I have a few announcements to make.
1. From now on, I would like everyone to start keeping a copy of the story posts that you make. Because I'll be going around and marking all the spelling and grammar mistakes, then I want you to fix them.
2. Your posts need to at least a minimum of length, they must be one page long when viewed with a 1024x768 resolution, or longer,which is about as long as this post, from the first line to the beginning of my signature. Be as descriptive as you can be, describe your char, feelings and thoughts; the setting, the ships. When appropriate, insert little stories of your char's past.
3. After talking to Shazam, he suggested that I share the battle plan with all of you, to improve your posts and your number of posts. SO, here we go.Since we're no already in battle, I'll take move on from there.
We leave the the hanger and we go on to attack the Phanlanx and the Interdictor. We fire missiles at the Phalanx's shields, not hull. We're only supposed to destroy a few of the hostile Ties and NR fighters. Mean while everyone should be flying evasive manuvers. once we get rid of the shields we use the ion cannons that we have and disable the engine of the Phalanx. While we're in the middle of that, we will be attacking the Interdictor when possible. and try to capture that ship too (I know, a little change of plans). Russell and Cheatle will pilot the troop tansport to the Phalanx, and Piter and Sael will pilot the transport to the Interdictor. You four who are going aboard will have the freedom to write your own little adventures aboard the ships. Once we capture the ships, the remaining fighters, most that are still intact, will surrender to us. Then another NR cruiser will jump in system launch its two squadrons of fighters, a mix of x-wings, y-wings, and a-wings. Russell and Than will get into Ties and launch from the Phalanx, but Sael and Piter will have technical difficulties and unable to get off the Interdictor. The surrendered Ties and NR pilots becomes hostile once again and rejoins the fighte against us. The battle become 2 capital ships and 1 squadron of fighters versus 1 capital ship and 3 squadrons of fighters. In the end the Interdictor gets destroyed, the NR cruiser retreats, and most of the enemy fighters destroyed or retreats.
Anything else you'd like to see in the story, or ideas that might make the story more interesting.
I'm going to make this into a constest kind of thing. The more you post the more money you get, from me. and whoever ends up with the most posts will get extras.
4. In order to make sure that when you're writing, you don't mistaken something about another squadron member, I want you all to rewrite yours and make it as best as possible, put your best efforts into them, then I want everyone to read everyone elses'. Be sure to put in anything and everything that you want others to know. I know how it feels when someone writes about you and screws up, I'm sure some of you do too, so help prevent that.

The meeting times are set. Friday 9PM EST. If you have any problems with that time please let me know and I'll decide whether I'll change it to a different one. All reports from now on will be due at the meeting. If you are unable to attend a meeting for whatever reason, your report is still due on Thursday. That was a great show of activity for the meeting on Friday. One, only one out of all of you showed up. Than Sion is still on leave, I don't expect him here, but the rest of you are here and I had the info for the meeting in three different places, mIRC, this topic, and I messaged all that I didn't talk to personally. I want some explanation as to why you were unable to attend the meeting, send those to me by messages. In the future, the reasons why you cannot attend come to me at least one day before the meeting, not after. -----------------------

