Mission Outline - Eriadu I.  Situation        A.  Enemy Forces                  (1)    Situation                 a.    Enemy Forces                         2 Platoons NR Spec Ops Urban Specialists                         3 Companies Militia (Mech Infantry)                         1 Regiment Police Force (lightly-armed)                         4 Platoon Armor (16 repulsortanks w/20 armed troop carriers)                 b.    Weather                         Aside from the pollution and cooler temperatures, weather should not be at an extreme from the standard human planetary pattern                 c.    Terrain                         Most operations will occur in a heavily built-up urban environment                 (2)    Capabilities     Coverage of city center, including government plaza and diplomatic areas; also protection of civilian section of spaceport                    (3)    Probable course of action     As other forces are dedicated to defending the rest of the planet, these will be primarily the front line forces protecting the government command center and other potential strongholds.        B.  Friendly Forces                    (1)    Mission of allied units Contact with Eriadu forces are through the former Imperial ambassador Dal Kraas.  In  no way are you under the command of any forces on Eriadu, though heeding their warnings and assisting their goals may be advantageous.         Consider all objectives other than those designated below as extraneous.               (2)    Mission of adjacent units All independence forces will be either engaging a holding front or active confrontation against NR-aligned forces.  This should pin down both groups and prevent any reinforcements in any direction.                   (3)  Mission and location of supporting elements            Supporting elements come in the form of two squads of pathfinders to help the team(s) navigate around the city. Additional support comes via three planetary shuttlecraft; two of which are attached to the orbital shipyard facilities in orbit.  As the military section of the spaceport is off-limits to even VE personnel, you will have to gain access/egress from the planet via a factory satellite.         C.  Attachments Orbital view of Eriadu Map of Eriadu City II.  Mission.  Who, what, when, why, where     Upon arrival to the orbital shipyard Tarkin IV, you will be met by a representative of Ambassador Dal Kraas.  Kraas is the person who requested support from the Vast Empire to evaluate the defenses against the independence forces and to serve as a neutral voice to the chances of success on the planet.  Kraas’ role appears to be two-fold.  One, he is actively working to keep a world he has grown to love free of the New Republic.  Two, he appears to be next in line for a local governorship should the NR-aligned forces lose the conflict.     In no way, should the second option factor in when evaluating the resources needed to win the campaign on Eriadu.  Also remember that the local star systems formerly under Eriadu’s control would not favorably look upon a powerful central government.  Basically, do not make any promises you cannot keep. Your stated goals: -    Provide an internal investigation of the forces under Kraas’ command and recommend any necessary training, rearmament, and material needs -    Provide a threat assessment of the enemy arrayed against Kraas and his forces.  Do not skimp on the details or realistic chance of success/failure -    Do NOT become active participants in combat if you can help it Your Vast Empire proposed orders: -    Assist Kraas with his requests to the letter of the agreement and not a step further -    Intelligence’s assessment is that win or lose, the planet of Eriadu would eventually fall under the New Republic’s sway.  The only true way to weaken the region is to find a way to escalate the conflict so that the NR and Kraas will have to find more resources to fuel the fighting.  Be that either by active NR/Imperial Remnant reinforcements or by mercenary proxy is not a concern.  Find a way to maintain the division, but escalate the crisis into a full conflict. -    Rumor has it that the plans for the latest Imperial close defense fighter are currently onboard one of the orbital shipyards.  Consider it imperative to either obtain those plans without being noticed or altering the data completely. -    Many keys NR field personnel have been noticed as frequenting this planet.  Both the NR and Remnant consider Eriadu to be a strategic piece of the galactic puzzle.  Should word come in of the presence of a key personage, extrication/elimination techniques are authorized.  Command will advise should this occur. III.  Execution    A.  Concept of operation        Scheme of maneuver                  (a)  Formation – for conduct of operations planetside, use best judgment to achieve goals; other targets of opportunity as made available            (b)  Route – to be determined by local command                  (c)  Tactical mission to subordinate units  - split goals according to best use by squad      B.  Coordinating  instructions     – to be determined by squad leaders            IV.  Service support    A.  Supply            (1)  Rations – aside from provisions onboard Scythe, plan on 1-2 weeks carried field rations          (2)  Uniform and equipment – as situation dictates; however Imperial-issue armor is not a recommended choice. Plan on carrying conventional commercial armor kits          (3)  Arms and ammunition – to be determined by squad leaders        (4)  Captured material - to be determined by squad leaders  B.  Transportation  – to be determined by local allies                C.  Medical evacuation – to be determined by squad leaders; there is an independent medical    facility in Dorvalla easily reached by light freighter/transport  D.  Personnel     Wraith squad, Jester squad    E.  Prisoners of war – at exception of important dignitaries, will be turned over to local forces V.  Command and signal    A.  Signal - use if needed; if not, disregard        (1)  Frequencies and call signs            (2)  Challenge and password            (3)  Code words    B.  Command            (1)  Commander leader location            (2)  Chain of Command – en masse, SGM Raziel; operationally, each squad leader will function independently

