[OOC: I'd like everyone in Wraith to post what they come up with to develop thier charaters and educate the rest of the squad in thier own topic so that further posts can be made and everything will be kept clean enough to follow.  I'm also doing this way so you all can read it at your leisure.  /OOC]

Project Copyright Infringement Presents: An Aged Past.

Kuroishi just sat where he was in the middle of a burned out shopping center.  This is where Jingo Yatani had managed to pull off a minor miracle.

Kuroishi still wasn't entirely sure why he had come back to Eridani after all this time.  Perhaps he just needed to put some old ghosts to rest.

The world was a shell of it's former glory.  Most of the inhabitants moving away after the invasion.  Then there were the pirate raids.  The battle between the New Imperium and the New Republic had depleted almost every resource that should have been protecting this world.

As Kuroishi remembered that long day he couldn't help but think of all the losses that were taken on both sides.  Somehow two regiments of elite troops of the Intruder Wing Planetary Operations Division had somehow managed to hold the line against at least two armored divisions plus supporting infantry.

Acceptable casualties for most commanders would be one third of their fighting force in a normal even battle.  The POD regiments would shot their mothers for that few casualties.

Kuroishi had forgotten one of the basic rules he had learned back on his home world.  If you must fight win.

The fighting that day was so heavy and desperate just to give the two regiments a chance to pull off this forsaken world that Kuroishi was giving orders from a fighting hole.

From that day forth he had sworn to never repeat that scene no matter the cost in morality.

The fates of Kuroishi, Jociam Geist, Argon Viper, Jingo Yatani, Narm Greyrunner, Ramon Stonefish, Master, and Tycho Celchu were set in motion that day.

Those were the names of the commanding officers of the POD regiments, and some of the battalion commanders.  Those names became the Fallen Angels.

Soon New Republic security forces had placed those names on the most wanted list for acts that could turn even a seasoned imperial commander in the days of Palpatine's stomach.  Yet the Fallen Angels never killed a single civilian on purpose, in fact going out of their way to preserve civilian lives in a combat zone.  It was a matter of professional pride to both Kuroishi and Daishi.

Because Daishi had not been there at the time he still had a few morale hang ups.

No other unit managed to learn to use fear and intimidation nearly as effectively as the Fallen Angels.  Thanks to the Whiphid hunter they left the partially devoured remains of NR troopers laying around for the others to find.  Thanks to the sheer number of sharp shooters patterns of corpses left in strange, even insane, numbed the minds of even the most brilliant commanders.  Precise and proper use of liberal amounts of high explosives solved many a problems including making a heavy armor battalion surrender to just a single squad of men.

Though civilians were never purposely killed they were still part of the terror equation.  Heads of well known officers with their entrails decorating the local place of worship to great the faith full as they were leaving the service were not too uncommon.

All these things would warp any mind eventually and Kuroishi was already educated quite well in the applications necessary for a vastly out numbered force to wage an effective war against a vastly superior force.  The second rule of warfare taught to all Varneck Planetary Defense Force officers was to assume you are out classed in every regard.  It is better to give your opponent too much credit rather then not enough.  Kuroishi could never think of a better example of that then Palpatine's  policies toward the rebels.  Every officer that gave the rebels any consideration as a formidable fighting force were labeled as disloyal and placed where they couldn't do their job.

All the ghosts of this place could be felt by any soldier who had spent time in the field under heavy fire.  Kuroishi was glad that there were still things in this galaxy that could not be explained even with the force.

Kuroishi's thoughts turned to the three force users in his life.

Tina Fury the wife of his other self.

Neeman Colpman.  Gods help him he was still hopelessly in love with her even after finding out her brother worked against him and thus brought him back alive in a fish tank.

Torlia Junsen.  She taught Kuroishi everything he knows about fighting with a blade except for the art of Brengrak.  Brengrak he learned from a hysan named Jahromnk.

Kuroishi still didn't like how most jedi lorded their powers over those that didn't have them.  Even the so called 'light' jedi did it.  The whole thing tended to make Kuroishi sick and angry.  It seemed that whenever there was a major problem to be solved there was a force user there to solve it.

It didn't help that Kuroishi theorized that the only thing holding the New Republic together were a few force using brats.  Everything Kuroishi had ever learned about politics told him the New Republic should have failed by now.

