After our little platoon meeting last night, we all decided that we need some more gaming going on. To kick things off, I will be starting a Dueling Tournament up. To sign up, simply post here and/or e-mail me saying you wish to sign up. Also, please list your Gaming Platform(s) that you can use. JO (Jedi Outcast) and JA (Jedi Academy) are the available platforms for use. I'd like to schedule the tournament in about two weeks from now if possible. Either way, it's time you started practicing. So anywho: signup here and let's get started. It will be 5 stakes, but I'm not sure wether or not I'll make it single or double elimination. I'd like all those who wanna participate signed up by the first or earlier. While this is to promote activity in the army, I also extend the invitiation to the DJO, Navy, and VEHC. Post here, or e-mail me to signup. I'll also list a similar thread on the Competition Net. -----------------------

You all have until Tuesday to sign up. After that: I'm gonna start the tournament. Wednesday we'll do the practice tournament with no official matches made. We'll be using official rules though. Hmm. 4pm PST. I may be able to make that.
Maybe we should clear up the rules a bit. Are we going to have a specific day where everyone who wants to participate must show up and duel, or will we be using a bracket to show who is dueling who, and let the dueling partners fight each other in a time good for them? -----------------------

You could always run it as a roundrobin depending on the number of players. If we have a lot have two pools for round robin. Below is an example.
Pool A
Player 1
Player 2
Player 3
Player 4
Each player plays 3 matches to 5, one against each member of their pool. Top three players move up to round two. Tie breaker is done via kills and if still tied, then by number of kills vs #1 ranked player in the pool.
Top player in pool A moves on to the semi finals. The other two player in the quarter finals.
Pool B
Player 5
Player 6
Player 7
Player 8
Same system here as well. Top player moves on to semis.
For playoffs. Matches are best of 3, each match is 5 kills.
Quarter-final 1: 2nd in Pool A plays 3rd in Pool B
Quarter-final 2: 2nd in Pool B plays 3rd in Pool A
4th in Pool A plays 4th in Pool B for 7th place.
Semi-final 1: 1st in Pool A plays winner of Quarter final 2
Semi-final 2: 1st in Pool B plays winner of Quarter final 1
Losers of quarter-finals play for 5th place.
For final, matches are best of 5, each match is 5 kills.
Final: Winner of semi-final 1 vs winner of semi-final 2.
For 6 players, do the same though all players advance from round robin. Round robin in a 6 player match simply is done to seed the players.
You could also do a round robin of 6 in one pool and have the top 5 move on, 2v5, 3v4, 1st gets bye. Then winner of 2v5 plays winner of 3v4. Winner of that plays top qualifier.

Okay things went......less than perfect last night. I had four people and a bot playing JO. One couldn't stop using guns, and the other three were constantly dueling: which was great. But all things considered, this is 4 out of like 12. I'm not going to worry, it was just practice. I'll be holding another one before the actual thing starts. Let's make it something official: Wednesdays and Fridays 8PM EST. -----------------------
