Some people are just too busy lately to log on and write a post on the ComNet though. Did I mention you see them on IRC?

If we want to make our squads proud we have to be active.

I wrote at least 6 posts this week on my own and with the help of Tanus.

Or perhaps, in regards to the troopers who are on IRC all the time and don't post, institute some sort of rule, where if they don't make a story post for a week and a half, they be banned from IRC until they do so.

Or, and here's an idea I like, we don't force activity. Forcing it just irritates people, encouraging it, offering rewards for it, that actually makes them go the extra mile, forcing them to go the extra mile, well. . .you can't, it won't be extra anymore.

And I'm with Tnepres, Glory, Honor, Pride, Bragging Rights; That's what I'm in it for. Oh, and towels too. Although, come to think of it, I wonder if I have any money left?

Not to be like a downer or anything, but so far there isn't any glory to be had in this competition. Great, you are beating a bunch of basically nonactive squads with just a small amount of activity. It's kinda expected that hopefully with a full squad of 9 people (considering leaves it's more like 7) that you should be able to get at least 14-18 posts out. That's only two per person. That's like marginal activity of what an active squad should look like. So basically, winning this competition just means you are an active squad. Now, if all the squads reached that mark and one squad went above and beyond and had 25-30 story posts, that would be something to brag about and definitely earn respect. This isn't just for Wraiths by the way. It's for any squad that turns out to win this. So far, the activity hasn't been at a level to earn "glory." That's my opinion at least.

I awarded those that did not post as well - a squad is awarded as a team, not individually (hence the term: squad - teamwork). This is not to say that it's fine for people to not participate while their comrades are hard at work - ideally, everyone should be contributing.

We'll have more competitions like this in the future, and I'm planning on doing stuff like this more often, so keep a heads up.
