My History
Born on the underbelly of Coruscant; my parents' lives consisted of parties and the night life. I severed contact with my parents early in life as I was discusted with their way of life. From age 14-24, I fought, killed and conquered to be one of the most notorious members of the Raptor gang.
Most revered for my iron fist ruling of subordinates and my mottoe of taking no prisoners. With most formidable foes my motto adapted to "Join or die".
My Skills
I have excellent hand/eye coodination. Not much training in piloting but am a quick learner. I have a decent shot with a blaster and am reasonably skilled with a vibro-blade but personally would like to handle a lightsaber. I am excellent in hand to hand combat. I have potential in tactics. I do not seek revenge. I can control my anger to be able to make rational decisions. I am willing to take any orders from my superiors. I also know how to hack, pick locks and set/disable traps.
My Likes
I like the older versions of heavy metal, ancient classical and some techno (without words). I have no favorites in food, more or less food packs are an efficient source of nutrients. I like boxing and problem solving. I love kyrat dragons, any lizard or arachnid.
My Dislikes
I HATE MIND ALTERING DRUGS. My parents tried to raise me on it. I watched their minds deteriorate from the crap.
My Recruitment
Adventure. I crave adventure. My thirst for adventure landed me in the high ranks of the vicious Raptors. An underground hero I am, many legendary stories I have witnessed and took part in; but I have always kept a low profile.
I had kept around me a group of 7. 4 Trandoshan, 1 Gamorrean, and 2 humans. I knew all of their backgrounds but my second in command, Drake, was my protege and only true friend. Drake was human and was the only one who knew the dark secrets I possessed.
We went on a mission for supplies, uplevel. On the 20th level we split up. Drake, 2 Trandoshans and the other human on that level and the rest and I a level up from them. I told Drake to go get supplies and anything handy to the gang; with that we split.
On our level I decided to hold up a convenience store that was close to our escape route. I told the boys to go in, wait for me then grab and go.
They were in position and I came strutting in, my DC-15s blaster pistol raised and I told the cashier, a droid, that this was a stick-up. My boys grabbed miscellanious items and ran out the door. The cashier gave me the credits I demanded and I ran out the door.
About an hour later we regrouped. Drake managed to pull off the same thing. I told the group to organize the bounty and count the cash. Drake pulled me aside out of the range of the others and whispered "You know how we want to get off this rock? Well, I found out that the Imperial forces are recruiting! Sector 9 in the Crimson Corridor. It would totally be a better way of life!".
"Well, we must keep this a secret, or we'll both be killed for mutiny" I replied.
They had 375 credits, a handful of food packs, 3 packs of synthe-flesh and some drinks. I decided we go back to headquarters and report our loot. But I could sense something hidden.
One of the lesser rival gangs, whose name was unknown to me, ambushed us. Their group numbered 10. My group took cover behind whatever they could and pulled their blasters and started firing. Drake had no cover but crouched fired and caught a shot to the kneecap. He screamed, fell backwards and was hit multiple times. This gave the gang and I enough time to trace their enemy's fire. We took out 6 of them. I watched the rest of them run after seeing their comrades fall. I quickly ran over to Drake to find him dead. I vowed that moment to go for that better way of life.
That night, while everyone was asleep I took off for the recruitment office.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the same thing as Maul?
Pretty good bio Xynen, and just so I got this straight... In short: You joined up with a gang because you po'd at your parents for thier way of life, falling into a badlife of your own, seeing a lot of bad stuff, staying in anyways until your friend gets killed with the idea to do better... Well then. I don't understand at all, so I'll just go ahead and watch some Nickelodian trailers. I don't even know how to spell that an more... That right?
Alright, the story looks like its coming to an end... Good. This will allow us to start up a new story, which will allow those who are new here or just getting back, to get into the stories. Have some fun again. Plus, there will be a set storyline or atleast goals to go along so it'll be easier for you guys to get into.
And, I keep forgetting, but if you guys do have a bio, put it on the roster preview as well, so everyone can get to it rather than having to search this thread or going to our site, although that would seem noteworthy. -----------------------

Logically, if you were living in the worst part of Coruscant wouldn't you want to be an ally of the most notorious gang controlling the area where you live?
So naturally, out of intelligence you would join the Raptor gang, and out of intuition you would rise through the ranks considering how you rule and dominate others.
This is a purely logical assessment.
Also, I chose Zabrak, 10 horns and such purely out of being a total fan of Darth Maul. I admired the way Maul dealt with his enemies and his superiors, so if my character come off a little Darth Maulish then so be it. Fanism has been put to use.

