Erm not great not god-awful.
Too much of APU's shooting at squids and not enough of the matrix.
Strange how a matrix film only featured 20 mins in the matrix?

Ending was also far far too cheesy

Ending was a little cheesy, but it wasn't that bad.  It would be difficult to spend a lot of time in the matrix when it was entirely Agent Smith.

I was just general fairly dissapointed, except for the first 20 mins nothing in it excited me.
Only bit in the film that affected me was when trinity died.

Come now tell me what you thought of the film?
and dont tell me about the theology and philosophy in the film lest i smite you with my trout of smite-ing-ness-er?

Found a review fairly close to what i think:
http://www.splicedonline.com/03reviews/matrix3.html

Some funny questions on the movies, not really important:

"I still have many nits to pick with this frustratingly imperfect trilogy: What's with the obnoxiously wide-eyed and clichéd eager-soldier character called The Kid? What fool designed the huge, lumbering, impractical mechanized battle-bots that Zion freedom fighters strap into to fighting the sentinels? Why do Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) and his crew wear tattered-rag get-ups onboard their hovercraft when they have plenty of earthy-fashionable tunics back in Zion? Why is there no mention of the billions of humans "living" inside the Matrix -- or that these oblivious hoards Neo originally set out to save from their artificial existence must be terrified by their world's disintegration and reshuffling at the hands of the omnipresent (what with all his clones) and seemingly omnipotent Agent Smith? "

Why the hell did they have to pull a Lucas and bring religion into it? Yes he was supposed to save all of mankind, but that doesn't mean they had to make him Jesus for crying out loud. Ruined the whole movie for me. Had its moments, all in all disappointing, good thing I saw it at Gold Class or the whole day would have been a waste.

I think it brought the story level down from one and two. It just wan't as good. There were only a few realy nice parts. Like the climatic battle. But that is it.

To understand a lot of it, like the kid, and what the Logos was doing, you need to watch the Animatrix and play Enter the Matrix.

All right, here is the Kid in a nutshell.  He was a teenager that felt that all was not right with the world.  He started to have dreams of suicide.  Neo contacted him, saaid that agents are in his school and he needed to leave immediately.  He was chased to the roof, where he jumped off.  Neo grabbed him and unplugged him, then was forevermore subject to the Kid's abject worship.

I have no diea who designed the Mech Warrior suits, but I would love to have one.

No point in getting nice clothes dirty in the wasteland of the real.  Also, might be some sort of grunge fashion statement.

Religion was in the trilogy from the start.  Neo was "the One", prophesized by an oracle, and given amazing powers to toy with the fabric of one reality.  They just finished the circle, though I really don't believe that he is dead.

And, the people were probably terrified until Smith took over their minds.  I think that he was only controlling, not erasing, though, so they probably returned to normal, though they were more educated and given the opportunity to leave.

As for the third movie.

I really did enjoy it.  I didn't like it quite as much as the first two, but it was worthy of them.  The only thing that really bugs me is that it raised a lot of questions and didn't answer all that many.

Given that all three movies will make over 200 million dollars, I think it would be stupid for the Wachowski brothers not to tie up the loose ends, and make just one more to satisfy the fans. Lucas could also take something from that statement. MAKE THE LAST THREE, DAMN IT!!! Luke is old enough, no makeup would be required!

Harrison Ford'll never do it.  He's already stated that he will never make another Star Wars movie, he's too good for that or something.

Bah, ol' Ford had his day, but he's past prime now. If he tried to play Han Solo now, they'd have to write a wheelchair into the script.

First... I'm glad Lucas isn't making the last three since he did such a god awful job with the first two.  And plus, RotJ tied up loose ends, as a trilogy should do.

Second...  Let's face it, none of the Matrix movies were all that great.  The first one was really fun to watch, but the dialogue was so sub-par I don't believe I have to mention it, most of the acting was on the same level as the dialogue, and the story wasn't all that terrific in the first place.  What made the movie worth seeing were it's special effects.

Matrix Reloaded took the bad dialogue, story, and acting and multiplied them by five, while the special effects are now no longer awe inspiring.  While still worth seeing for the effects, it was only worth seeing once, since everything else was so... bland.

Matrix Revolutions takes all the bad from the first two and increases them yet again three fold, making the entire trilogy one of the worst ever.

This has been a message from the anal retentive film critic.

I thought the first Matrix was awsome, it left you questioning everything you thought you knew about the world. The second sucked beyond belief, so much so that I haven't seen the third. As you said, the second was bland. No real story.
