Because everything but the Lounge should be reserved for serious stuff. That way, someone who doesn't have much time can avoid the non-serious stuff, and quickly find the business stuff that they need to take care of quickly.

Here's the deal.
I don't care how useful you may or may not be, no one is immune from the rules. And the rules obviously state to not abuse the resources that are provided to you to use.
I don't see any reason why Talon, obviously frustrated and the only higher up online at the time of this incident, didn't sanction, fine, otherwise punish, and possibly boot either offender in this case.
The rules are there to provide the best experience for all of us. And be on notice that we will tend towards the good of the whole than of the semi-productive few.

Sometimes, but not always. Try to stay on topic. The Lounge is a little more touchy along those lines. It's when you go off and start posting things that don't make sense or go wildly off topic even after repeated request not to do that that people start to get annoyed. But definitely try to limit posts anywhere else to business or otherwise important stuff. -----------------------