Kuroishi looked at the many graves in this area.  The loses having been what they were meant that with the disintrest of the New Republic in cleaning up it's mess had left Eridani to fend for itself so the battle sites were now mass graves still littered with the burned out hulks of the tanks, armored personel carrierss, and other assorted mechanized gear.

"Sir if we don't get a move on we're not going to hold to our time table."  Reginold Greyscuttle inturupted Kuroishi's quiet.

"To the space port then, or what is left of it I should say."  Kuroishi replied.

This would be the fourth time Kuroishi had seen this particular space port.  Once when the POD first came down.  Once when the POD left.  Once on this return trip.  Finally on the way to his departure flight.

"Tell me Reginold.  Is it still worth it to you after all these years to keep going like this?"  Kuroishi said as they proceeded straight to their shuttle.

"Ever since my capture by you and your Varneck Marines I have owed you my life.  Greneth was my home and I would have stayed there and fought for it just as hard when the rebels came in to clean out the pirate clan I belonged to before you took me away from that.  If not for that one simple act of getting caught I would not be alive today.  Despite having been a pirate captain I still believe in repaying my debts.  Before you say I've saved you several times over consider how many times you have saved me since then.  It is an honor for me to command the fleet you have assembled for your own ends.  Together we have done many great things.  I'll never forget the first day you got some people together to become GUESSWORK."  Reginold Greyscuttle answered in his rolling voice.

Kuroishi always thought that Reginold Greyscuttle should have been a singer/actor instead of a pirate, but he was content to not meddle since he had a very capable officer who he could trust to get him out of the worst spots.

GUESSWORK started out as simply a tracking unit to give the Fallen Angels the heads up when a ground division was moving into their area of operations.  As any organization it grew into the Fallen Angle's own little intelligence operation.  Kuroishi did his best to keep them fed with information on which divisions and fleets were where.  In return they'd monitor anything they could to watch for movements and alert the Fallen Angels when enemy reinforcements entered system and where they were coming and where they were going.  They even developed a smuggling ability and technical analasys branch.

Kuroishi had always been wealthy and couldn't remember a time when he had to worry about money except when he was on a mission.

That still didn't stop him from creating one of the best stocked roving blackmarkets in existence.  About the only things he couldn't get were APC's, tanks, walkers, and planetary defense guns.

Of course the fringe benefit was one of the largest collections of personal firearms in existence.

The jewel in his collection was something he found on Eridani.  Something labeled a 'Timbique Edition Zues'.  It was a slug thrower that fired half inch diameter shells.  The armor piercing versions could go through an inch thick piece of armor plating and emptying the 50 round drum magazine was dangerous to even the most heavily armored piece of equipment if the wielder had the strength and skill necessary to keep all the shots placed close enough together.  Needless to say with the attached scope it was a very dangerous sniper weapon in single fire mode.  The shot could come within a meter of a person and still kill them if they hadn't taken appropriate precautions.

Then there was the armor Kuroishi wore when he could.  Varneck Marine Combat Armor.  Not very stylish or sleek looking.  It was designed to be the ultimate armor against energy based attacks including explosives that didn't throw shrapnel, flame, and it was even somewhat effective against lightsabers, but not very.  Kuroishi could keep an arm for maybe two swings.  Every armor has a weakness.  Most modern armors were designed along the lines, but no to the extreme, of VMCA.  Resistant to energy but not very effective against melee or slugthrowers.  VMCA had similar weaknesses plus an additional one: expense.

Because virtually every major army expects to meet an opponent with blasters Kuroishi always brings along at least one slug thrower rifle on a mission.  Kuroishi also never went anywhere completely unarmed.  Even without weapons Kuroishi considered himself to always be armed since his whole body could be used as a weapon if he just thought of how, and did he at times.

Eridani began to fade away as Reginold Greyscuttle brought them away from the scene of so many bad memories.

Kuroishi began to mull over what to do after he returned from this short little vacation.  Perhaps he'd get himself higher on the New Republic's most wanted list.  He was bothered he wasn't even in the top five yet after all the stuff he had pulled.  After all it wasn't like the Fallen Angels were subtle or anything.

Argon walked across the compound where the Wraiths were currently stationed.  If he'd tried, he probably couldn't have found a unit more similar to what the Fallen Angels had been.

