I've seen a lot of conversation about FFXI on the PristonTale forum from people who have actually played the game. ALL are bad comments, and greatly despise the game.
When you first start off, its supposed to be really great, but as soon as you get to lvl 6 or so, the game takes a long and steep dive downhill. Everyone has said that it's not worth the $15 bucks a month, and 100% of the beta testers did not favor it, and those who did buy the game sold it a few days after they bought it, heh.
So, do what you want at your own risk. :P
If you are going to spend any monthly fee on a game, I'd get SWG. -----------------------

/me looks at his SNES, PS1, PS2, SNES emulator with huge collection of ROMS, and Arcade emulator with huge collection of roms and feels content.
No PS2 live for me, don't play it nearly enough to justify such an expendature.
Also once I get my rebate checks for my new hard drive watch for me in Galaxies land, my brother gave me his copy for free so now I just need to make a pilgramige to the nearest CompUSA for some game time cards. -----------------------