Per Shazam's request to the Command Staff- I'm going to re-address the house rules of this squadron as well as show the status of every individual in this squadron. Plus, I think we'll do this every new year or maybe even halfway through. Dunno.
Kaph Rules
Kaph Squadron should be thought of as a team rather than a sporadic geographic collage of people. These rules apply Kaph Squadron as a unit.
1. The Chain of Command (COC) will be used for complaints or other problems an individual might have. Under no circumstance will a complaint be made in this thread or in otherwise open fashions. This is a direct violation of our rules and will be treated as such in the appropriate manner. You can address someone through e-mail or message center.
2. Everyone will be respected without pre-emptive judgment. I hope everyone knows the golden rule because that's basically what this rule applies to.
3. Reports will be due at the meeting every Friday. Everyone in Kaph Squadron reports, no matter what position. If you are unable to attend the meeting, then the notice will be sent along with your report on Thursday. They can be sent through either e-mail or message center.
4. If someone is going to be gone or an increase or decrease in activity is expected, leave must be reported so the squadron can run efficiently. Simply post it here and it will be as good as the blazoned word of the media. Through your commanders the word will be spread to those who need it.
5. If you are fully active, the number of story post per week is two-three. If you are semi-active it is simply one-two story post. If you wish to be put in the reserves, simply message your flight lead and the word will reach the commander through the COC. Reserves need not post until they can become atlesat semi-active.
6. A command is given for a reason. Do as your superior's tell you.
7. There will be absolutely no slandering of other squadrons unless you would like to be severely fined or in some cases... Booted. Expulsion will be requested if any heinous act is repeated.
8. As a member of Kaph Squadron, every individual reflects the very character we hold so highly. They're expected to act in a respectful manner toward anyone and everyone in the VE. Kaph Squadron member or not. VEN or VEA. Placement matters not.
9. The 'Kaph Thread', whatever it may be called or wherever it may be placed, is the HQ of Kaph Squadron and will be the center of information. Treat the room with respect.
10. Don't be stupid.
That concludes our ten commandments... That is here for as long as this squadron exist. With or without the command staff currently in place or even the members... All things are interchangeable. These rules are irrevocable.

Well, the squadron is currently moving through a storyline, whether you realize it or not. More and more will be revealed to you. It is my intention as well as everyone else's to include you in the story creation eventually. Everyone will have their chance.

So, everyone with an unknown next to their name needs to be messaged and those with either semi-active, or fully active need to confirm thier status. That or ask that it be changed. I suggest those of you who are semi-active take charage and get those post in, start developing your characters and really let people know about it. Get out there and do some damage people. Well, have you gotten in contact with those 'unknown's yet? Once you know their status- then you can be reasurred. You need to get your people back to active duty. Doesn't mean fully active necessarilly, but this is supposed to be fun. No one wants to wait two or three days just to post again. So, once you've got your status's confirmed, theres no more we can do. We can rely on the academy for more recruits to the squadron though. You'll just have to make sure they're sheperded in correctly. -----------------------

I am checking in. I have been having computer problems, I believe I told Willtconq about this is chat. I am sorry for not being here, but while I am home this is the only computer i have access to, and when it goes down I can not contact you all. Please, put me on the semi-active list for about the next month until I get back up to college. I will try to post soon, but please don't penalize me for this.

I noticed that many of you bunch your posts and stuff together. SO, I would like all of you to go to a new line everytime a person speaks, and skip lines everytime you start at the begining of a line or paragraph. the way I do. One reason, it makes your posts alot easier to read and not as harsh to your eyes; and it simply makes your posts look longer  . Your teachers probably tell you to never skip lines, but, we're not in school. So please do that.
Russell, if you could break up your paragraphs a bit would be great.
Demonic, you just need to skip lines.
Cheatle, you need to do the first thing i mentioned, bring every new quote to a new line. -----------------------

Yeah, I write the way it is in novels (indent each new paragraph, no line in between). I tried spacing them out instead on a army post recently, and I was surprised by how much longer and easier to read it is. I'm going to do it from now on in my story posts. -----------------------

/me looks around, but didn't see anyone.
I must be imagining things.
Also, you guys need to put on your ID lines. please use ours as examples and refer to the Pilot Handbook if you have any difficulties.

Will and me. I can also add you to the roster once I'm satisfied. Now- just checkin up on Kaph I suppose: Will, I'll be expecting a report this week letting us know how many reports you received and the status of all your members. If they're on leave, let us know when they're comin back. And- did you get around to picking a flight 3 lead?
Kaph Squadorn- How do you guys think the story is coming? Do you like your characters and their interactions with those around them? Do you think you are posting suffiencietly and getting your point across? Discuss! 
My point is that you guys shouldn't be so bashful about the subject- talk to eachother and make plans. Team up and decide what your going to do... These stories are all about team work but at the same time they should remain very individual. Think about your characters and maybe specifically what it would look like- then feel like. Write those ideas down possible, and that gives you several things to write about every post. If you have any problems- write to your commanding officer of course. That's all I have for now. Keep rockin. -----------------------