Argon Viper was a Master Sergeant in the Vast Empire Army.  In the near past, he had been a member of the Fallen Angels, and the leader of the Dread Knights, both within the Vast Empire.

In the more distant past, Argon had been a Colonel, a battalion commander of the elite POD regiments of the Intruder Wing.  Primarily a scout and demolitions expert, he had picked up extraordinary sniper skills as a side effect of being in the group.

One quality of him that annoyed the higher ranks to no end was that he would not salute anyone unless they had earned his respect.  This wreaked havoc because Kuroishi, who had stood at the rank of corporal for a long time, had already earned his respect hundreds of times over, and therefore warranted a salute where majors and captains of the VE Army did not.

Walking across the compound, he spotted SGM Raziel.

Raz was another VE enlisted man to have earned a salute.  When the Dread Knights and the Fallen Angels had fallen apart (mostly through conflicts between them and the VE Officers), Raz had welcomed those troops into his squad, happily making use of their talents in his Special Ops squad.

Arriving at the sniper range, Argon remembered the crazy man who had joined Kuroishi in teaching him sharpshooting skills, Jaochim Geist.

Geist had been somewhat insane, even by the standards of the POD/Fallen Angels, managing never to get promoted during the days of the Intruder Wing, staying at the rank of Major despite being the second in command.

But that was all okay, no one paid much attention to rank there, it was just something that gave you authority over "outsiders".  They had all technically been members of the IW Fighter Corps, but their true passion had always been the POD.

Sure, they had been a little insane, but that made them more capable of the job than someone stable.  The kind of mind that can leave a man draped over the altar with his intestines spilling out will always be infinitely more capable of terrorism/black ops than any other.

Despite that, the members of the group had developed their own system of honor.  Argon had probably been the last member to join the group, and was introduced almost immediately to that sense.

One did not kill civilians on purpose, that was the primary rule.  In fact, one went out of ones' way to avoid killing them at all, they were not targets.

The second rule was that the best was never good enough, no matter how good you were, you could always be better.

These skills were most useful in the conflicts with Amon Nezumi, whose threat had nearly destroyed everything in an attempt for power, and only the training and sacrafice of the POD had succeeded in stopping him from completing his plans.

With that memory, Argon ended his sniper practice, it always brought about too many emotions to bear doing anything else.

Nezumi had been one of them at one point, but had left the group to pursue these schemes.  He was also personally connected to Daishi and Geist on many, many levels, making the job of taking him out extremely hard on the both of them.

Argon had been only a squadron commander with the rank of Colonel, new to the POD, when the conflict broke out, but he could tell that things were going to get ugly.

All these things and more had formed him, and now here he was, again under Daishi's command.  New people, new place, but the same basic idea, and he was looking forward to what that entailed.

Dragoon took a long drag of his cigarette as he sat outside of the barracks.  He had just moved his stuff in after being called by General Fury.

"Only if you beg," Dragoon said to the General.

"Get back in here or I'll kill you and your family," Fury replied angrily over the comlink.

"Be there in a few minutes," Dragoon replied with a cackle as he shut off his comlink.

He hadn't been in active duty for awhile.  His time with Jester pretty much consisted of him trying to not kill the rest of his squadmates with a few misplaced explosives.  But it wasn't a big deal anymore.  He had learned from his past mistakes.

He took a quick look around to see if anyone was approaching.  "Coast is clear," he said with a wide grin.  From under the seat he pulled out a copy of "Twi'leks Monthly".  "No use going through the boring shit, straight to the centerfold!!!" He said a little louder than he realized.

A group of three stormtroopers stood in front of him.  Shit, he thought to himself, I'm out of uniform.  This is going to be an interesting time getting back into the groove.

"We'd like to see some identification," one of the troopers said.  Dragoon grinned, just because he knew he was really good looking and the other guy wore the mask to hide some hideous disfiguring scar.

"Sure thing," Dragoon said as he pulled out his identification card.  "I just got back, and I'm a little rusty.  Hopefully you'll forgive me."  He didn't grin this time.  When you grin too much around someone really ugly, they tend to get jealous of the beautiful grin and decide to try and make you as ugly as they are.

"Wake up," the trooper said to him.

Dragoon was confused by that statement.  "Pardon?"

