A new BBCode system has now been released on the ComNet. Hopefully this should help all members be able to make posts easier. If you would like more information about how to use the BBCode system, click on the BBCode link next to the message you are trying to create. It will open a new window with FAQs about the BBCode system. With this new BBCode system, signatures that are now edited will be required to ONLY use BBCodes rather than HTML. There have been too many members setting up invalid HTML signatures so you are now required to use BBCodes when editing your signatures. Any previous signatures that still have HTML are still able to be used until you try to update it with the new BBCode system. Other changes in this system include: - Edited messages won't contain signatures
- No longer able to edit signatures in messages
- Signatures are archived with the message at the time of the post
- New button next to each post that will bring up a reply window with a quoted message
Currently, the BBCode system is not included with the private message system. I will be adding in the support for that later. Let me know if there are any problems and/or questions. Grand Moff Kadann, Dark Lord

Alright, now in the profile where you change your sig, it says
HTML = Off
BBCode = On.

That means the next time you edit your profile, the html in the signature will be stripped out. So, if you want to keep your current html signature, then don't edit your profile yet. Any new signatures edited from now on will require that only BBCode is used to format your signature. This will ensure that proper html is being used in all the signatures. I have updated the BBCode system to include a few more features. Below is a list of updates to the ComNet: - Added BBCode support to private messages
- Added quoting capabilities to PMs that are replied to or forwarded
- Click on the quote button on the PM after relying or forwarding the message
- Added easier capability to quote multiple messages for a particular topic
- Click on the quote button in the topic review window for the message you want to quote
- Enhanced the topic review to allow for easier access to the latest posts
- BBCodes can now be disabled in posts
- Enhanced the signature view to be more appealing and easier to identify with the posts
- Fixed the smile insertion to insert the smilie code where your cursor was last positioned

I'm stupid. None of this means anything to me. I will keep on recording my progress in regular diction as I always have. Wished I knew what it all means,but I don't. B i strike list list = [*] Email, now that one I might know, Img????? URL and how you got the line under it? I'll never understand. Quote who? Code what? Flash when? You tube and out of context I may know, that's OOC.
But how does these buttons as I call them help me. Do I push them before I write something or afterwords? Not to mention the first line with font colors left middle right and the two choice menus of Verdana and normal. Sorry, I guess I need to go to computer college. If you click on the BBCode help link (which is on the left side above the smilies), it will take you to a help page that should explain most of how it all works. As far as when to use it, that is up to you. You can either hit the code first and then type something in between the code, or highlight the text after writing something to add some BBCode markings to the text. Just think of it as a word processor if you wanted to make something bold, italics, underline, strike, change color, change font, change text size, etc. Grand Moff Kadann, Dark Lord

I've fixed the YouTube BBCode. It wasn't properly embedding the YouTube videos into the ComNet pages. You should now be able to just copy the YouTube link from the address bar and put it between the [youtube][/youtube] BBCode brackets. Let me know if anyone has any problems with it working. Just to point out, YouTube has two links you can copy/paste from: a URL form and an Embedded form, so you can actually copy/paste the Embedded URL that they give you and still get a functional YouTube video playing on your post.
Sample using YouTube's Embeded code:
Granted the 'copying from the Address Bar and pasting it in between the YouTube code tags' is shorter, I was just pointing out that people can still do just a simple copy/paste from YouTube's given code as well. Cleric "Cosmic" Vor'soth
