Just got back from something of a rest cure up in Tokeland WA. A nice, healthy three days it was too. Sleeping regularly for once, three good square meals a day instead of my usual awful eating practices, precious few distractions (read: virtually nothing to do), a chance to get in some shooting (and if I do say so myself I am one mean shot with a .357) and, more to the point, plenty of time to work on VIN without interuption or distraction.
What this means is that episodes 17, 18 and 19 of Varneck Inheritor Nergal are DONE! 17 has been posted already. 18 goes up next week, and 19 goes up the week after.
You know, its kinda wierd, but it actually looks like we are nearing the end of this little project. That means it will be time soon to start thinking about another writing project... Hmm.... -----------------------

Aw, it'll be sad to see the Nergal go, you guys have done pretty well to make it interesting and psychotic so far 
BTW, I'm a better shot than you are with a 7.62 mm Enfield five shot rifle  -----------------------

I for one go for busted computer parts. I'm also not too big on rifles myself. I'm more a pistol kind of guy.
I've got part of a floppy drive with three good sized dents in it (tough little bugger could sort of handle shots from a handgun) hanging over the obstinant third computer in my network. Sorta an idle threat to it to keep working or suffer its floppy drive's fate  -----------------------

Isn't that abuse against computers or something. Be carefull don't insult a Computer on a network, because then they all stop working, and annoying you. -----------------------

In my case, the third computer on my network (an older compaq) must learn its place. My network has no place for primadona prebuilts with delusions of adequacy. Its spirit will be broken, it will serve me, or it will be eliminated.
Whoa, I wonder if this is a sign of my unabiding dislike for prebuilt computers or of my latent megalomania?
Oh yeah, about VIN, episode 18 is up. Also, I have no intention of ever setting up a site for the series, for a variety of reasons. -----------------------
