Alright, for those who attended the meeting you know that I handed out a few medals and promotions.  As was promised, I intend to make an update of some kind whenever a series of events occurs- that way people can track their progress and make research for the wiki easier on themselves. 

Of primary concern from the Academy, we had two recruits, Sol and TheStrangler, come through and pass their aviator's exams with distinction.  Both of them were promoted to the rank of SCRW at that time- which is usually what happens.  However, I believe they would have been more successful had it not been for my unsuspecting absences, and, furthermore- they've been doing great in these first weeks of squadron activity.  Thus, the Star of the Academy has been awarded to them both, because- the first week of Squadron Activity is really an extension of BT.  Expect me to watch you folk very, very carefully in that time period   Congratulations to the both of them.

Just as a kind of introduction to the topic- the VENA has exams set up in such a way that, per certain intervals, you take test and are promoted, slowly making your way to the upper echelons of the Navy.  Interestingly enough- few have taken them and few have reached that favorable position.  However, I believe we have members who can do it and would be doing a favor to themselves to look into or at least ask about these exams and what upper-level would mean for them.  Speaking of officers!

Technically, the folk that I had promoted today were already officers in the respect that they command groups of people, but I figured we'd better make it official.  Thus- Than Sion and Trevor Evenson have been promoted to the rank of Ensign.  Note that Ensign is really kind of an Officer in Training, but I feel these men can overcome that fairly quickly.  Than Sion is the only person to have taken all of the current VENA exams, and Trevor Evenson has enough field experience to justify his radical triple promo: you'd better bet they can take this on!  Congratulations to them both.  The main point of all this is that we have two men that are commanders and now- Officers.  At one time our commanders were mostly officers- it'd be nice to return to that trend, even though we won't always be able to stick to it.  Kind of an oxymoron, I know, but considering the trends of Naval Activity from extreme highs to lows, which I'm either going to live with or find a way to get around, I think we can just smile and applaud.

That's about it for now, though I'll note that Dredj has returned to Kaph after the Navy's sweep of the roster.  Also- I'm looking for new VENA-S help if anyone's interested; lemme know if you need information on that or the exams I mentioned above.  Thanks and continue to enjoy our final naval quarters.  Note that all of the rooms will be painted black and white within the next week to make us feel more imperial. *Salutes and dismisses.*

Actually, I remember someone got quad-promoted at some point. I don't remember if it was Darr/Demonic or Darius...but those are the two who come to mind.