Raziel looked around at his squad and smiled. It had been far too long since he had taken his squad into battle. Training was becoming repetative despite attempts to throw various challenging tasks at them.     The training had benefitted several of the members; Narroc and Lukas Yuy were now good sharpshooters, Arkanian had learnt how to use the big guns and Grizzly had somehow become a field medic.     He knew that Kuroishi had a good deal of experience behind him, the squad would need it after this time from combat.     "Ok men, i hope you're all looking forward to this. I hope this is going to be a most interesting excersice. I trust you all not to give away any of our agenda's that Kraas shouldnt know about.     "If he found out we're going to push him into a full blown conflict he wouldn't be too happy with us i'm sure!     "Anyway, as none of you have as yet proven worthy Kuroishi is acting 2IC for the mission. If i'm not there you listen to him."     Kuroishi's lips curled up ever so slightly and nodded back to Raziel.     "Ok we don't want any blatant imperial kit, but we should be ok. I'm sure we'll get away with the ESPO's. but the commando armour might give us away. So basically this is open house in terms of equipment.     "I'll try and sort us out with some good recon gear, I'm sure the Jesters as Reconnaissance know where to get some. I'll start of by writing off some probe droids," Raziel smiled.     "We get to pick our weapons?" Arkanian asked eagerly.     "Well, maybe. Before we start making any plans i want everyone to report in and give me a list of what they want to take. Which i will of course laugh at and then re-equip you. Remember we're going for the casual look this season." (Ok Wraiths. Report for duty!)

Kuroishi looked at his Varneck Marine Combat Armor, even that these days was becoming too recognizable by a variety of forces. "Basicly the key is to pack weapons that you can get new clips for off as many dead soldiers as possible.  Though I do favor a slug thrower sniper rifle, a good blaster will still let you carry a lot more reloads into battle.  Just remember what they taught you in basic and that we're playing both sides against the middle."  Kuroishi said to a few of the lingering new additions to the squad before going to fill his own bag of tricks. Kuroishi walked to his new quarters.  It was actually a bit larger then his berth on the CRV Sweetums, though he still needed to keep some of his stuff onboard and on the Royal Barkalounger. Kuroishi grabbed a pair of DL-44 blaster pistols, three E-11 blasters, twenty smoke and twenty fragmentary grenades, and on top placed his preffered incognito armor. Kuroishi grabbed another duffle bag and placed four utility knives, two entrenching tools, his large tool box, fourty kilograms of "door openers", next was his latest addition to his slug thrower rifle collection, a Gimba Arms Fk-17 rifle with flash and sound suppression, sixty blaster clips, and ten rifle clips. "Interesting selections."  Raziel broke the quiet. "I can't pack my favorite sniper weapon as it attracts too much attention from the wrong people.  Hopefully this supposed 'ally' of ours has cleared our way through customs like he's supposed to done or this is one short trip for all of us."  Kuroishi replied. "You've been doing this a lot longer then most of us in this squad.  The newer members are going to be looking to both of us for help when they need it.  Do you think you can keep your ussual style under control well enough that we won't have a whole division dedicated to hunting us down?"  Raziel went on. "Not that it would be a problem if they did but yes I can keep a low profile for now."  Kuroishi grinned.

Raziel spent the next hour preparing for the mission. He had already packed a huge variety of knives.     He handed Kuroishi one of the knives he had brought.     "It feels strange," he remarked as he ran his hand down the black blade.     "Organoplastic," Raziel smiled. "No matter what happens these'll get through customs as long as they're close to my skin.     "Hmm nice, i think they'll be on my shopping list next time" He carried on packing explosives.     He looked to his squad who were staring back at him blankly.     "You might want to do something?" he asked "And where are Jester squad?"

