First of all C.S. Lewis is a man. And secondly, yes Tolkien and Lewis were in a book club with i believe two other authors (i forget the other's names). I know this because it was in the documentary biography of Tolkien in one of the special features in one of the extended LotR movies. J K Rowling wasnt in this club as she didnt become famous until about 20 years after tolkien died. -----------------------

Yeah, all are dead. They were a group back in the 30's and 40's. Most of them were professors at Oxford university too. Tolkien taught old english, and he worked at The Oxford English Dictionary (he entered the word wasp in.). -----------------------
