Now as you may know the Holiday Squad Competition has begun and therefore we have the outline for you. The story is up...and there will be NO WORD MINIMUM. The only rule is gonna be you need an official signature or your post won't count. Now, it's important to remember that this is a HOLIDAY COMPETITION! So by all means if you celebrate Christmas, Kwanzah (sorry if I misspelled) Channukkah, or whatever, try and get into the spirit. Even if this means uploading a picture of you in a santa suit as your avatar by all means go for it. So...official outline...

Duration This gets asked a lot so let's get this over with! The HSC Starts Today, November 25, 2007 and will end January, 6th 2008. The story however will continue until it is finished and no prizes will be awarded until after that.

Squad Tags This was apparently more popular than I realized last year. You all did a good job with them and I'd like to see that continue. In fact I challenge you to do better than you've done. I want you to trick out your tags to look like its holiday time! The top three Holiday tags will be recieving special christmas presents from me this year. (In other words a really cool prize when the competition is over.)

Graphics 15% An ever-popular category. Basically any medium is game. As long as its star wars and christmas you can use it. IT MUST BE YOUR OWN WORK THOUGH! I will be making a seperate thread for you to post them in. Like last year, there will be seperate awards for Graphics, but they will also count towards official activity.

Posting 40% Okay, this is usually the core part of the competition. It's also usually the most controversal. Let's make this clear. NO POST COUNT! As long as it moves the story along, that's all I want. Some people just like to be overly-descriptive and write while others would rather just post. I am not here to discourage anyone from posting. However...if all you have for a post is random stuff that does nothing for the story it won't be counted. Just make sure you have an official signature....if you have any questions....see me!

Gaming 30% Aside from writing this is the most controversal category! Usually we hear A LOT of whining from players who don't want to have MP Gaming count so much if people with no games can't participate. Well, GOOD NEWS! I have some non-platform games for ya. No...this isn't pool! However, there is a popular version of pictionary with some Star Wars categories....feel free to use that with my blessing. iSketch There's also a version of Sabaac available for those who'd rather play solo! Sabaac . Now for those that DO have platform games, I'll ask that you use official storyboard challenges and post victory screenshots in a seperate thread.

Miscellaneous 15% Miscellaneous stuff often goes unnoticed. Wether it be page editing, the squad tags, whatever...anything that is activity that doesn't have an official category will go here. For most of you, this can be an easy 15 points, but those squads that have troopers bitching and raising riots will lose points. So yes, good teamwork also gets you points.

Basically, here's the breakdown....

Posting - 40 points
Gaming - 35 points
Graphics - 15 points
Miscellaneous - 15 points

The squad with the most points at the end will win a special reward. (again...not telling) Good luck to all! Any questions? See me!

I'm sorry to hear that you are withdrawing from the HSC Riqimo.  It is a shame that people have put so much stress into it.

I'm sorry to see you both go. Well , if things turn around and go back to real, true fun , I hope you guys come back and join us until the en d of the HSC.

There are several things you can do to aleave your boredom. We'll start with posting with some friends or whomever is involved. If they are not on then I suggest other VE related activities. Update the squad's site, write spec stories, do your wiki, or participate in personals.

Something else you should remember is that this is our major down season. People are studying for finals and catching up on those last minute grades. A lot of people, like myself, will be gone for weeks at a time without internet access. Chill out, do some RL stuff with RL friends, and just be around when you can or are needed.