Grizzly rubbed his hands together, then did his best to stand at attention. The room he was standing in, an office in the Medical Academy, was absolutely freezing. The heating had been flickering on and off all day, and obviously this room had not had anything like its fair share. A large, impossibly hairy man of indeterminable age was sitting, back straight, behind the desk in front of him. He was obviously not feeling the cold at all - in fact, his jacket was slung over the chair whilst he sat with his arms bare. He had the insignia of a Major, but several badges Grizzly did not even recognise - but he knew his profession. He was a Doctor; as Grizzly was now a Field Medic. "Well, Corporal, you've passed. You're a Field Medic now. Congratulations." "Thank you, Doctor." Grizzly replied, his stomach suddenly warming with the pride. "Yes, yes.. Don't get too comfortable. Theres a pretty dodgy political situation round here right now.. theres armed police all over the place, and irregulars. I don't know whats going on, but perhaps this will help." He passed up a scrappy piece of paper, which Grizzly accepted and read. 'CPL Grizzly: Report to the Squad ASAP. No Imperial Armour. Light weapons. Medical equipment. Bring list of equipment needed. SGM Raziel.' Grizzly frowned. It was a vague message, but it was obviously the best he would get. He had been in the Academy for about a month now, training his medical skills to become a full Medic. He had hardly seen his squadmates, but was looking forward to terrifying them with his gear. Now he would get his chance. "Good news?" The Doctor asked, looking up from starting to grade a medical exam. "Yes, sir. I'll be leaving the Academy at once sir." "Well, good luck. Do us proud.." The Doctor replied. His tone almost suggested that Grizzly would not even get a chance to do him proud. "Thank you sir." Grizzly gave him a sharp salute, turned round, and walked out of the room - grinning all the way. ----- TIME: A few hours later, after a couple of celebratory drinks. Grizzly stumbled into the barracks, a bottle of ale in his hand. He chuckled as he almost tripped over an imaginery wookie, and, after composing himself, walked into the main parade hall. He was met by the entire squad standing, amid piles of gear, with Raziel glaring at him. Several Raziels, in fact. Each with two heads. "Corporal, are you drunk?" he asked innocently and kindly. "Yesh Sarge, *hic* I fink I might beeeee!" Grizzly replied, then stumbled over, falling on to his side. He did not spill a drop from his bottle, so took a long swig. "I suppose you deserve it.. You're a medic now?" "Yesh Sarge! Corpwal Gwizzly weporting! Field Mediccc! *hic* At your servish!" Raziel shook his head and looked at Grizzly, sprawled on the floor. He tutted, and asked for the equipment list. "Yesh Sarge! Here!" Grizzly handed up a grubby list which he had obviously written whilst deeply intoxicated. 1) dithpe dispher dispersal thingys 2) gas mths gas masks 3) three mudbutton appfichotslicators 4) asr assorted mid medication 5) blasterpistollls Raziel sighed and shook his head once more. "Grizzly, this is a disgrace. The applicators, fine. The assorted medication, fine. The dithpe.. eh? Oh, dispersal containers. Why would we need them?!" "Err.. to throw away.. appli *hic* cators!" "Righttt... and gas masks?" "In cashe of gath!!!" Grizzly replied, laughing and swigging his bottle. "Righttt... Oh, for gods sake. Get me some medbutton applicators and an Advanced Medication Kit. And a couple of pistols for him perhaps.. And we can decide the rest later." Kuroishi grinned. "Shall I sober him up, Sarge?" "Yeh, you do that. But don't be too rough!" Raziel gave him a wink and pocketed Grizzlys list. Kuroishi's grin widened as he picked up Grizzly and took him outside - for a good old fashioned Wraith Squad Hangover cure.   ----------------------- TRP/CPL Grizzly/4SQD/1PLT/1COMP/1BAT/1REG/Lorn IV/VEA

Kiption woke up.  He stretched, yawned, and made his way slowly over to his desk.  It had been a while since he had a decent night sleep,  things just weren't the same as he had remembered them being.  'It's always different,' he told himself and flipped on the monitor to his terminal.  Flashing notification of a message that had arrived for him.  Yay.  Didn't seem like it could be that important, it only arrived 10 minutes ago.  He discarded it and walked around the desk and slapped the panel for the overhead lights.  His eyes readjusted slowly, blurs of color flooded his vision as he made his way to where he had left his clothes.  He got dressed, ran his fingers through his hair and went back to the display.  A mission. He scrolled through the pages of documentation that had accompanied the brief.  Pages and pages of the same monotonous dribble over the people that there were in the world.  They all seemed the same.  It'd be nice for once if people realized how similar they all were and just got along for once. 'Fat chance.'  He downloaded the information into one of his data cylindars, applied his own encryption key, and started packing some gear.  'Should prolly wake the others.'  He walked out of his private quarters and saw that they were all awake.  'Oh yea, it is the afternoon.'  "Gather up some small arms," turning to Tylen, "No explosives." "But...," Tylen started. "No explosives.  Gather up some gear and lets go."

"No." "Please?" "No." A First Sergeant with his foot in a bacta cast whined, "C'mon, man." A sigh came from the other room.  "No means nothing but no." replied Stitch as he came back into the partition of the emergency room.  A broken ankle was by no means an emergency, but for now, things were going slow.  "I refuse to give you meds you don't need.  Go find a smuggler for that."  He returned his attention to the chart imposed on the datapad's screen that he cradled in one arm as he tapped away, updating the information. The man in the cast planted a fist into the hard cushioning of the bed he was sitting on.  He brought his splinted leg off of the foot of the bed and hopped off.  He landed with a wince.  Without a word, he left the room and worked his way to the front desk. A buzz at his comm-link brought Stitch's attention from the datapad.  He brought the small cylinder from his jacket pocket and brought it close to his mouth as he flicked the activation switch.  "Lance Corporal Daevra." The reception was less than perfect, but the voice of Kiption was unmistakable.  "Stitch, it's your almighty Squad Leader.  Move your ass on down to the barracks.  I'm tired of having to look in the infirmary whenever we have a mission." Stitch smirked and replied, "You've got it, Sarge.  I just need to sign out.  I'll be there in 15."  Without waiting for a complaint over the delay, Stitch deactivated his comm-link and stowed it back in his long white jacket.
Stitch ran his fingers through his long hair.  Long for military standards.  He had fudged a medical order to let his hair grow.  It took some tap dancing, but he was able to keep his preferred style.  With his hair falling in his eyes, wire rimmed glasses, and long white jacket; Stitch had perfected the look of a young doctor.  'Super-Geek' Sokudo preferred to call it. Augustus was explaining the advantages of two pistols that looked the same to Stitch.  He tried to follow, but ended up just faking it.  "...The heat this thing gives off per round is too high for it to be practical.  Stick to this." he finally finished as he handed Stitch the one in his left hand. Stitch nodded and looked at the blaster closely.  He knew less about weapons than he did what women really wanted.  He wasn't sure which fact was more disturbing. Without voicing his concerns, he holstered the weapon and picked his bag up from the bunk next to him.  Inside was a myriad of medicines and equipment.  He could patch all of Jester squad together a number of times before needing to restock...  Or so he hoped.  He also hoped he wouldn't have to find out.

