Well, I guess one of the reasons you lack in recruits is because you fail to inform of the next step via email. I didn't event hink of looking on the Training comnet, but I will check now just in case I am being foolish. You have to walk new people through each step, neh? |

I would be more than willing to fill in, if you have read my joining statement, you would know I have been around a bit. If nobody minds I would like to help out new recruits, you know, push them through training so they can get in a squadron. I don't know if it is feasible, but have you ever thought about putting in a training school or reinstating one? |

There was one at one time, then it was cut as VEN continued to downsize. The logic was that after brief training by the TO, the squadrons of veterans would help the new recruits. Of course now that most of the older members are gone that philosophy is no longer really valid either. -----------------------

I have been doing my best. I tried to step down, but was unable, but if you look at your greetings post in the Academy Comnet you will find the letter that you would have recieved.
That's not the problem, though, as even when I had access to e-mail no-one bothered to respond. -----------------------

Um Heth, I highly doubt getting mad about the situation is going to help it. Of course judding by the state of affairs it couldnt possibly make it any worse but nevertheless...
Does anyof the HC have a template welcome letter? That would make it very easy to send welcomes to new recruits, just plug in the name and send it off to the right address. Sure it might be slightly impersonal but it is something compared to absolutely nothing. -----------------------
