For those of you who don't know, MMO stands for: Massively Multiplayer Online. If someone speaks of an MMO, its an online game that a very large number of people can play at once.

Note: GuildWars doesn't fufill some definitions of an MMO, it does meet some others. Its a bit hazy. Diablo 2 is NOT an MMO and neither is NWN, sorry. They lack any form of global persistant world.

Galaxies until 1 year after launch: It was a fun game until a year after launch when everyone and their dog became a Jedi, after that: screw it.

City of Heroes: I'm -STILL- having fun playing City of Heroes. You get super powers OUT OF THE BOX and they only get BETTER. Instant gratification on the ass-kicking factor. I think I'm the only VEer that plays though. :P

World of Warcraft- Insane amount of fun. Granted, you have to pay, and there are more than enough servers that are plagued by absolute tools. But raiding the horde lands and smashing orc skulls more than makes up for it

GuildWars - No monthly fees/amazing graphics and game system.

Neverwinter Nights (Including both expansions - Shadows of Undrentide/Hordes of Darkness) - Fun game, awesome single player campaigns.

Well, NWN is a awsome game, but technically, its not a mmo. Its just a RPG thats capable of having multiplayer games with large numbers of participants.

Considering if I can get the money together for it I'd play WoW over Guild Wars I'd have to say WoW is my preffered MMO.

Guild Wars I like the way they do the actual adventuring part.  In SWG or even at times in WoW I would wind up with a lot of my kills getting 'stolen' by some yahoo who just blunders by and kills.  Sure they set it up so I'd still get most of the XP but I would have preffered all of it.

Over all until I get my paycheck, a new muffler on my car, and a new matress and see what's left I'll have to satisfy myself on GuildWars.

During the creation of WoW one of the makers died, so in the game there is a special monument in the game ill get you a link to the instructions on how to get there.
