As a matter of fact, it is allowed so long as the writer has permission and does not go beyond what a character would normally do. For instance, Skarr hates mess hall food. His response would normally be, "That looks like a steamed bantha turd, I'll find something else to eat." Someone else writing him would not be allowed to write, "Mess hall food! How exquisite!"
I know that's a rather simplistic example, but writing from another character's point of view is allowable. Just be sure to clear it with their owner and tell them how you're doing it. I may not be active but I would like to add that Karash is not actually a doctor. He is more a self-taught medic due to the fact this squad is crazy / suicidal most the time.