Yun was lying in his bed when suddenly he heard men laughing outside and Grizzly yelling.  Yun got up and ran outside to see what the hell was going on.  Outside Kuroishi was dunking Grizzly's head repeatedly into a bucket of freezing water.  Yun laughed as well and watched for about 10 more dunks until Raziel walked out and told Kuroishi to stop dunking Grizzly.  "Grizzly!" Raziel said in a soothing but harsh voice, "*hicup* yezzzzzzzzzziiiiirrrrr" "Go run 10 miles right now GO GO GO!" Grizzly gave him a weird look his glazed eyes than took off on his run.  They all chuckled for a moment than Yun turned to Raziel and Kuroishi "So what are we doing today, sir? Another run through the combat simulator or are we going to go through the explosives drill?" "None of the above" Kuroishi replied and threw Yun the outline for the mission.  "Are you serious!?! HQ have actually noticed what we can do?" "yup" was Raziel's reply.  Than without a word Yun took off towards his barracks. A few hours later Yun was in the armory taking everything he thought he might need.  He grabbed a few combat knvies, a standard Stormtrooper blaster, and just incase he brought his brass knuckles for close combat fighting.  Although he was nervous Yun saw this as his time to shine and show Raziel what he could do in combat.

'Well, that was a relief.'  At least Kiption didn't have to walk his way down to the infirmary to go grab his medic.  'Damn hospitals.'  He threw some cylindars into his pack, making sure not to scratch up his slicing tools.  He made one last look around; seeing nothing important, he left.  He made his way down to the shuttle that would take them up to the Corvette.  He got to the door to the hanger, the sounds from inside already loud enough to breach the door into the corridor.  He sat down and waited for the rest of his squad to show up.

Stitch could barely hear his own footsteps as he neared the entrance to the hangar.  He could see Kiption ahead of him, sitting on a bench.  All of Jester had gotten a message to meet him there when they were ready.  The last that Stitch had seen of Tylen, he was still saying good-bye too his explosives.  Augustus was still taking his time picking out a blaster.  Dragoon... well, Stitch didn't even want to know.  He did know that Sokudo was a few minutes behind him and on the way. Stitch dropped his bag next to the bench and flopped onto it next to Kiption.  "Nervous, Sarge?" Kiption glanced at Stitch before returning to his staring at the seam of the plates that made up the wall.  "Does it look like I am, Lance Corporal?" he replied coldly. "Err.. No, Sarge.  Just making friendly conversation." he answered as quickly as he could force it out of his mouth.  He opted now just to wait in silence.  He brought a smooth stone from his pocket and rubbed his thumb into the top of it where there was a deep groove worn into it.  Generations of Daevra's had used this stone as a nervous habit.

"I guess it's better than rubbing other stones in your pocket."  Kiption chuckled to himself. Stitch looked up, "Huh?" "Nothing.  The others are here."  Sokudo slightly ahead of the others, but one could hear them slowly making their way down the long corridor.  Listening close enough, the slight blubbering of Tylen missing his explosives could be heard; or maybe it was just the sounds of machinery from the hallway.  Kiption stood up and glared at Stitch till he followed suit.  He waited for the others to show up before he gave his little speach. "Now, I'm not exactly sure what Raz has up his sleeve for his guys, but this is what we're doing.  You will not lose control over your actions.  You will not go following some stupid idiotic idea, and you will do exactly what I say.  Regardless of how the members of Wraith act, you will not lower yourself from where I've set you." "Are you saying this to try and get revenge for how we suckered you into that fight with the..."  Dragoon started. "No, I'm saying this cause I don't particularly care for the people we're going to help, or some of the people we're gonna be working with.  I will not tolerate stupid actions.  Now let's go."  Kiption turned and led his men through the door and into the hanger where Razial and his men should have been. "Great, they're not hear yet."  Kiption smiled.  "I got shotgun...." and he ran up into the shuttle.

