Was it a "costume malfunction" or a planned act. Im leaning towards a planned act.
On another note...I am utterly amazed at the uproar this has generated...the number of ppl offended is astounding. ----------------------- SL/ESN_Arturus/Kaph 1-1/Phoenix Wing/M-SSD_Atrus/VE/VEN/(=a=)(=sa=)(=jcpa=)(=scpa=)[MC:1][SV][BRC][LoC]

After having read several news articles on it, I'm convinced it was deliberate. Just another crappy lame MTV publicity stunt. Besides, I've seen Janet Jackson and MTV pull a similar stunt at a concert a few years back. ----------------------- TRP/SGT Hashi Shiyun/1SQD/2PLT/1COM/1BAT/1RGT/VEA/VE [IH] [SoA] [LoR]

Well MTV claims to know nothing about it...I dont doubt it could have been a stunt the two devised themselves...apparently they said they came up with the ripping idea at the last minute...but it was supposed to reveal a red bra which Janet Jackson happened to "neglect" to wear...or so the story goes...lol ----------------------- SL/ESN_Arturus/Kaph 1-1/Phoenix Wing/M-SSD_Atrus/VE/VEN/(=a=)(=sa=)(=jcpa=)(=scpa=)[MC:1][SV][BRC][LoC]

Well I didn't tune in to the superbowl that evening, so I wouldn't know exactly what happened. So if anyone has any pictures of Jackson's bare boob during that stunt, send them to me so I can further analyze and maybe reform my opinion of this audacious, deplorable act.
Thanks. ----------------------- TRP/SGT Hashi Shiyun/1SQD/2PLT/1COM/1BAT/1RGT/VEA/VE [IH] [SoA] [LoR]

And yes, I do still think that stunt was deliberate. Bloody media. Infecting young minds such as myself. Of course not. Sex is a very natural part of our lives. Just thought that the younger kids who watched that show shouldn't be getting the wrong ideas into their heads at a premature age ;P
And to be blunt, I find it plain slutty.

Hey. YOU try sitting down with some kids and talk about the birds and bees of life. Not exactly easy, you know. It can get pretty awkward. Some familes are also more conservative about discussing sex than others, due to their religion and culture, like mine.
"Uhh son. Right. Today, I'm going to tell you where babies come from" etc

that is true...but perhaps if ppl were a bit more open about things then it would solve some of the immorality problems in society...or at least lower the levels of them at tad in addition to lowering levels of rape, teen pregnancy etc. ----------------------- SL/ESN_Arturus/Kaph 1-1/Phoenix Wing/M-SSD_Atrus/VE/VEN/(=a=)(=sa=)(=jcpa=)(=scpa=)[MC:1][SV][BRC][LoC]

or the levels could rise
If you compare live from now to say the 50's sex was a 'hush hush' thing and there was no talk about it.
Now a days sex is everything. Everyone wants it, its everywhere we look. Our society has been "infected" with it.

how so...its a similar argument that can be applied to other things such as alcohol. The more something is considered bad, obscene, etc. the more problems it causes. If people are open about things, were not afraid to speak to their kids early about things, etc. the world would be much better off.
I give the example of alcohol laws for a reason..I personally think they are pure bull and here is why. When a substance is considered bad or something that isnt legal until you are a certain age, what is going to happen. Under age binge drinking, over indulgance, and alcoholism.
In countries such as Italy where there is no legal drinking age and alcohol and drinking is common everywhere, the rates of alcoholism are almost nil. In America they are quite high...not as high as say Russia but still noticibly high none the less. Also the levels of binge drinking, under age drinking, and black market sales of liquor are much higher. Binge drinking is high cause those under 21 drink all they can cause god knows when they get their next drink or liquor...gotta find either a fake id or someone to buy it for them and sell it to them. Banned substances cause more use, more undercover/black market activitiy, more dangerous uses, etc. Marijuana is another good example. Would it really be all that cool if it wasnt illegal and obtainable in gov't regulated liquor stores? (using the cdn experience in this case since all of canada's liquor stores are gov't regulated). If it isnt illegal, the odds are use would drop, over use would definitely drop. Also the violence associated with drug dealers would drop slightly and if it is gov't regulated it is safe marijuana and not street pot that could be laced with all sorts of things.
Which brings me back to sex, its a part of life, an important part of life for many reasons. The more it is hidden, covered up, made to seem obscene, the more teen pregnancies, a higher rate of std spread, and higher levels of sex crimes will occur.
Its just one argument...I know I havent outlined it incredibly clear...Im still not thinking quite right...damn sickness...but anyway thats an overview of my argument for this. ----------------------- SL/ESN_Arturus/Kaph 1-1/Phoenix Wing/M-SSD_Atrus/VE/VEN/(=a=)(=sa=)(=jcpa=)(=scpa=)[MC:1][SV][BRC][LoC]

damn you rema for editing your post while I was writing :P
Yes that is true, but at the same time there are so many groups who push that this is obscene, parents shelter their kids beyond belief because of it making it seem bad, wrong, or somehow immoral in regards to their religion. We are bombarded with sexual references everywhere and yet society is trying so hard to shelter kids away from it instead of explaining what it really is...this causes problems. ----------------------- SL/ESN_Arturus/Kaph 1-1/Phoenix Wing/M-SSD_Atrus/VE/VEN/(=a=)(=sa=)(=jcpa=)(=scpa=)[MC:1][SV][BRC][LoC]
