Howdy- I'm the commander of Training and thus- you're trainer.  As of right now you are a part of our academy family, better known as Venom Squadron.  There is a thread on the Main ComNet for communication between Academy members you may use if you so choose.  Anywho, you are currently in Flight School, a latter part of Basic Training- from here we will prepare you for a squadron.  The process takes a little under a week if you stay consistant, but you need to be trying or it could take longer.

Right off we're going to create your character- follow the link below to be taken to Flight School.  From there read Chapter 1: Character Creation and then post your bio on this thread.  I'll critque it then; perhaps look at some other bios around here.  Rock on.

    Physical Description:  Kateer is well built for his age he's the tallest of his entire family something he always was able to make fun of his older brother for.  He's quite strong and muscular from loading cargo onto the family freighters and ripping parts of his ship.  There are burn scars on his arms and a scar down the side of his face from a bad mechanical fire while modifying his ship.


    Kateer Ondool was born to a wealthy merchant family in the upper echelon of Coruscanti society.  He walked in to every social cirlce with ease but he also had a dark secret...  He was a rogue at heart he would go off and find illegal racing throughout coruscant and small pirate space stations. His modified Yt-2000 transport named Raven Wing was modified into a supremely fast and maneuverable freighter.    The time came though when a merchant disagreement drew is family into conflict with the family of a child hood friends family taking to the galaxy Kateer made smuggling runs for his family stealing from his enemies and occasionally his friends.  It was because of this he was drawn into the navy.  A pilot saw his skills but was forced to apprehend him it was either go to the spice mines of Kessel or join the service of the Empire.  He decided to join the navy figuring he would at least enjoy himself in the cockpit of a tie fighter. 

      Kateer is a loner he'll become loyal to anyone who gains his trust and he'll do anything to defend those around them as long as he knows they would do the same

      Emotional Description:  Kateer is a loner because of the fact that he saw his family betrayed by people they believed to be their friends who joined the Rebellion, and aided the Rebels in raiding his familys space station, and the untimely death of his older brother, and the rest of his family while he was away making a delivery run.    This is the reason Kateer is a loner, and the main reason he takes time to trust anyone he doesn't know but once he does he's the most loyal friend anyone can find.

        When Kateer is around people he tends to be quiet and a loner and first but he only does this so he can focus on his surroundings and try to feel out the main directives of everyone around him.  If he senses deceit in someone he'll ignore them until they admit to they're deceit.  If they gain his trust he becomes one of the centers of attention always ready to have a good time.

Interesing character but I'd really like a little more.  A set description at the top of your bio is something that would probably help a little (Name, age, height, weight, eye and hair color as well as skin pigment- all that good stuff).  Then, right below that, you have your physical description and then below that your emotional description.  Think of this as your opportunity to get people to talk about your character down to the smallest detail- so say why he's discgruntled, why he's become a loner.  What creates this attitude?  Just bad parenting or is it a way to escape?  You don't have to reveal it just yet, but we'd like some basic understanding.  Questions, comments or concerns?

Defensive to Offensive:  Barrel Roll into Immelman turn to Split-S.

These tactics could be used in this succesion in certain dog fighting scenarios.

The scenario is me in my Tie Interceptor with an enemy ship on my six. As they begin to set up their shot and close to firing range ill break into a clockwise barrel roll to throw off the pilot in his pursuit to lock on and fire.  At the end of the barrel roll ill pull up intot he Immelman and take my Interceptor vertical to fly over the enemy ship.  I then drop into the split-s and come up behind the enemy fighter and line up my shot and fire.

Thats how I understand those tactics would be used in combat and i hope to use them to be one of the great pilots of the VE.

The barrel rol is used to reduce speed in the event of over shooting your target to help lower overall air speed and re engage