"Wake up," the trooper repeated, louder this time.

Dragoon woke up.  He blearily looked over at the clock.  It was earlier than he'd been up since ....  since he was last active in the Army.

He sat up and looked around him.  He wasn't necessarily living in luxury now.  The room was bleak, with white walls and white furniture.  He looked at his socks.  "White," he said.

While brushing his teeth he hit his answering machine.  One message.  He hadn't had anyone called him since... oh yeah, the Twi'lek twins from awhile back.

"Dragoon, this is Lieutenant General Fury of the Vast Empire.  Remember me?"

"I'm trying to forget," he said to the message.

"I need you to come to my office at the most opportune hour for you.  Bring your old uniform.  Fury, out."  Then it stopped.

"Just when you think you're out, you get sucked right back in," he muttered as he put on his shirt.  "DAMNIT!!! NO MORE WHITE!!!"

-----------------------------------------------

"Advanced to the rank of Senior Seargent rather quickly, didn't you," Fury said to him as he looked at the data screen.  Dragoon didn't bother to answer.  He was too busy examining the liquor cabinet.  "Originally a member of Wraith Squad, until you moved to Jester, in which you decided that you would fit in better somewhere else... like a brothel in Coruscant, is it?  Ran out of money on gambling and prostitutes and probably a lot of pornography, if this report on you is correct, when you ran off to Corellia."  Fury looked up at him.  "Welcome back to Wraith Squad, Dragoon."

Raziel walked slowly through the Wraiths barracks. Those that didnt know him would think that he has being purposeful, that his cold, hard expression meant that he was out to do something.
Those that knew him better would realise that he was in deep thought.

Am i ready to go back? he silently thought. He was still at a high in physical condition, his constant training had kept him quick and strong. But still he was getting old now and it had been a long time since he had been back there....been another person. It wasn't what you did, it was the way you did it. There had been assasins as efficient as him on Nar Shadaa, yet he had been the Dark Blade, the tool of the ancient clans. He had been the one that their enemies had feared in the night and Raziel wasn't sure he would survive for more than a week there now.
He looked up for a brief second and then leant on the wall behind him. He had worked so hard to achieve this here. He had built this squad up around him hadn't he? But then he had to go back. She was still there. Waiting for him.
Kuroishi will carry things on He was more than a match for Raziel in terms of experience and tactics.
He sighed and headed back to his own room. In a split second he pulled a knife from somwhere within his jacket, twirled it between his fingers so that it ran up his hand and then put it away. Most people watching carefully would still have no idea where that knife had been.
Now if only i can be who i was again. If i can still put the fear of god in people and make someone drop their weapons the instant they see my eyes... Somewhere deep down Raziel knew that the assassin was still apart of him.
He returned to his empty room. His bags were packed and he was ready to go. All he needed to do now was talk to his squad before leaving.

Project Copyright Infringement Presents:  An Aged Past Part II

Kuroishi's next ghosts he had to lay to rest were going to be the truly most painful ones.  His home world had been rendered uninhabitable in a conflict he didn't much know or care to know about.

Before the cataclysim the buiseness he had inherited from his father had made him wealthy beyond many mortal mans dreams.  After the incident a single bottle of Varneck Citrus was now so valuable that Kuroishi could easily never have to worry about money again.

The world of Varneck used to be not much more then a frozen tundra that stretched as far as the eye could see.  The local vegetation was actually quite colorful during the warm season.  Now all that was where Kuroishi grew up was a huge crater made by a Star Destroyer impacting on the surface of the world.

Kuroishi looked out the viewport staring at where he had buried his father.  It was one of the few sites that had not been utterly destroyed in the sheer force of the impact.  Checking his watch Kuroishi was glad that he was on schedule.  If he wanted to lay this ghost to rest he'd have to be.

The world was now only home to ten thousand or so ghosts and howling blistering winds.

Kuroishi got up once the shuttle set down and immediately walked to his father's grave.

