I've been to D-Day the past two years, and they usually have close to 2,000 people. It's absolutely the greatest paintball event I've ever been to. This year I'm gonna take my gun (Tippman 98C rigged to look like an M-4 carbine) with a grenade launcher duct taped to the side like an M-209. Then there's gonna be the glow in the dark paintballs, to be used as tracers at night. Plus the hopper I'm rigging myself with blacklight-LED's run off a 9-volt to keep the glow paint glowing. And my surplus SWAT team tactical vest, and my surplus steel-pot helmet w/ cloth camo cover. And of course BDU's. And grenades. And many hundreds of paintballs. And some landmines. And quite possibly the kitchen sick. Mwahahahaha!

Ask Sokudo, the real thing isn't so... thrilling. You may feel like a badass now, but when bullet hiss by your head for real, you'd probably need to find the little soldier's room to change yourself.

Let's see.

Gang fight
- Doped up idiots with no tactics and usually substandard munitions with no real training and no incentive to kill unless a person is unarmed

War
- Trained adversaries with ability to call down artillery strikes and other nasty things who have every incentive to work on the "kill or be killed" philosophy

Never mind the fact that getting shot at by ANYONE is, let's make sure we're clear on this, NOT A GOOD THING.

How the hell you managed to turn a paintball game post into a defense of gang warfare is beyond me, but you failed.

I believe the initial complaint was using terms that made the game of paintball comparable to war.  It was pathetic earlier this year when that moron from Miami, Kellen Winslow, who compared games to war in the middle of a real one.  And guess what? Its still a sorry excuse.

Games are fun.  Warfare is not.  As long as we distinguish between the two, everything should be fine.

How my words got twisted into saying I thought being in the middle of a gun battle is fun I'll never know.  However, Sniping, if you really think you are a bad ass, go talk to Sokudo.  Seriously.  You'll realize your experience, while bad to be sure, was nothing to the situation that got him home early.

Okay, i tend to go a little over board with the paintball preparations, but did I say anything about thinking that actual combay was fun?

I was going to get a tippman 98, and it was all tricked out, for like $90, but my parents wouldn't let me :-p I should have started my open rebellion towards them back then

i work damn hard for the money i get and they endup milking aroun $700 a month out of me on top of their jobs, wich gives them a gross income of around $3400 a month. i pay $440 for rent, i pay for my internet, my food, my electricity and waterand what im really gettin at is $440 is too much for a 14'x8' room. i dont care if they are my parents thats robbery, my job is ten times more physical than either and i make about half as much, i dunno, i can see maybe making me pay some, but after its all said and done i have about $50 bucks left at the end of the month, my parents have around $1000, of wich i never get to see any benifit to myself. i can see if they made me pay rent maybe and part of the electric bill, but i have to pay the whole damn thing. and my dad leaves his comp on 24/7, i can see paying for part of the grocierys that i would acctualy eat, i have to pay for all the grocierys. its not having to pay them money that bothers me; its the bang i get for my buck( reletively equivelent of a popper)

Well I skipped the posts that turned this topic into complaining about rent. If you wanna talk about places that are overpriced for what you get though then I suggest you make a little trip to Richmond and visit my rat, roach, and ant infested apartment where the heat only works half the time, the hot water only works half the time, and to keep it simple pretty much everything only works about half the time.
