Okay, so we has a plan now. Jager and Abs are going on a scouting mission to size up the enemy forces. Then they may or may return that night. Next day, we're going to neutralize the recon and armor the mercs have. Make it a slightly interesting battle, and drag it out for a bit; throw in some infantry support. Finally, instead of just storming the base, we're going to call in an ISD to get a bomber squadron in for an airstrike. After that, we'll charge in, take the lower levels by storm, and get the big wigs of mercs. That'll be the story. I'd say yes, but thermal imaging will pick them up, even if small, and the gear is gonna make sure the mercs stay snow blind. Right. I'm in an overwatch position near the base. We now have a rough count of 200-250, they still have a tank or two, the base is rather well defended, etc etc. Balls to returning and such.
Just remember, they don't have many tanks. If you're going to blow one up in your post, give it a good reason why its out there. I don't think they'd just send tanks out willy-nilly to look for something that might not be there. They'd be the backup that's called in. |

I probably won't post today, as a heads up. I've got class from 2:30 to 5:30, then I have to catch a bus that's going to take my class to a play at 6:00... it takes about 15 minutes to travel to the bus meeting place, so that leaves me 15 after class to post (not going to happen). The play isn't done until 10:30, so I won't be back until 11:15. I'm then proceeding to bed, because I have an 8:30 class... oh goody.
So if I don't feel like studying for psyc, then I'll post.

Yeah, BJ's colours are black and purple. Havock got mad at me when I said our colours were red and black (which I thought they were), as they are RAIDERS' colours. From what I always traditionally considered "squad colors:"
RAIDERS = black and gray
Wraith = neon green and black
Iron Horse = gray and red
Jester = yellow and orange
Paladin = neon blue and white
Eclipse = black and white
Blackjack = purple and black? (Those were NS colors, must have held over?)
ARC = black and red
