It's that time again.  Time to celebrate the Anniversary of the Vast Empire.  It has been 7 years since we started back in 1998.  There will be many activities happening for this celebration, so don't miss out. 

Here are the details about when this festivity will occur:
Date:  Sunday, June 26th
Time:  Right after the regularly scheduled meeting (http://www.vastempire.com/main.cfm?ref=meetinginfo)
How Long:  For as long as people want to celebrate
What will we do:  Trivia contests, RPG games, MP competitions, and a few more surprises!!

What I need is a few volunteers who want to help run various activities.  Mainly the trivia contest(s), MP competition, and possibly a RPG game (could be IRC based or even MP game based).  I'd like to get a different person to help run each activity so they can also participate in other events.  In case you are worried, you will be compensated for your efforts (depends on the number of people you have participate in your event). 

If you would like to volunteer for one of these, send me an email with what you are volunteering for as well as mention what you have planned for running that particular event so I can pick the best volunteer for the job.

memorial day is at the end of May. He originally had it for the end of may, then changed it to the sunday in june which happens to be fathers day. Now its at its present date.

So far, I have Hashi running a trivia contest and Rizzit running a JK RPG game.  If there is anyone else who would like to volunteer to run an event, let me know.

For prizes for these events, I will be providing the prize money.  For each event that has places, here will be the prizes you can win:
1st place - 500,000 ICs
2nd place - 250,000 ICs
3rd place - 100,000 ICs

The organizers of the events will receive 500,000 ICs just for running the event.

Note:  You can participate in more than one event so it is possible to win more than one prize.

Okay, a few notes on the anniversary. First off, I have to work during the anniversary. However, I will be on the computer later that night as soon as I get home. I will plan on having the JO RPG at 7PM EST. For those who aren't good with time conversions, that's 3 hours after the anniversary starts. I have a good storyline planned out, and it will take some organizing that requires some chat room time before hand. Be patient with me in that respect, cause if we do this right: it will be a lot of fun. There are a few things you need to take part in the fun though. There are some comnet threads that will allow you to access this information. In case the links DO NOT work, head over to the RPG comnet and look for the following topics:

JO RPG Information This topic gives information of the various roles of the RPG, it will also give you the links to the downloads you'll need. We're using DKS Area 42, for map choice. The other maps you will NOT need. You do need omnimod, the skins, and the latest JO patch.

JO RPG Signups This topic gives basically the storyline basics. Read it please.

One thing you also will need to do is create a false name for yourselves. It shouldn't be your callsign, however: I'll leave this as an option only to make the RPG more intresting.

Once more, please bear with me for the first half hour. I'm hoping I get more people than I have roles for. If I don't: we'll improvise or play as planned. I'm hoping at the very least to get the exact amount needed.