"I'm not sure if I'm your son the copy of your son.  Either way I remember you as being my father and that makes what I have to say just as heartfealt.  I know you never were a big supporter of the empire and would have rather I stayed here to protect my home.  I do not know if I had if I would be dead or alive if I had.  All I know is you were right about one thing that I never believed until it was too late.  'Son there are many things in this universe that we can not afford to take for granted.  Never forget who you are or where you come from.  War and fighting bring only suffering.  We may both be military men but that does not mean we can not consider better ways.'  I thought I could lead the forces of the Intruder Wing to victory against Boo Wood in those bleak weeks we tried to hold what worlds we could.  I realize now that my logic was flawed and instead of defending we should have attacked.  Bleed the enemy and make what is his yours.  Never form a battle line, always strike hard and fast.  At least you'll be proud to know I've been off alcohol for a few years now.  One of us will be back next year father."  Kuroishi finished his speech at the exact moment of the twelfth anniversary of when Robert Lee had placed his father in this grave.

"It is time to go back to your squad now sir.  Your leave is almost up and we have to take precautions."  Reginold Greyscuttle broke the brief silence.

"You're right.  I've got work to do with those men if they are going to be ready for our next offensive.  Only about a dozen people were off world when this happened.  I don't blame anyone other then poor out dated tactics.  If we faught the way the Fallen Angels faught from the day after Endor fell we'd have achieved so much more and the few people who I called friend who haven't betrayed me would still be here with us now."  Kuroishi replied.

The return trip filled Kuroishi's mind with thoughts of his friends, both good and bad.

Jansom Colpman had a bit of a grudge against Kuroishi ever since he found out that he had an inappropriate relationship with his sister.  It only helped Jansom even more that every time Kuroishi reported back the losses the IW were suffering at the hands of Boo Wood.  Jansom used this to swing the government of Varneck from a pro-imperial government to a pro-New Republic government.  This lead to Varneck helping to raise a fleet to operate against the Vast Empire with the support of the New Republic.

Jahromnk was the other thorn in his side.  For the Hysan Piracy was a way of life.  Jahromnk was not all that much of an exception.  Kuroishi wasn't sure why Jahromnk had decided to get a pirate group together to pray on Vast Empire shipping anymore.  There was a reason but Kuroishi's muddled mind could not pin it down anymore.

The sword art of Brengrak that Jahromank had taught Kuroishi was actually rather effectual but it was still an honor based fighting style.  Meant to resolve duels it was still rather useful in many of the sword fights Kuroishi had found himself in but he preferred the melded style of swordsmanship he had developed from years of adapting and experience.

Kuroishi's thoughts went on to all the time he spent growing up hanging around his father's garage watching him repair the land speeder and absorbing every detail.

As he grew up Kuroishi became more and more interested in other kinds of technology and how it worked.  With an already impressive ability to crunch numbers in a hurry Kuroishi while not particularly skilled as a technician had a definite talent.  He occasionally brought a toolbox with him on missions but most of the time he left it behind and concentrated on bringing more ammo for his slug thrower rifles.

Even the Varneck Royal Military Acadamy had seen the value of teaching their sharp shooters with slug throwers instead of blasters.  Not only did it teach them to be even more accurate but it also was known that most opponents were not going to have armor designed to be particularly effective against slug throwers.

Reginold Grayscuttle let Kuroishi slip off into sleep and flew the shuttle back to VE space.  It had been a long two weeks and there was almost another one ahead of them before they managed to get back to VE space.

Kuroishi spent most of this time contemplating where he had been and where he was going.

He asked himself the same question he asked Reginold Greyscuttle many times before and only now was he unsure how to answer it.

Does he think it is worth it to keep going like this?

Kuroishi knew he didn't want to abandon his ideals but at the same time he wanted something more.  Something undefinable.

His answer was closer then any could realize.

Argon collected another 500 credits, these new troopers were always good for that, they never knew quite how strong a Whiphid was.

Argon stood over 2 meters tall, covered in thick fur over his entire body.  His strength outmatched a wookie, being from a predatory rather than tree-climbing species, and his ability to remain undetected if he chose was almost unmatched.

He had been the captain of an Imperial II-Class Star Destroyer, the Illustrious in the Dark Lighting Strike Fleet when a merger brought him into the Intruder Wing.

Already a Colonel, he quickly found a group that matched his somewhat insane combat style, the Planetary Operations Division.

When the Illustrious was shut down due to a lack of pilots, Argon was moved to command Diamond Squadron on board the MC-80 Cruiser Intruder.  It was at this time that he began to focus most of his attention on the POD.

This came around the time the conflict with Amon Nezumi began to heat up.

