense was left to local police, militia, and volunteers.  Partisan bands roamed around the planet, occasionally making big strikes against an army which had more men, more arms, more supplies than the loyal VE forces.  Without any air defense or a counter to the enemy heavy weapons, much of the planet had been laid to waste. The arrival of the allied FES naval and ground forces gave the VE a chance of success.  With heavy weapons on the ground and an end to the blockade in orbit, the enemy was slowly pushed back. Now the rest of the Corps has arrived.  One squad, Iron Horse, was absorbed by other squads to accommodate for previous losses.  The main battle is now around the capital city of Lotaith.  To the south-southwest are VE militia and FES units.  Inside the city are the High Command, Captain Cosmic and local elements with the FES Task Force Rampage. To the northeast, the Dread Knights and Wraith squad and picking apart the enemy's flanks, with the Dark Dragoons and Raiders preparing to break through towards the enemy center in their region.  In between and around much of this is a large but determined enemy.  While still outnumbering the VE/FES, they are running out of supplies, equipment, and time.  We should expect a mass offensive by them soon. Hope this helps you out.  Please check with your squad leaders on any individual actions they may want you to take.

A couple of other things for you new members to deal with on the fly. Some terms you may hear come up and wonder what they are: WildCard Platoon - currently composed of Dark Dragoons, Raiders, and Wraith squads Storm Platoon - composed of the Dread Knights squad Dominion - our Army Victory Star Destroyer - usually carries WildCard Platoon and a regiment of regular army troops Scythe - the Army Marauder Corvette - usually used for special ops missions Navy - apparently a bunch of alcoholics who never provide air support and whom, on occassion, will brag about being active.  This usually means that they accidentally moved a flight yoke and actively rammed into the side of a hangar bay Hope this helps.

Great job Fury on the summary I dont know if you mentioned this yet in your post which I know you have a base out of it.. lol The Galcura is an FES VSD that is wrecked and now used as a base. Fury is in command since I was left from most of the Rampage unit. I have now gained part of the resupply vehicles and am making an assualt from the west, General Mole has sent a mass group of the Task Force Recon to be placed under Fury's control as he leads his special forces unit into the city. lol. Wish some out our black sword navy boys would help us out. :P