***Few minutes before Kiption's last post*** "God damnit" Tylen moaned as we walked into his room.  "Who does he think he is, taking my babies away from me..."  Tylen started to unpack his termal detonators.  Calling their names out as he put them into thier own nice red velvet lined boxes.  He started to walk out of his room when he caught a glance at a shiney silver box on his night stand... hmmmm, he thought to himself...  He walked over to it and opened the small box.  Staring at him were two chrome zen looking balls.  He pick up the two balls, the small red and green lights started flashing by his touch and quickly turned off, and he stashed them into one of his pouches on his belt, attached his saber and headed to the door to join the others. "I actually hope not to have to use either of my duffle bags because that will mean we've failed our mission goals, but if we do get into trouble I still want to be able to get out of it alive.  All it would take is one bad run in with an eney APC and we could all be in a world of hurt.  I wish I had GUESSWORK with me on this one but they're off helping my otherself track down a supposed new pirate band."  Kuroishi chatted with Yun as the two waited in the hanger for the rest of Wraith to show up. "Spreading more stories about your 'legendary' troop and ship movement and data analasys unit.  Next you're going to say they know where the 5th NR Commando Division is hiding out these days."  Raziel interupted the conversation. "They're only limited by the information they have on file."  Kuroishi replied in equal jest. Many of the other members of Wraith were still gathering thier equipement for the upcoming mission but should be along quickly enough. "So have you though of how to get that stuff through customs if everything doesn't go as planned?"  Raziel chided as he nudged one of Kuroishi's duffle bags. "Yup.  Managed to have my otherself and a few of our mutual contacts cook up this for me.  It esscentially gives me a buiseness license to sell pretty much any kind of tool or weapon in the entire sector of where we're going until they figure out that there is no such company as I'm supposed to work for.  It ain't much but it should get me through unscathed.  If things go as planned I shouldn't need it though."  Kuroishi replied as he held up a datacard. "We both know where that can get you."  Raziel replied crypticly. Now all that remained was for the rest of the two squads to show up and the operation could get underway.

Waiting... Augustus wasn't very fond of waiting. He hadn't joined the Corps to wait for things to happen. Luckily, the waiting was almost over. The Jesters were gathered, waiting on the Wraiths to finish arriving. For his part, Augustus was practicing his gun twirling. In actual combat it was not his custom to be particularly flashy: Draw, shoot. Shoot more, wait, shoot a bit more, and then maybe, maybe, stop. When they weren't in a combat area though, looks counted. Being flashy was being cool, and Augustus through that it probably had a good chance at attracting the ladies. Most of the rest of them disagreed with him. But that was ok, he knew they were wrong. He spun his pistol three times around foward, twice around backwards, tossed it up, caught it with his other hand and spun it into an empty holster. Somewhere behind him someone started talking, "Could you," the annoyed voice began, "not throw guns around when we're actually... you know, inside the shuttle?" Augustus turned to see Sokudo sitting on the floor against one of the walls, a datapad of the type commonly used to store fiction in his hands. "Geh," Augustus replied. "I'm just bored." He turned on sauntered out of the shuttle, to practice away from those who didn't appreciate the skill involved.

Raziel looked to Kiption, then back at the squad. Everyone of them was smiling, or grinning. Except for Grizzly, he didn't really know what the hell he was doing.     "Ok i didnt get many weapon requests so take whatever you want that hasn't got 'VE' in big letters down the side. Although we don't really want to walk in for a recon mission with six tonnes of explosives we're going to take some basic ingredients to put something together. Hell we're there to start a war.     "Ok for now you just play along. Kraas is, as far as you are concerned, an ally. We will play along nicely, assess what he's got, assess what the repulicans have going for them and knock up a report. However, do not under any circumstances accept any orders from Kraas without consulting me. We don't know if he has any hidden agendas as well."     "So we havent got anything else planned out yet?" Asked Bronx     "No not as yet, we'll discuss that after we've seen what they're both armed like and what their defences are like."     "Ok lets get loaded up onto the scythe." (where is the rest of my squad? *evil glare*)

"Cripes.  When are these guys going to get their acts together?" mumbled Tylen as he watched Wraith squad check, recheck, and triple check their equipment.  It seemed the more they checked it, the more they added to it.  It didn't take long for a mound to start forming with a few explosives and a good deal of heavy blasters. Stitch finally broke out of his daydream that had locked him away from reality for some time.  He saw the mound and nudged Kiption, who was sitting next to him.  "Hey, umm.. Didn't General Fury say nothing big?" he asked quietly. Kiption nodded and replied just as quietly, "Yeah, I was just waiting to hear someone else say it so I can blame it on them if Wraith gets their armor in a bunch."  He brought a comm-link from the breast pocket of his shirt and whispered into it so quietly that even Stitch couldn't hear. Not ten minutes later, four Lieutenants that looked more like commandos than officers came from nowhere and snatched the heavy weapons.  They stopped long enough to rip the brick of plastique from its hiding place in the small of Kuroishi's back, behind his armor.  As quickly as they had appeared, they were gone.  Raziel's comm buzzed and he stepped away from his squad to answer it. Before activating it, Raziel turned the volume down so that he would have to strain to hear it.  "Sergeant Major Raziel." he said quietly. "Raziel, it's Fury.  I know you heard my orders for no heavy toys.  I made sure I had eye contact with both you and Kiption when I said it.  I meant it.  We are to keep a low profile.  No standard equipment for Stormtroopers and nothing that can tear a man in half in a few shots.  Clear?" Fury not asked, but ordered, in a less than cheerful mood. Raziel swallowed hard before replying.  "Crystal, General." Fury's tone didn't change as he snapped, "Good.  Fury, out."  A slight click over the comm indicated that the connection had been cut.  Raziel stowed the comm again and returned to his group, trying to hide the sheepish look on his face. (OOC: Or was Jester the only ones to notice that...?)