The POD was already full of talents, two snipers, all pilots, one slicer, a Jedi, and many other new and unusuall talents, so Argon took a few moments to find his niche.

It turned out that he was best suited to be a scout, he could move undetected in even the worst conditions (try running down your prey on a Hoth-like planet without being noticed), could see in even the thickest haze, and he was able to take out minor "obstacles" without bothering to wait for the others.

In addition to all of this, his system of honor was in no way contradicted by the mission of the POD, a semi-terroristic group that also commanded a large amount of regular troops.

In this case, his experience as commander of the Illustrious served him well, as he already knew the basics of command.  He was never able to match the pure insanity of General Daishi's "Monkey-Warfare", but was relatively competent nonetheless.

Soon, Amon Nezumi was stopped, at great cost to the Intruder Wing, which was then promptly attacked by the New Republic.

After a long and pitched battle, the POD and the Intruder Wing were forced to abandon Eridani, and not long after, Sector Admiral Kevin Setzer announced the disbanding of the Intruder Wing.

But the POD wasn't finished yet.  Changing their name to the "Fallen Angels", they changed tactics to nearly complete terrorism and received haven in the Vast Empire.

Unfortunately, their undisciplined tactics and refusal to listen to authority they didn't respect led several of them to resign from the VE, practically killing the unit.

Argon, at the time of the disbanding, had already left to command a sister squad, the Dread Knights.  Built on the same idea as the Fallen Angels, it consisted of new blood, people who were used to the VE, but were willing to make full use of the tactics pioneered by people like Master and Geist.

Soon, however, he was forced to resign that position as well, leaving the VE for a time.  When he rejoined, the squad had died, another victim of conflicts with command.

Instead, he moved into Wraith Squadron, which was another outfit of similar nature, but more compatible with the higher-ups.  In this squad, he was able to fully exersize the skills he'd gained as a sniper, explosives expert, and scout.

Looking out the window, he saw Kuroishi.

Getting up from the benchpress, he walked out to greet his old and new commander.

[OOC:  A question Fury put to Raziel actually got me to thinking about the same thing for Kuroishi so here you all go.  This will be a bit of a short post compared to the other two but I am pressed for time before I have to leave for college.  /OOC]

"All my greatest fears have come true except for two."  Kuroishi muttered as Argon aproached.

"As long as I'm around one of those won't be too much of a problem."  Argon said overhearing Kuroishi's muttering.

The two of them had worked together long enough that Kuroishi knew he had few secrets from the intrepid whiphid hunter.

"True.  Pass the word.  We're going into some rather intensive training as soon as everyone gets back from thier leave."  Kuroishi added as he walked on to his new office.

Kuroishi was a man who had lost his family, his home, had everyone who he had called friend betray him, and he was begining to think he would die without having a family of his own.

Daishi had already managed a good start on having his own family having breed with his wife.

The thought of failure terrified him.

If he ever truely failed he could never forgive himself.  He already had a great deal of guilt on his head from the failures he has had until this day.  The few successes that were his did little to balance the scales.

Now he was truely ready to begin a new chapter.

Dragoon sat in the lounge and lit up his cigarette.  He still wasn't in his uniform, but he had introduced himself to all the right people, so hopefully no one would get angry yet.  It had been awhile since he had been in active duty, so they couldn't expect him to be ready automatically, could they?  He closed his eyelids and quietly smoked his cigarette.

"What do you think you're doing?" someone asked him in a commanding tone.  Dragoon's eyes opened up a small bit and saw Kurioshi standing over him.

"Smoking a cigarette, why do you ask?" Dragoon said back in a slightly annoyed voice.

"There is no smoking in here," Kurioshi replied.  He grabbed the cigarette from Dragoon's mouth and threw it on the ground.  "From now on, take it outside."

"Fine, fine," Dragoon said, raising his hands into the air.  Standing up, he walked towards the door.  "I don't want to cause any trouble."

He kept his eyes on Kurioshi as he walked away, not noticing the large beast in front of him.  He walked into the hairy wall of muscle with a dull thud.  Dragoon had met Argon before in his first time in the Army, but the initial shock of seeing the large whipid in front of him caused his eyes to widen instinctively at his sudden arrival.

