Yes. They still bash thier guitars to pieces thinking it will help thier image... These people arn't rockers any more, just low life musicians lost in the darkness. Music has lost heart and I suppose I find the good music in rare supply. Excuse me if I appeared to be biased on rock or R&B or whatever, I think I was probably just profiling. Good music exist in every genre, but I'm really not hearing much of it lately. Some times you have to go off and watch The OC just to hear a good song.
Then again, there are some things I just hate... For one, over played music. You can get me to hate any song, besides Sweet Child Of Mine and most Zeppelin, if you make me listen to it over and over. It loses the special feel it had. Then it just becomes annoying.
Nickleback especially... And that band that made that song 'Chariot' or whatever... Just makes me want to punch whoever it is endlessly... You have no idea the rage it creates. Otherwise, like I said, I can probably like about anything, but I'm not one to do it because its in or heavilly endorsed. I listen to things because I like the way they sound. Hopefully that rambling was more informative to my ways... Keep rockin. -----------------------

I don't understand why everyone likes all that crazy rock stuff. I'm not against it, but anyone who wears mascara and has to scream into a microphone (which already amplifies sound <----kinda obvious, but reinforcing my point) doesnt get to many kudos in my book. -----------------------

Personally, I don't really fall for either Techno or Heavy Metal. Nor Rap, R&B, Hip-Hop or anything that falls in those lines.
Rock is where it's at. Not your modern day "alternative rock" band, but the real older stuff is where its at. I'm talking AC/DC, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Guns n Roses, The Who and the list can go on...
The Very few rap like songs that ever found there way into my playlist was due to the fact that they where featured in a skate-video and had a very good beat/rythem to skate to.
Then again, that totals up to five songs tops.
As for newer music, Greenday is alright. Velvet Revolver makes the cut as well. Not much though, seeing as the majority of newer stuff his rap/pop based.
Yuck.
By the way Jak, Rock is not wearing mascara and screaming into the microphone (at least not realrock). Don't mix it up with Death Metal

im not really into techno, i like the older stuff like the doors, ac/dc zepplin, pink floyd, steve miller :O~~~~~~, zz top, stuff like that.
i like some rap, 50 cent, ludacris.
greenday was much better back in the nintys but i like a few of there new songs... yea...

There are some catchy techno songs. Sure, they're annoying if you listen to them too often, but otherwise, they can be awesome. Just like every other song really, exluding those I mentioned above. Keep rockin. -----------------------