Yun was the last to sit down as he repeatidly checked his equipment, he had given up when about half the people on the shuttle were yellin at him.  As soon as he had sat down he strapped himself incase it turned out to be a bumpy ride.  The shuttle began to rumble and than the sudden feeling of being off the ground overcame Yun.  It had been awhile since he had flown, the last time was when the squad went off planet for training purposes.  No one was talking except Grizzly who was still a bit drunk and was mumbling to an extent about anything and everything.  The two squads looked diffrent to Yun and he couldnt think if that was a good thing or if this would be something to affect there partnership during this mission.  Yun tried to push all of his bad thoughts out of his head and just relax.  Yun turned to Raziel, Raziel looked and Yun and gave him a grin and said "God it feels good to get back into action"  Yun smiled back and chuckled and than sat back andfell deep into thought. (Are we on the corvette or on the first shuttle i didnt know so i tried to keep to one setting so I wouldnt mess up the story so this was probably pretty boring

[Fine if I have to leve behind the premade door openers I'll just have to improvise, I'll even let the frag grenades go but can I at least keep the smoke grenades?(no big deal if I can't I can even improvise that but I'd rather not)] Kuroishi didn't like the idea of starting a war with nothing more then a few blasters, a decent sniper rifle, and a suit of heavy commercial armor.  At least he still had his tool kit as well. "I'll be right back."  Kuroishi said as he dissappeared from everyone's view. Kuroishi reappered with another duffle bag carefully closed. "Allright what's in there."  Kiption grilled Kuroishi. "Nothing heavy I promise.  I may be many things but I've always have done a decent job of keeping my word.  I just don't feel like dying when we meet an APC determined to kill us and we don't have anything more then blasters to keep ourselves alive.  It'll even get through customs without incident."  Kuroishi replied. Kiption not buying it opened the duffle bag only to find common house hold items and ration packs.  Sifting further Kiption could not find any explosives, heavy automatic rifles, not even anything more then the standard industrial torch in Kuroishi's tool kit. "I expected as much, but you see nothing that will even peek the interest of a custom's officer.  A run of the mill tool kit, blasters that are commonly found in the area and are legal by the planets weapons codes, armor that is also perfectly legal, and a sniper rifle that I haven't even tried in combat yet but should still provide decent penetration against most personal armor, I hope."  Kuroishi grinned bak repacking his dufflebag. Kuroishi just sat back and waited soon one way or the other the mission would have to get underway soon even if not all of Wraith was present.

"Ahh good, so you brought the cleaning supplies.  Since you obvioulsy thought ahead that the bathroom was gonna be a mess, why don't you put yourself and these to good use and go clean it."  Kiption made a point of being as loud as possible.  "And do be a doll, and hurry back.  I think Yun over there is gonna puke in a bit."  Kuroishi stared at him.  "I don't think I was kidding," Kiption said, "It should keep you out of trouble during this shuttle ride as well as all the cleaning I'll have you doing once we're on the corvette."  Kuroishi walked off paying Kiption no mind what so ever.  'Should prolly make a note to make sure that he stays as far form me as possible.  Before I actually make him go scrub the ships clean,' Kip thought to himself.  They docked with the corvette and transferred their gear over.  The Jesters were done as soon as they walked off the shuttle, but for some reason that Wraiths had to make multiple trips.  'Just means we get to pick the good quarters.'  Kiption marched his men down the corridors of the Corvette and into their quarters for a while.  "Get some rest guys, we're gonna need it."  He locked the door to their temporary quarters and then himself climbed into bed.

Yun grabbed the last two bags trying to fight off his stomach from releasing his lunch.  He walked as fast as he could down the narrow hallways.  After about 5 minutes of walking he arrived at his bunk.  His whole squad was packed into the cramped quarters and the floor was littered with bags.  Yun navigated through the bags being careful not to step on any of them.  He looked at Raziel who had just stood up, the squad instantly gave them his attention.  He turned to his squad and said in a stern tone "This mission is important to me, you, all of us.  We need to impress HQ and show them exactly what we can do in real combat.  I need all of you to follow orders and not fool around or anyone try to be a hero.  the fighting might be tough and we need to be prepared for that."  Raziel began to pace a bit back and forth as if a bit nervous or somethig was on his mind "I um.... well in case of an emergency i have packed somehting that might turn up to be...well usefull lets put it at that." Before anyone could question that comment Raziel moved on "Now I want these bags organized and lights out in 0300 hours.  understood?" "Yes, sir" Came a roar back from the men.  The men all got there bags and began sorting and unpacking parts of there bags.  As yun was unpacking he noticed that Raziel had picked up 2 bags one of them looking extremly heavy and very large.  Yun looked for another moment until Kuroishi punched him in the arm and said look "Yun is starin and Raz's ass" Yun turned around and said "Aww its too bad im not gay.  But i got ma reasons to question what you are"  The room erupted as both of the two men exchanged insults as they joked around.

