Greetings,
With the release of Jedi Academy last week, many of us as well as numerous StarWars fans flocked to the store to get their copy of Jedi Academy. True? And most of us who did buy it were planning on increasing their activity by means of this game. Am I correct? Well, here is your chance to prove your merrit. I have just recieved the okay from Fury to press on with the competition. It will last one month, and it goes for all army recruits. I am going to be lenient and let this apply for all games, not just Jedi Academy. So any recruit you bring in will be subject to the competition. The competition starts tonite and will last until October 25, 2003 at 12:00AM EST. Now, you all probably want me to get on with it, so behold:
For every recruit troopers bring into the Vast Empire they will recieve
15,000!!!! ic's. And the Recruit himself/herself will have a starting
balance of 3000!!! ic's just for signing up with us!
And thats not all... There will be 4 new medals that are going to be given
out. They are as follows:
1. Academy Medallion - Bronze [AM-B] - This will be awarded for those who
recruit 5 or more members within the month.
2. Academy Medallion -Silver [AM-S] - This will be awarded for those who
recruit 10 or more members.
3. Academy Medallion - Gold [AM-G] - This will be awarded for those who
recruit 15 or more members within the month.
4. Academy Medallion - Platinum [AM-P] - This will go to the Master of
recruitment. One only will be awarded and this one of a kind medal! and
will go to the one that recruits the most members within the month.
So, that is the competition, there will be no additions to these rules unless Fury and/or PM override me. Good luck to all, and may the best trooper win. -----------------------

Kairo, the competition is for all games supported. It just so happens that we're doing it in honnor of Jedi Academy being released. That's why we call it that. All games are supported, and count for the medals. While we push the Jedi Academy recruits, we want any recruits you can dig up. SO RECRUIT, RECRUIT, RECRUIT! -----------------------

i suggest DONT recruit for a game you dont even have or you dont play, cause the last thing i wanna see here is that someone joins and is then left alone and not even his recruiter can play with him! -----------------------

I concur.
Also, if you recruit someone, be advised that you will be the one responsible for initially helping the recruit along and making them feel comfortable about being here.
We have a huge percentage of new members that join and simply fade away after a month. Cosmic, Peacemaker, and myself can only do so much administratively and most of that ends up looking like a form letter.
If you recruit someone, do what you can to pitch in and help keep them around please. -----------------------

MY proboblem is even finding somone to join. When I go to the zone no one bites. I have tried everything from setting up my own room to go into rooms that aren't recruiting and asking if anyone wants to join. Is there anything else I can do? -----------------------

Natrually PM and Fury, I was not implying that I want people to go into a game they don't have and recruit. I was merely implying that those who do have Jedi Academy, we would like to see them at least giving a shot. I saw no wrong in that statement. Furthermore, the only way to recruit in a game you do not own, is to PM everyone in the room like a newbie. Which none of us are. Anyways, if I rubbed off the wrong way on any of you with this, I am sorry. -----------------------

I didn't notice us picking on anyone in particular.
I thought we were reinforcing the recruitment idea by letting folks know what we expect from them once they grab a new member.
I wouldn't like it if I got recruited and then left hanging out to dry by my recruiter. -----------------------
