Kuroishi looked down at the datapad in his hand.  His otherself had been up to no good again.  At least this time though he might get some satisfaction out of it at least.

The Vast Empire was giving them a shot at being privateers.

They'd need some help but Kuroishi already knew exactly who to talk to.  First he'd need to gather up the squad and tell them the news.

"Wraith squad report to briefing room in fifteen, that's one five."  Kuroishi barked over the intercomm.

Marching down the hallway toward the briefing room from his office Kuroishi began to ponder what the next few days would entail.

"Squad we're being given a rather interesting assignment.  We're going to go out and steal from the New Republic then give what we steal to the Vast Empire.  That's right we're being given a run at being privateers for the Vast Empire.  If we get caught our punishment will not be any less then what pirates get and I suspect with our established criminal records in the New Republic we'd be swinging from a yard arm anyway if we got caught.  We'll be leaving for Point Zeta as soon as you gather your gear.  There we will be meeting Reginold Greyscuttle, a former pirate that my otherself saved from a rather grizzly fate and now acts as his Flag Captain., an ourselves.  We'll need his help for this."  Kuroishi briefed.

"Sir if Reginold Greyscuttle nearly met a grizzly fate doesn't that mean he messed up?"  Lukas spoke up from the squad.

"The only mistake he made was attacking a ship that happened to have the daughter of an Imperial Remnant faction leader onboard as a passenger and thus causing him to focus his efforts on crushing Reginold Greyscuttle and his band of pirates.  Give your opponent ample reason and they will find you.  So far in my case I've just been fortunate enough to avoid the New Republic's efforts because I've had a good squad around me to pull each other's collective asses out of the fire.  We will have access to the frieghtors carrying arms and equipement in my otherself's fleet.  Gear up."  Kuroishi answered.

As Kuroishi walked to his quarters Kuroishi began to think about what they could actually hit.  He was the only fully trained marine in the squad.  That meant they would have to go after things that most pirates wouldn't ussually go after.  Ground targets, sea targets, anything that the limited number of personel could grab.

[OOC]  It's a start.  I'll try to get back to this soonto take care of Reginold Greyscuttle's part in this affair.  [/OOC]

Rommel was cleaning his newly aquired DC-17M, it had been several weeks since their last mission and he was yearning to put his new found toy into action.  Hunter busted into the squad bay with fat eating grin on his face.  "Whats up Hunter, did you get lucky last night spoke Rommel?"  I wish replied Hunter, I do have some good news.  Boss wants us in the briefing room in 15 mikes, sounds like we may be getting some action.  The same fat eating grin appeared on Rommels face as he quickly reassembled the DC-17M.  Just then Slick walked in and and bascially repeated what Hunter had said.  Get your butts in gear and lets go said Slick.  You don't have to tell me twice said Rommel and then all three departed out the squad bay toword the briefing room.  Little did Rommel know that this mission wasn't going to be your everyday run of the mill mission.  Of course no mission Wraith Squad ever went on was normal, or easy.

Snipes sat up and shook his head, trying to dispel the grogginess that had attached itself  to him, it made him dizzy and nauseous though, so he stopped. He'd heard something over the intercom, he wasn't quite sure what it was, so he grabbed a can of deodorant, sprayed himself down good and pulled a shirt off the upper bunk, pulling it down over his head in the process. Stumbling to the door, Snipes slapped around the wall trying to find the open button, finally he hit it and the door slid upward; But Snipes got more than he bargained for, the cursed sunlight stabbed through the window across from him and blinded Snipes. Twisting around in agony, Snipes grabbed the closest pair of shades put them on his face.

"Ha! Take that" Snipes called, shaking his fist at the window.

Head in hand, Snipes trudged down the hall, looking for a fellow wraith, so he could ask what the announcement had been. He didn't see anyone though, and so he changed his objectives: Find a cup of coffee and get rid of this blasted hangover.

