anyways, back to my studies...if I haven't said this yet, I'll do so now. My activity will be lower until Thursday due to a full week of exams well...two days worth at least, nonetheless it requires a goos bit of studying so won't be on as much. |

Ok. I'm wondering something. Would it be possible for us to have a minimum word count or something? Because I'm seeing posts as small as 103 words. Now I know I'm not SL and you don't really have to listen to me, but I'm asking for either a minimum word count to be made and enforced or for us to step it up. Because this is just ridiculous. I respectfully disagree. All too often i'm lucky to make one story post a week. RL comes first, every time. Trying to fight it isn't just futile, it's stupid. While raising the bar may be a good idea, too many 'rules and regulations' can kill a 'recrational' site. Personally I'd hate to see that happen.

TX, we're not talking an increase that will make it such that it'll take you another hour, maybe an extra five minutes, and as far as "regulations" go, this squad has very few compared to some SLs I've had as well as PCs, while I agree that this is for recreation also our standards have to be upped somewhere so if you have any suggestions please voice them |

It could do that. But we also are aware of Tanks's real life issues with being able to get on a computer. It's not going to hurt those that have a problem like that. Far as I know, Tank is the only one in this squad that is unable to get to a computer as easy as the rest of us.

at bare minimum i make my posts 2-3kb, i prefer making thm 5-7kb. I'm not sure on the wordcount but I think1500 words is about 8 or 9 kb. I'll have to check.

Did I say my, the squad's or anyone else's minimum was 1500 words? I am most certain I did not. What I was referencing was The Perfect Storm competition, which had a word count maximum of 2500 words. I was having difficulty with the word count, as i was beyond tired by the time I finished a post. When I asked, Angel was kind enough to inform my (at the time) most recent post was 1250 words even. That post was like 8 or 9kb. That's what I typically aim for in the Competitions. In regular stories I aim for 4-7kb. I do everything in text files before I post so I don't lose anything (computer isues et al...) As a minimum 100 or 150 words I can live with. I'm short on time, weekend an' all, so i'll go save the last page of posts to read later. I hope to post tomorrow. ttyl. |
