I thought this year's ESC was a tremendous success and would like to see this be an annual tradition.  Would could be done better to make next year's even more fun?

Umm...possibly the scoring changed a little bit, so everything doesn't way eachother out anymore, and to make sure that all squadrons have enough members and are healthy enough to participate fully in the event.

Other than that, great job on the ESC.

If this is to become an annual tradition, might I suggest making it kind of an award? For example, Kaph Squadron's win this year could be titled "ESC 2006". Then, whoever wins next year, "ESC 2007", and so on.

I've made a page for Elite Squadron Competition 2006 on wiki.  I will fill it in with all of the info and stats from this ESC.  In addition I am going to back an info page on what an ESC is.  I just have a couple of things to do for my work in the next couple of days and then I'll have some time to concentrate on wiki.

it's really hard to set a time in summer when everyone's final dates are different. those who have early finals will probably have early summer vacations, and might be gone by the time some others are just finishing up their finals.

As was mentioned, I've been gone for the last week due to a service trip down in Gulfport, Mississippi- so I wasn't able to see just how feirce the battle became.  As I understand it we had some members show incredible activity and pull off some pretty remarkable feats around here, and for that- I camend and applaud you.  I wish I could have been right there following the action, but I was attending other matters so saying that this is above and beyond what Art or myself thought could have possibly happened will have to do I suppose.  Quite honestly, I have never been so proud to have been a part of this organization than right now- it feels like things are coming together, people are sticking around and we're actually beginning to function.  The ESC was a lot of fun and incredibly draining, but that just shows how much heart you guys have- that's just stunning.  At this point I'd like to give everyone a raise for the month if you participated in the ESC and I'll be reviewing some other people for promotions and medals.

Congratulations to Kaph Squadron for pulling this off through their incredible work and constant determination.  Despite their lack of members and apparent lack of mobility at times before this competition, they banded together and became what I can now proudly call the Vast Empire Navy's Elite Squadron.  To both Nazgul and Aegis who fought valiantly in the face of unseen obsticles- wow.  This was seriously a competition that no one allowed to falter in speed or ability.  I'm still in awe of all of this and I think now would be a good time to really have fun with our squadrons and get some kind of vacation story goin after we've finished up the ESC stories.  I'd have really liked to have had a meeting and awards ceremony as well for all of those who did so incredibly, but as is- I'll be gone from this Sunday to next Friday.  However, seeings how Japheth is around once again- perhaps he could perform some kind of courtesy to all those who have participated?

I am more proud than you can possibly know- you are all elite in my eyes and have given this competition your souls.  For that- thankyou.

I just want to echo what Shazam said with regards to the level of activity and the ferocity of the squadron and individual competition.  Such activity made this a most enjoyable ESC to administer and judge and I have to say I hope it gets even better next year!
