Well first off no need to be an ass that post was for every had nothing to do wit the navy i posted it in the lounge were as far as i can see you can talk abotu any thing you want work had keeped me from the meet to day so i put a post in lounge my CO and Xo know that i would not be at the meeting so next time try and be more polite i try to be every time im new to this posting stuff. you can not think that every new person that get on here now were to put every post right off the bat. So plz next tiem be more polite

I agree. You were a bit out of line on that one, Jack. This is the Lounge ComNet. ANYTHING (well, almost anything) can be posted here. I didn't see anything wrong with Eeth posting here to say that he's still around and active. In fact, that attitude is greatly encouraged. If he had posted on the Main, then I would have told him to post here, but he posted here instead.
The Lounge is the place where you can "put up your feet" and "kick back".

the story line is basicly good, it's just the gramar and spelling errors that makes it a bit hard to read, understandable, to me anyways.
I would suggest that you the story somewhere like Microsoft Word, do the spelling and gramar checks, then copy it to the StoryNet page. -----------------------

You should be too, Will, because you're not perfect either. :P Neither of us is, but it's the perfection that we all strive for that makes us better writers.
As for writing your posts in Word, I do the same, but when it comes time to copy/paste it onto ComNet, some characters get "scrambled" in the process. After you copy/paste into ComNet, check your quotation marks (if you have them set to Curly-quotes, then set it to Straight-quotes). Also, "..." will appear as an "&". -----------------------

Instead of bothering to correct things, I copy and paste into notepad, then into the comnet. Don't know why that works better, but it does. The quotemarks don't get scambled anymore.

In Jack's defense, I saw the thread name and at first though, "Oh man, here's another new recruit that forgot to properly read the instructions correctly." So, while he may have been harsher than most of us - and probably he - would have liked, it is not without precedence.
That said, it was a pretty random topic, even for the Lounge. Though polite as well. Consider me mixed on the whole thing.
As for the writing thing, Chipmunk's request is pretty much as good as gold. Also, don't ever be afraid to ask someone for tips/advice/preview reads. It is just a matter of practice and technique. You'll grow into it just fine. -----------------------
