If it's not an official squad story and you're just fooling around (in some little story you created), then I suppose that's up to you to decide whether you live or die in those little fantasies.
However, if you die in an official story, your character is dead. -----------------------

If you want your character to go on leave, there are many ways to go about that other than death. It's irreversible  -----------------------

Basically Hunter if you kill off your character in an official story... you would have to start a new character in the VE. Once you're dead... you're dead. No reset button here. -----------------------
