I just got one question:
Where did the VE tanks and walkers come from?
If I remember the situation correctly we were not going to get such things until after we secured the area so that a transport could come in and give us such things.
After all we had to come in on a yacht not a super tanker.
Then again it appears me and Raz were the only Wraiths to pay attention to the changed situation as well.
There's my rant.
If I'm wrong I'm wrong but that's what my memory tells me but then again that's been proven to be unreliable.
I'll run with it because there would be way too massive of a re-write at this point to correct such things. -----------------------

You came to Fresia on a Victory-class Star Destroyer. Seeing as you managed to hold the port area, it is not unreasonable to assume that dropships have not come in the interim with supplies, vehicles, whatnot. -----------------------

I think kuroishi would say that because when i asked...japer i think...if we could take any heavy equipment down he said no.
Oh well
btw we're currently holding the Docking bay. I would like to send the squad off to help Fury or to go and take out the anti-air system so we can land some troops.
Can we bring down some regulars or have someone else hold the docking bay?

I was just wondering shocktech how I got from the ship you landed to being with the whole group and pinned down by rebels? It doesn't matter I can say I went to help them out. I would guess that you're still on the temple thing, but that's upto Otto. I haven't been keeping tabs as well as I'd like because I keep having stuff come up that makes me need to go on leave. I know you were at that temple, I know Half my squad went to help you, I know the other half went to help the DD in a rebel ambush, TJ went to aid the Wraiths at the docks. Other than that, I know nothing more.

My plan bores even me. Someone try to end this mission without there being a Chrysalis beast or something equally obnoxious.
BTW, there are other islands and facilities folks. I think we managed to cover about 20 km by 40 km in well over a month's work. Shoddy work for shock troops. -----------------------

ats not veyr nice fury...look at what we had to do....
1) take out 3 ATAT's, and about a dozen ATPT's and atst's with out 1 walker squad
2) kill about 4,000 rebels with our 36
3) destroy a walker facility and a rebel base
4) somehign that has to do with a massassi temple, a race that existed halfway across the galaxy...
i wouldn't say its TOO bad...

ok, so this island is major, but even if it s thge planets major population center, it won't have more than 5%-10% of the population, and from what i've read, it isn't exactly a bustling metropolis. Why was there that concentration of troops there, when we had a nsneak attack, and why didn't we move to the next objective before they could react? That is what shock troops, especially elite one like us, are supposed to do. Drop a division of regulars to hold the city and we move to new territory. Someone needs to take a lead and push this story on.
Remember folks, the idea is to eliminate the production infrastructure of a planet, not entirely secure the place with one plattoon. -----------------------

No i have to say i was a little suprised when we started heading off and trying to take on an entire army rather than stick to the initial advice oh well.
I'm planning on sending my squad to take out the anti air equipment so we can land troops and make the rebels surrender,

I think that is a wonderful idea actually.
Yes, this whole grand strategy concept has gotten way out of hand. I mean, we're supposed to be stormtroopers. Strike hard and fast with overwhelming firepower, go around major obstacles and don't stay too long in one place.
If the regulars can make it to ground, this mission should be wrapped up soon.
Seriously, anything you can do to leapfrog around the battlefield...quick swoops, stolen airspeeder, Jedi mind tricks...plausible but plot moving is okay with me.
Then again, its not my comp to run. But no more freaking Massassi BS please. -----------------------

Good I wasn't the only one to make an issue of the Massassi temple.
Sure the architecture can be repeated so I decided to try and cut the person who posted it some slack in that regard, but I still get a little tired of the same plot developments in most of these comps and yes I'm guilty of that myself at times.
Some things to consider:
I may have been a poor TAC for the navy but when I had ideas they were rather intricate and detailed. I know the army has it's own TAC position.
If it is currently filled then the TAC should have been all over this story deciding what is and is not on this world.
If not then this situation is understandable. Give the troops a completely free hand and it starts getting ludricous. Once again I am also guilty of that crime.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that Rizzit has been trying to keep this as sensible as possible but can't do it by himself.
If I'm a bit out of line with this post go ahead and do what you must. -----------------------

Actually Kuroishi, I don't think you're out of line. In fact, if you would like: I would appreciate some input from you on how to get it back in line. What it all comes down to is no more or less than this:
We all had a well layed-out plan on how to handle this mission. Remember that? Ya, well then at the last minute plans we changed and we all were dispatched down to the planet to do whatever. There were no goals this time, so it has been EXTREMELY difficult to keep things from getting out of hand. It started headed in that direction from like post #10 I believe. Yes, I do agree that the massassi thing was a bit out of place seeing as there are few DarkJedi with us. However, that does not mean that there isn't a chance of it happening. However, if I do see another one: I will step in and ask it to be removed cause there is no reason for there to be two of them on this planet.
Anyways, you and me should set up a time to sit down and discuss this. I am always eager to hear my troopers' ideas and thoughts about things; and although I may have a plan on what I want to do, I will more than likely switch to someone else's idea if it seems to be a good idea. I have also had a hard time keeping up on this story due to my having to keep going on-and-off of leave. I am done with those spurts, but I'm having trouble figuring out what's going on. Fury gave me a bit of help last night, but if you could give me a bit more help: that'd be great. Please e-mail me as soon as you get a chance. Oh, and to any of you others that would like to get in on this session for ideas and such, you are welcome to do the same. Actually, I am thinking of trying to hold a WildCard meeting with all of the SLs/ASLs and all troopers that wish to attend as well (and of course the high command staff if they so choose). I need to see how things will work for that though. There will be more on that later though.
In the meantime, try and do the best you can. I should have a story layout for ya all soon, and then we can try to wrap this up. Oh, btw has anyone seen Japer? He hasn't been online or answering my e-mails. -----------------------

Rizzit in case you see this before my e-mail and some info I left out that'd prolly be helpfull(especially if you want to have the meeting I think it would be handy to have that information more readily accessable here).
I'm pretty much on-line monday-friday in the mornings with a break until afternoon and once in a while I get on in the evenings.
