Well, 3 said to find something to do (the commanders) while he's gone. I just got Freelancer 4 or 5 days ago and I've been hooked. Warmaker is helping me get used to multiplayer and soon I'll have a decent ship on our server. We've chosen one named "24/7 Prometheus NJ" and the ip is 68.39.156.9
When you create your character, make sure it has [VE] in front of it. An example is mine is going to be [VE]Talon as soon as I can transfer my credits over to PM so I can start over.
So that I know who is going to play, leave a message on this thread along with the nick you're going to use. That's not a request, it's an order. :P So far I've got myself and PM.

How can you all be hooked on that game? I watched sk8guy playing it and wasn't impressed at all. The old Wing Commander games were more fun than that.  -----------------------

a few reaons why Freelancer is a great Game:
1. its a flightsim!
2. a big universe which you can explore with never ending
missions
3. MP a totall new way to play MP, group up in teams, escort a freighter on its dangerous run trough the systems, trade by yourself, team up to complett Missions ...
4. have i mentiond yet that the MP is great? i found not much games in which i have enough time to chat a bit and to smoke till i play. now isnt that a damn good reason?
as Talon posted, those with it, get on our Server, if you have allready a acount somewhere and dont want to start from the beginning again, dont worry contact me and i help you out with start credits, thats the team effort, we share our money to help our members out -----------------------

Hmmm ... I haven't seen the multiplayer in action. Maybe that saves it.

How good does your comp have to be
And can it run resonably well with a 56k modem in the MP missions -----------------------

As soon as I find the disk, I'll have it up and running. I am assuming that if Tal can play, it will run just fine on a 56K. I miss my T1.... Anyway, I'll be joining you guys soon as I find the disk. -----------------------

and yes you can run it with 56k, and wyd, get a new comp :P

When I try to connect to a multiplayer game, it says 'connecting to server' and just stays like that so I can never play any . -----------------------

Corran, go to your router manufacturers website and update your firmware. Then, look for a FAQ section or something similiar. Look for information on how to connect outside the firewall built in to the router. |