Staggering around, he came to the lounge area, near the middle sat the coffeemaker, Snipes tripped and trudged his way over, poured himself two cups and left the room stealthily; he didn't know who the other cup belonged to. In his bumbling search for a dark retreat Snipes came upon the briefing room and opened the door, everyone was already there, so Snipes sat in a free chair like he knew exactly what was going on and had been late on purpose, or at least for a very good reason, despite his assumption that everyone knew exactly why he was late and that it wasn't a very good reason.

Kuroishi made a coughing sound and drew the squads attention away from Snipes (much to Snipes relief, he remembered who's coffee mug he was holding).

There we will be meeting Reginold Greyscuttle, a former pirate that my other self saved from a rather grizzly fate and now acts as his Flag Captain., an ourselves.  We'll need his help for this."  Kuroishi started.

"Sir if Reginold Greyscuttle nearly met a grizzly fate doesn't that mean he messed up?"  Somebody spoke; Snipes head was beginning to pound worse.

"The only mistake he made was attacking a ship that happened to have the daughter of an Imperial Remnant faction leader on board as a passenger and thus causing him to focus his efforts on crushing Reginold Greyscuttle and his band of pirates.  Give your opponent ample reason and they will find you.  So far in my case I've just been fortunate enough to avoid the New Republic's efforts because I've had a good squad around me to pull each other's collective asses out of the fire.  We will have access to the frieghters carrying arms and equipment in my other self's fleet.  Gear up."  Kuroishi answered.

Snipes groaned up from his seat and made his way back to the room he shared, setting the cups on a flat surface, Snipes went straight to his footlocker, pulled a couple shirts out from under his bunk and tossed them in. Slamming the top down, Snipes was ready. He'd brought it all, the booze, his deathwind rifle, his pistols and shotgun, various gadgets and some extra clothes, along with a few thousand hard credits in a secret compartment, just in case. The contents of this chest was the same as the one he'd packed around since leaving Corellia, and it was all he'd ever need.

Anubis chuckled as Snipes walks in, the appearance of someone that had a little too much the night before present on his face.  Anubis then focused back on the briefing till it ended.  Getting up, Anubis felt eager to return to combat.

Well, I shouldn't get myself hit this time around.

Anubis thought as he made his way to his room and the storage locker.  It was a simple matter of grabbing the bag that was there, already packed and ready for a mission.  Double-checking to make sure he had everything, Anubis found that he was missing his peasant beater so he went back into the locker.  Going through various clothing and not so necessary items, he came across the club-like object and put it into the bag.

"It's always good to have this baby with, never know when someone needs a little beating, or discipline."

He stopped for a second and took the beater back out.  Looking in the mirror holding the weapon in his hand, he closed his left eye and held the weapon in a threatening position.

"Argh matey, I be going to beat you down with this here barnacle."

He stopped when he noticed that one of the cadets was watching him from the doorway.  Anubis put on a serious face and yelled at the cadet.

"What are you staring at trooper, move out!"

With a quick "Yes, corporal!" the cadet ran off.  Anubis chuckled, throwing the peasant beater into the bag then making his way to the hangar.  Through the hall, Anubis chuckles at the look he saw on the cadet and envisions the fun the Wraiths could have on this mission practically being pirates.

The young Assistant Squad Leader was already up when the briefing announcement was made. He got out of his bed and got his uniform out of his dresser and put it on. The sun was just starting to poke over the horizon, shining through the crevices in between the blinds that were closed.

Lukas made his way down the desolate corridors to the briefing room. When he got to the briefing room, the only other person there was Kuroishi.  He stood next to Kuroishi and waited for the others to arrive. The room was still a bit dark even with lights on a dim setting.

One by one the rest of the troopers slowly made there way into the room. By the looks on there faces, the majority of them hadn't gotten much sleep. Snipes had a groggy look on his face and had a cup of steaming hot coffee in his hand, Anubis looked wide eyed and ready to tackle the mission, and Rommel had a look of eagerness to him.

Kuroishi filled them in about the upcoming task that was ahead. It was a rather new idea, something they hadn't done before, privateering. As Kuroishi spoke to them, Lukas made mental notes and spoke up when he needed to, other than that he stayed quiet.

After Kuroishi had gotten done briefing them, the rest of the squad got up and left, talking amongst themselves. Lukas was one of the last ones out of the briefing room. He headed back to his quarters to get his gear ready for the upcoming  mission that lie ahead of them.