Raziel watched Kiption almost lose it with Kuroishi with mild amusement. His lips curled into a thin smile, which he was quick to hide behind his arm.     Raziel lifted his small sack from beneath his seat and had another sift through it, just to make sure nothing was left behind.     He hoped that the days and days of Urban training would help with any conflicts they had to get out of rapidly. The squad was now trained well at getting about quickly and quietly, but there was always the chance of discovery.       Fortunately every piece of equipment his squad now held could be bought on the planet. With the current situation on the planet his squad could easily split up and dissapear into the civilian population.     The shuttle shuddered as it approached the corvette, then there was a metallic thud as it finished landing. He rolled his shoulders and groaned as he stood up. He stretched slowly before looking to his squad.     Neither Arkanian, Bronx, Lukas_Yuy, Myrrdin or Narroc had said a word since the mission had been announced.     He hoped they would get back to normal soon.     Raziel gave them a talk as they unpacked (started this before yuns post)         Raziel caught his finger for the second time on the incredibly fine wire. Coiling the stuff into one's hair was a tough process but it had been a long long time since he had done it.     He slowly got to his feet and shook his head around. He then looked in to mirror. The wire was still completely hidden. (anyone know where that idea come from)     He then cautiously removed the wire before packing it away in a small pouch.     It took him a good while to slide all of his organoplastic knives into sheathes around his body. When it was done, however, the knives could not been seen through his tight clothing.     There was a knock on the door, but before Raziel could shout anything Kuroishi and strolled into his cramped room.     "We'll be within communications range soon," he said.     "Ah good, thought it must be about time. I thought i heard someone say we'd met the Perlemian trade route."     "Well Kiption says he'd like everyone ready ASAP?"     "Yeah fine, make sure everyone gets their stuff packed. I'll try and force some discretion on anyone carrying too many weapons." Raziel smiled.     Raziel buckled on his belt and picked up his valuable combat knives. He selected his two favourite pistols and kept the larger in blatant view on his belt, whilst the other was tucked away under his shirt.     He looked at himself in the mirror again and picked up his bag. It was time to meet Ambassador Dal Kraas' man.

[No answer eh?  I guess I'll just have to improvise my smoke grenades as well.] Kuroishi thought about doing something to Kiption for laughs but he knew that would only cause Kiption to try to assign even more menial tasks to him.  Fortunately Kuroishi had managed to use an obscure reg about conflicting orders from squad coms to get out of anything Kiption had ordered him to do so far, though he that wouldn't last much longer if he stayed too close to Kiption. Aside from the jokes between himself and Yun, Kuroishi had been contemplating the upcoming mission.  Kuroishi knew he could probably escalate the NR side of the conflict without depriving it of key personel that could actually sway the NR into joining the fight but he wasn't so sure if he could do that to the Imperial side of the equation. Everything was going to come down to a martyr versus persuave charismatic leader problem.  Even if Kuroishi made a martyr out of all the important leaders of the NR side of the conflict it still didn't always take a persuasive charismatic leader to persude the NR into helping such a rebellion.  While on the other hand Kuroishi could create martyrs out of a great many leaders of the Imperial side of the revolution, but with the current state of affairs in the Remnant camps it may not be possible for whoever takes over to get any help from them. Then there was the fact that he knew he was being sent to an area that was known to have APCs and other armored vehiclas without any real tank busters, while he could engineer something out of the various house hold items he was packing, he still didn't like the odds. Kuroishi even then had a brilliant thought.  Deciding to keep it to himself Kuroishi grinned happily as he realised the possibilities, and all he had to do was make the enemy blind for a moment.

Kiption awoke starteled.  'Oh yea, the corvette.'  Unfamiliar sleeping arangements again.  He sat up and looked around the quarters.  Still dressed from before he got up and walked out the door to the quarters and made his way to the bridge where Raz was waiting.  "What are you looking for?"  Kiption walked up behind him.  Raz turned, gave a polite nod to Kiption and went back to studying the map.  "We just exited hyperspace, but as you can see," he made a vague gesture over the map, " there's nobody here to meet us." Kiption sat down in one of the chairs around the map, much to the dismay some enlisted bridge operator.  "Hurry up and wait."

Kuroishi had been hiding out in the observation area for most of the trip since he knew it would be rather unlikely for Kiption to bump into him there. The tension of the lack of someone to meet them was starting to get to some of the troops.  Already rummers were spreading on the small ship.  Even Kuroishi himself was begining to think that things had already gone off schedule. At least he managed to have something of a backup plan in mind if they really needed to get on planet. Kuroishi walked away from the observation area and wandered toward his berth.  Kuroishi was kicking hiself for not remembering some graple rods but knew he should be able to find some alternative on planet if he actually needed it. Despite everything else Kuroishi still managed to maintane a sense of professionalism that many assumed eluded him due to his great deal of psycosis. Kuroishi fell onto his bunk and fell asleep, figuring he might as well since there wasn't much else for him to do.