I knew that he was from Iridonia, I remember reading that in his journal when I was like 12. Good stuff.
I posted my last on the story. Sorry I could talk with you guys about the next mission before this came up, but I'm giving full control to Art as of this moment. I want Art to start up a thread discussing the next story and giving some basic parameters. Then as he gets some ideas he can give you a story line or atleast some goals that need to be accomplished. Darius is going to be back so he'll be able to help you make it factual Art.
Everyone, start givin in reports, because no only do you have to worry about us wondering where you are, but so do your Flight leaders. You need to send a report to your flight leader and Art for the next two weeks. Art, I need you to send me a report on the group at the end of each week, because I'll be back on the weekends.

Alright, the focus will be on finishing the squadron story asap. I will be setting up an ideas thread on the storynet for the next one though so we can discuss that as we finish. For sure, this mission will be a space flight mission so it is back to the fighters for us. As for the scenario, I was going through my mind, thinking about what we had recently done. I have essentially come down to two general options.
1. Ambush a small rebel convoy carrying something important (VIP, cargo, or whatever seems fitting).
2. Ground strikes on a target (defence facility, manufacturing, base of operations, etc.)
I think I will actually make this a poll. In your reports (if you haven't sent one yet), please indicate if you prefer option 1 or option 2. If you have sent me a report, send me an e-mail. I will post the results tomorrow (that means you have until tomorrow night to tell me). I won't be on until later in the evening tomorrow but once on, I will post the results. Had to extend my hours tomorrow to cover for one of the supervisors who is ill.
A couple of other notes. While we are going to brainstorm on the storynet, I want a meeting this weekend to discuss things further and just get into the routine of having a meeting. Hopefully if we can agree on a makeble time this weekend, we can use that as a framework for weekly squadron meetings. Please suggest a time in your reports or on here.
Finally, to the flight leaders. Please e-mail me a complete status report on your flights, particularly in regards to the ability of your members to write (how often, how much, etc).

I've read about the wing story. I was just wondering what kind of fighters Nazgul would be flying. Any idea, anyone?
And Art, who knows, if this wing story works out good (which it probally will), you might just get the Wing Commander position since you're already doing a wing story. 
Oh yeah, has anyone heard from Omulis lately? Xynen is in email contact with me, so Xynen's still active, and Aldur is around, even though I haven't received an email in about a week.
Unless anyone has heard from Omulis, I'd say it's a safe bet to AWOL him.

Ok everyone I am back, my apologies for my sudden absence. I just got my computer back from being repaired yesterday and since I don't have class on the latter part of the week, I never had an opportunity to come online and let you guys know of my forced absence. So anyway, my apologies for the inactivity but now I am back and ready to get this story going.

As far as I am concerned, Omulis is AWOL and I'm sure Shazam will confirm that when he returns. I think we can add Raddon to that list unless he goes out of the blue and shows us otherwise. An e-mail with no action is not enough to keep him from being AWOL.
I'll have more of an update later after I read the reports. (I expect they are in my inbox right? :P)

WING STORY IS UP!!!
Enjoy everyone and stay active!
A few points of note:
1. Even though this is a wing story, let's keep the emphasis on character and description. The wing story gives us a chance to work on it in a large group setting and allows us to set an example for writing quality.
2. Realism. Realism. Realism. I know you all know this by now but just a reminder, we aren't superheroes
3. Flight leaders: keep an eye out for AWOLs. I already know a few people are but keep an eye on that list. This story provides an opportunity for us to figuratively kill off our AWOL members.
4. HAVE FUN! HAVE FUN! HAVE FUN! Enjoy the story and keep active, it should be good.
One other point:
Reports! In mine, Shaz's, and your flight leader's by early Friday evening so that they can make their reports. Please let's get this reports system going, we shouldn't have to get harsh about this, reports are very standard procedure. Maybe next week will prove better. (And incidentally, I know who is on leave and you don't have to send in reports while on leave as I'm sure you all know).
