Anyways, this is gonna sound really vague, and it's supposed to be. Or maybe it won't be incredibly vague and some of you can read between the lines. I don't know yet as I haven't written what I meant to say.
Basically, in a show of hands or something, am I doing even a half credible job here in the VE? I mean, I am now Prefect and the store has been a lot of fun for me for the first time in a long time, but I rarely get a real view of what I am doing here or if it benefits any of you.
And no, I am not looking for "at-a-boys" or anything. Let me explain.
When I joined the VE, there were some people, three in particular, who made it difficult for myself and many others to be comfortable. Thankfully, they retired though they never really went away.
A week or so ago I asked why one of them still had a lot of influence. This led to some sort of brouhaha which I am still unsure about which got outside of the VE.
Yesterday, I get "warned" by the founder of this club. Which is fine as he was talking out of his ass. Any of you who have spent time around me know that if I have a problem I just deal with it directly. I don't have the time or patience for any of this amateur "intelligence" BS that some people seem to get their rock-hards from.
Today I find out that other clubs are being asked about me and what they think of me.
Basically, someone is trying to mess with the way I do things. Someone is letting them do so. Others are encouraging to do so. And not one of these side shows wanna-bes are man enough to confront me about it.
Why?
One. There probably isn't a shred of truth to the slander they are giving. They just don't like me for whatever reason.
Two. Pardon my French, but they are probably punk bitches.
I just want to know if any of you think its worth the trouble for me to even stay and put up with this BS. I mean, if you were in the same situation, would you just let the damn club go off and rot with such crap going on behind the scenes?

Well, here are my thoughts on how you do your job, I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but here goes:
Imp Center: Don't even need to worry
Army Stuff:
Competitions: None really, prolly could use more of these more often
Stories: They are good and it is easier to make people more active through them. I like the idea of constantly having stories to write in.
Overall: You listen to people well, no matter what their rank, about issues that they have concerns about. Right here is a good example of this.
Why are people slandering you?
I wish I knew, as far as I can see you do a pretty darn good job, except for a little scuffle I heard about a while back concerning some stuff that I prolly shouldn't put here unless nobody mines.
The people/clubs "slandering" or whatever else you (bad grammar, sorry):
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn. It almost doesn't matter what they say about you because anyone here in the army truly knows how good or bad of a job you do. Yea, I guess you do a good job. I don't really have anything to compare this with, but considering the fact that people are juggling VE with work and/or school and other obligations, you must be doing something to make it interesting.
Overall I think you do a good job, those people that are "slandering" you probably should get a better idea of how you run your division and who you really are. You seem like a nice enough guy and someone who listens well to their subordinates. That's all I have. Sorry if this was a bit like a ramble. -----------------------

Well, with all of the info spread out in front of me, the result is that you are doing well. Increasing activity is the goal of everyone's job around here, and you've done that. I see no need why you need to second guess your progress.
As for these little people running around behind the scenes, all I can say is: concentrate on your own business. -----------------------

Fury, i see no deficits in your "way" of doing things, you're a great leader, and you are able to multitask well. I see hardly any times when i ask something of you and it's done better than i could have expected. or quicker, in the case of a few. If you were to leave the VE, a large part of our command structure would ahve to be forged anew, and NO ONE wants to see that. so basically stay and let those "punk bitches" do what they do best....whine and moan and try to get some real authority. -----------------------

First of all, I am surprised to see that this is being said. I think you're doing a great job at prefect. You can tell the person that said all that stuff to you to just "shove it!". As for the other clubs: Why should that bother you? Only you and the troopers under your command know how things are run. The other clubs just look/listen to what other people say. Talk is cheap, just ignore it. If it was someone else, it wouldn't be such a big deal. It's probably just because you have a higher-up position that this is going on. If you want proof of how much you belong in the VE, I will give it to you: 1. You're always available everytime that I or anyone else need guidance or help. 2. Like liquid said, you are able to multi-task well. 3. For someone who has just started as Prefect, you have done an outstanding job as far as getting work done goes. You've just started out, I think you're doing a fine job. Do you have any doubts of your own job? That's what I think this is all boiling down to. If that is the case, everything that these imbecils are saying will appear to be true in your mind. If you are happy with your job, and satisfied in your own mind with the job you are doing, then you will come to realize that you're doing a fine job. I hope you come to realize this, and that everyone here supports you in whatever you do. -----------------------

see, Fury, so far from some of the best and most active members in the VE you have gotten good reviews. Nobody else has really spoken out against you. I do not expect that any really good member of the VE would be able to seeing as how you do your job so well. In the case that there is someone against you within this division or another, I am sure that they are talking against you merely because they are inactive enough to realize how well this division is starting to go or they are ignorant enough to believe that someone could do your job much better.

Fury, you've done alot for the army here in Vast Empire. You've done a better job then we could have ever done in your place.
Regarding the stuff going on in a 'certain high place', its nonsense. People rub up to 'certain people' and attempt to swindle the situation in their favor. I know this thing is hard on you, heck I feel your pain  , but just ignore the buracracy that goes on up there in that glass building with the carpets and gold trim. Politics really gets in the way.

Fury, don't worry too much what the Beaurocrats say about you, the entire Army will back you up if they try to do anything to you 
Besides, one of the swinging factors that convinced me to rejoin was the fact that you were Prefect, it definitely made a positive mark on my list

Fury I remember you alluded to a problem about two weeks ago. For one I am somewhat surprised to see that there is such conflict on the VE CS.
However, I have absolutely no respect for ANYONE who decides to slander the work you do for VE and the army. "Punk bitches" like that dont even deserve the time of day. You are one of the best assets to VE, I sure as hell dont want to see you gone anytime soon. The way you run the army is excellent, as Swomz stated, there are always improvements to be made but damn, you do a damn good job. |

Fury, not to discredit anyone else and the job they are doing, I see you doing more work than anyone else in the ve really. You're in charge of the army and you run the center store, quite well I might add. Also you're a good guy, someone we can joke around with on IRC and whatnot. As far as I'm concerned that's more important than the way things are being run. I know I wouldn't be here if there weren't people I liked to talk to. Nobody want's to be bossed around by some stuck up schmuck. Like everyone else has said, don't worry about what people are saying about you if they're not saying it to your face. Also if you're forced to leave for any buerocratic reasons I would have no qualms with leaving the army. I hate punk bitches like that. At any rate you're doing a great job as far as I'm concerned so just keep it up.
