yes its true, not only a shippack, a total conversion is in work.
Ships, bases, systems, everything will be changed into SW Style:
Free Worlds is a total conversion (TC) mod for Freelancer. Free Worlds will completely change all aspects of the Freelancer universe to resemble that of a certain "galaxy far, far away".

Earlier then i thought, the Alpha Version of the mod is relaised
"Woohoo! Finally. I've been waiting for this for a while now. It's an alpha of the currently in development total conversion of Star Wars! Grab the mod right here!
From glen and the rest of the Freeworlds TC team:
I think everyone will be pleased with the alpha although it is still very early in the conversion we want to get as much feedback along the way as we can.
A few things are quite different in the mod from Feelancer. For example, weapons are now faction oriented. Imperial weapons cannot be placed onto civilian vessels or republic ones and vica versa. The mod adds a whole new feel to the Freelancer experience so sit back in your cockpit crank the speakers up and indulge in some quality flying.

Ok so if freelancer has sw mods then what is the original freelancer?
Maybe this is why I cant find it, Im looking for the wrong thing. -----------------------