[OOC]  Last time I tried this I had a bunch of students suddenly need my help and lost my post.  Let's see how I do this time.  [/OOC]

The shuttle dropped from hyper space and Kuroishi tapped a few keys on the consule in front of him.

"Sweetums control this is shuttle Aragoso 649.  Sending clearance codes for docking."  Kuroishi opened the comm channel.

"Clearance codes confimered.  Proceede to docking point alpha."  Came the reply of the comtech on duty.

The shuttle glided in and docked with the Sweetums.

As soon as the shuttle docked Kuroishi marched back into the passenger compartment.

"We're here.  Grab your gear and let's go."  Kuroishi barked.

Marshaling the squad to the briefing room aboard the Sweetums, Kuroishi noted that Reginold Greyscuttle was already there.

Reginold Greyscuttle towered above Kuroishi and had the appearance he could break Kuroishi in half if he wanted to.

"I will just get right to it.  You all have experience as Special Forces operatives already or else you would not be in Wraith squad.  So the only major philosophy change you need to make is you need to not blow things up as often as normal situations would suggest.  Civilians quite simply put when dealing with pirates or privateers will not follow any rules or laws and will not be put on trial for it.  Bad luck in targets cannot be avoided but it can be minimized.  GUESSWORK has a very impressive collection of data, so much so I wish I had them when I was a pirate.  Do not shoot it, blow it, or kill it if you do not have to.  Be prepared for venting to vacume and your enemy turning off the artifical gravity when boarding.  On the ground you should know all that awaits you there.  If you get caught even by the New Republic odds are not favorable you will even live to see a trial out this far.  If there is anything you want after all I have told you that you did not bring the Sweetums will be rendevousing with the rest of Task Force Death's Nest in two days.  In the mean time use the opportunity to hone your boarding skills."  Reginold Greyscuttle spoke not even waiting for Wraith squad to seat themselves.

Kuroishi turned to the squad not having sat down through the briefing.

"You heard the man, zero g training will begin in thirty minutes."  Kuroishi barked.

Sitting against the dark corner Snipes sneered, he hated zero-g, the few times he had had to deal with it had not been favorable to him, once he lost his payload, the other time members of his crew had died. But this was different, Zero-g training had the wraiths split up into two different teams, defending and boarding, it played very much like a one way capture the flag, the attacking team tried to get their pirate booty, the defenders tried to stop them, the game was as simple as that. They used training blasters that just gave a good jolt when someone was hit.

Snipes heard the sound of hushed voices and readied his blaster, pointing it towards the door he waited until he saw two figures come gliding in through the door, like any normal person they where still accustomed to using the floor as their down, Snipes had changed his perspective, now the wall was down. Waiting for them to get all the way in the room Snipes fired three shots at each, the first person was hit twice and the second only once. Snipes concluded his aim had gone to hell.

Two attackers down, it was Mandor and Anubis, both grumbled, but went back out of the training area like good little pirates. Snipes changed position and was now situated on what had been the space of wall between the top of the door frame and the ceiling when there had been gravity. There were two other doors into the room, but Snipes found it unlikely the attackers would be able to enter through those doors,  Hunter guarded another room down the hall that the door above and to the right of Snipes lead to and Lukas was somewhere near the briefcase they were using as a 'flag'. Rommel was guarding another room almost directly below Snipes.

Snipes floated there for a long while, he was almost possessed to move and see what was happening elsewhere when he saw a the door above him open and a solid mass move in, immediately Snipes pushed off for the opposite wall, firing three shots where he approximated the mass, which could only be Kuroishi or Otto, had gone; But Snipes wasn't fast enough by far and before he even made it to the other wall he felt one very nasty sting in the back, Snipes sighed, he had been hit. Head hung low, Snipes went out the door and too the briefing type room nearby so that once the 'game' was over they could look over it and see what they had done wrong, it was likely a long list, it had been their first attempt, the had decided to try it just on previous knowledge, and since none except Kuroishi had any real training in it, that had been a bit lacking.