Argon gave Dragoon a toothy grin as Kurioshi walked up behind him.  "The smoke makes him angry," Kurioshi said with a grin.

Dragoon looked up at Argon, who was still grinning, and gulped.  "Right, no smoking inside.  Gotcha."

[OOC: Yeah, the smoking is one of the only things I hate about Europe...  Here in California, we've got some really nice anti-smoking laws  ]

"Later," said Argon, catching Dragoon as he tried to walk around, "we've got some training to do, and you're part of the squad now."

"Training?" asked Dragoon, "I'm caught up on all my training."

"Not the VE training," said Kuroishi, "we're special ops, not regulars.  You're going to learn silent movement, sniping, explosives, scouting, heavy weapons, and some medical techniques."

"What?" said Dragoon, looking suspiciously back and forth between the two, "I thought the VE went down to specialties, I only need one or two of those."

"As a stormtrooper, yes," replied Argon, "but we're special ops, and are more likely to be separated.  You'll need to know how to use everything in order to get out of that kind of a situation alive."

"Exactly," said Kuroishi, "now let's go find Raziel and Yun."

Kuroishi was studying the criminal record of Dragoon in his office.

There were many interesting charges on there but nothing as severe as what he has done, but Kuroishi still had to wonder if what he did was really any worse.

Even though he had pulled a Tour of Duty as a MP with his homeworld's defense forces, he still had managed to justify some rather bizare crimes all in the name of a prank.

The warcrimes on his head were meaningless and yet dangerous in Kuroishi's mind.  He still did not enyirely recognize the NR as anything other then a bunch or rebel scum.

Besides they were his enemies and there is only one law in war, to win.

The pranks he pulled on his comrades and the VEA didn't trouble his mind too much, though he knew his otherself was still angry about a few.

The only time someone got hurt was a homeless person he paid ten IC's to get in the trunk of Three's limo.  Kuroishi figured Three would have some occassion to open the trunk before the hobo suffocated but he was wrong.  Rumor has it that it took three days of constant cleaning to get the smell out.

Kuroishi had perfected the art of not leaving a trace of evidence linking him to any prank or crime related prank.

Kuroishi still missed the weapons locker on the Sweetums but he had to make do with what he was given in terms of storage space for his weapons.

Kuroishi grabbed his .303 caliber bolt action sniper rifle, six clips, and a pair of binoculars.

It was time to teach Dragoon a few things that weren't covered in basic.

(OOC: Just a little side note:  Dragoon, while a large part explosives expert, was always a good marksman.  Don't change anything, Dragoon's character could play it off as a way to show off, which is what he loves to do.  Heavy Weapons, Scouting, and Medical techniques would be his major weaknesses there.)

"Okay, let me get this straight," Dragoon was saying to Kurioshi on the shooting range.  "I line up someone in the 'crosshairs', were they?  Right, the crosshairs, and then pull this 'trigger' thingamajig, and then they die?  That doesn't seem hard."

Kurioshi didn't seem overly impressed with Dragoon's sarcasm.  "Just shoot the damn target."

Dragoon gave a big grin and took firing position.  He began to hum softly as he was setting up his shot, and then broke out into song.  "I'm siiiiiiiiiiiiiiinging in the rain.  Just siiiiiiiiiiiiinging in the rain.  What a glooooooooooooooooorious feeling and I'm," he paused and winked at Kurioshi, "happy again."  With that he shot three rounds in quick succession.

Kurioshi looked at the target with the binoculars.  It was an old fashioned bullseye type target, and there seemed to be three holes in a tight, triangular formation in the middle of the target.

"Damn, I'm rusty," Dragoon said as he took out a Bantha Filters brand cigarette.  "I still say, firing a good rifle is almost as satisfying as sex with a wookie."  He paused before lighting his cigarette.  "Not that I would know," he said in an unconvincing voice.

"Well, it seems marksmanship isn't going to be an issue," Kurioshi said, almost seeming dissappointed that Dragoon didn't fail.  It made sense though.  He did advance rather quickly, and Kurioshi was quite sure it wasn't because of Dragoon's sunny disposition.  "Now let's see you know about basic first aid."

After an hour of working on a dummy, Kurioshi was amazed at how much Dragoon mutilated the poor dummy by just putting a bandaid on it.  There would be some work to do before he was fully ready for duty.