OOC: Its late, give me a break /OOC

Anubis rubbed the sore spot where he'd been hit.  Sure it'd only been a stun blast, but it still hurt like heck.  "Ouch, ouch."  Anubis finally got tired of rubbing the sore spot and went to check out Mandor across the room.  Mandor had taken two hits and it was evident that he was hurting more than Anubis was.

"Well, nothing like getting hit...again."  Anubis said as he took a seat next to Mandor.  Mandor simply nodded, his face showing that he was hurting a bit more than he was letting out.

I shouldn't have been so slow to react, I mean, I did some of that zero g stuff so long ago...though, maybe that's the thing.  It was long ago.  I wonder what sort of memories this training is going to bring back.

Anubis thought as he overlooked his armor, seeing the small almost unnoticeable mark left by Snipes' blast.  Taking out a small rag from his bag, Anubis began to rub at the armor till the mark had worn away.  "There we go, now it's simply a matter of time to wait till the others get back."  Anubis said, pretty much to himself as Mandor was more focused on his hurting.

Just as Anubis turned around he saw Snipes sulk in.  He could only chuckle at the person who'd gotten him out of the first training round.

The muffled sound of blaster fire could be heard a room away from were Lukas was. Lukas hid in the shadows of the confined room where the briefcase was, it was his job to protect the briefcase at any cost. He didn't know how many people had managed to get shot on his team, so he decided to think that they were down to at least 3 people on his side.

The tiny black mass floated near the back of the room, there was only one way in and that was through the door infront of him. Rommel had been posted in the corridor beyond the door from intruders trying to get to Lukas's location.

Zero gravity training had always been easy for Lukas because he could always orient himself no matter how fast he was spinning or moving in space.

The sound of blaster fire in the corridor started up again about five minutes later. Rommel pushed off the corridor wall and shot at the incoming intruder that was coming through the door at the end of the hall.

Blaster marks scorched the wall from where Rommel had shot, a few seconds later a return volley came right back at him. Rommel positioned himself at an odd angle and kicked off again, barely avoiding the shots.

The battle outside of Lukas's room continued to rage on for a few minutes more before silence came again...

Just sit still and let them come to you Snipes told Rommel.  That may sound good to some soldiers but Rommel had little patience when it came to sitting still.  But Rommel was also a professional solder who always followed orders, well almost always.  Rommel heard blaster shots and prepared himself for the OPFOR (opposing force) to enter the room.  Anyone coming through that door would be the enemy so Rommel did not hesitate when he saw the appearance of someone enter the room. Rommel let off two quick shots but missed and just hit the wall.  Expecting a quick counter attack Rommel kicked off the wall and barely missed being hit himself.  "This zero-gravity stuff really bites" Rommel murmured to himself.  Rommel released another quick volley toward the area he expected the enemy to be.  Rommel had always been taught that when all else fails just throw blaster bolts down range and keep the other guys head down.  If they are worried about being hit they can't shoot you.  Rommel did a midair spin as the "enemy" returned fire with the same intensity he had done.  That guy must be from the same school as himself thought Rommel.  Suddenly it became very quite.  Rommel knew something bad was about to happen.

Kuroishi grabbed a stun grenade from his belt, pulling the pin in the same motion and hurling the grenade to make use of the laws of physics to change his momentum and disorient the OPFOR.

The flash and bang came a moment later.

The round was over.

Training was coming along well enough to get them used to micro gravity but Kuroishi had concerns about the Wraith's ability to actually function as a unified squad in micro gravity.

Floating back to the briefing room Kuroishi carefully considered what he was about to do.

"Wraith squad you are doing well in preparing for micro gravity conditions.  Tommorrow we will arrive with Task Force Death's Nest.  The arms frieghtors will grant access to any Wraith for one hour.  After that we will be transfering to the Royal Barkalounger and making our first strike.  GUESSWORK has provided the coordinates of a frieghtor carrying a shipment of military goods.  Get yourselves checked out on some vacum gear.  If we are to prove this concept works time is crucial.  Chow at regular times and try to catch some rack time."  Kuroishi barked at the Wraiths gathered before him.