Ambassador Dal Kraas stood at a viewport in his quarters onboard the Vigilant, his personal ambassadorial ship.  Of Eridiadan construction, it was a modified Carrack cruiser that had, frankly, seen better days.  In near space were the two KDY Mark VII Shipyards and the monstrous Mark VI modular Deep Dock facility that made this system one of the premier military and political prizes in the galaxy.  Close by were a few Golan-class stations and other defensive facilities headquartered by a battered Rendili Firestar Orbital Defense station.  A mobile StarForge I support facility was just coming online, a recent arrival as a show of support from a warlord vacillating between the Pentastar Alignment and the Remnant consolidating rule from the Outer Rim. However, control of local space was not his concern.  On countless occasions, local forces had beaten back many would-be warlords, pirates, and the motley assemblages that the Rebellion had thrown against the complex from time to time.  The fledgling New Republic had, he grudgingly conceeded, gained the foresight to attempt to conquest the shipyards politically rather than militarily. With the Imperial leadership tossed out of power and the former governor discredited as a politically obsolete Palpatine loyalist, Kraas had taken the time to use his decades of carefully cultivated connections to use; for both personal and Imperial aims. It was a given, thankfully agreed upon by the  rulers at Imperial Headquarters on Bastion, that Eriadu would never be a formal part of the Empire given the current situation.  Merely keeping it neutral would be enough for a victory.  Pooling whatever resources he could scrap together, Kraas was hoping to do just that.  Currently he was waiting for another piece of the puzzle.  It had been days since his agent on Tadath had transmitted word of departure.  It was a pity that he had had to blow his operative's cover to get the limited assistance that was coming, but any tools that he could use to achieve his goals were useful.  Currently onboard the incoming ship, he had just received a transmission from the transceiver his agent carried not more than ten minutes before.  Finishing off his caf, he straightened his uniform and headed to the bridge. The watch officer immediately saw him exit the 'lift and informed him of what he already knew.  "Sir, we have received report of a Marauder-class corvette entering our system.  Transponder codes match those you told us to expect. The captain is awaiting your instructions." Kraas was a bit surprised by that.  The naval contingent thus far had been content to keep their own council.  Perhaps things were looking up for him.  "Captain, your orders?" he asked. "Well, your Eminence, I was planning to send out a screen of fighters with one of our system craft as an escort.  If that is to your liking." "Superb.  Send the fighters and Captain Vilhuust."  Willem Vilhuust was a political creature much like Kraas and the ambassador was taking a shine to the officer and hoped to retain his services should he win control of the planet. "Have our visitors dock at the...ahem...better maintained shipyards where I will meet them.  As their guise is that of an injured spacecraft, we should work to achieve that goal." "Understood your Eminence." As Kraas went towards his shuttle, a mixture of TIEs, Interceptors, and 2 Skipray craft flew a screen for the Light Corvette Bludgeon launched from nearby facilities enroute to the Scythe.

Kuroishi already had waken from his nap and had ate a meal in the galley before the summons to the Wraith briefing room was made over the com system. Kuroishi entered the room with the rest of Wraith.  Most of the others looked already burned out and half dead.  This did not bode well for the upcoming mission, only a few troopers in condition to handle an assignment this grandeous meant nothjing but trouble. "I called this briefing as it is time to decide who will be making the raid for the plans of the new fighter, either for capture or destruction of said plans."  Raziel said almost silently acknowladging Kuroishi's assesment of the squad. "Shouldn't we be including Jester on this briefing sir?"  Yun interupted from the back row. "Yes and they should be here shortly.  I asked them to prepare thier plan for aquiring or destroying the plans.  While they are deciding thiers we shall decide ours and I shall select the better plan and the squad that created that plan will carry out the operation.  I know this isn't much time but I know you are all professionals and are up to the challenge."  Raziel replied. "Well then we better come up with a heck of a plan.  Jester has some real talent in it but I think we got a bit of an edge in expierience."  Kuroishi said as his evil wheels started clicking in his head. Kuroishi's plan was fairly simple.  He knew that the fighter designs would be on one of the platforms but he didn't know which one.  What he did know is that a goverment office computer would know, or he could at least get enough information to make an educated guess at which platform it was on. After that it was only a matter of getting a slicer to the station's computer.  Everything else would have to be permutated on the fly as any plan of battle never remained unchanged after contact with the enemy. Now all they had to do was wait. [If there is a problem with this idea please let me know, but I think I've still got everything laid out that it's still Raz's decision who does what(after all he is in overall command)]

(sorry for not being very active recently. Can the meeting some after we've met the ambassador...)     Raziel looked up at the tall, well groomed man.     “A Captain I take it?” Raziel asked     Captain Willem Vilhuust and a few of his men stood just inside the blast doors. Kiption and Raziel had actually rushed to meet them, they had not expected a corvette to move into position in front of them and launch TIE fighters at them.     “My name is Captain Vilhuust. Krass sent me to meet you and give you some instructions as to how you should proceed.     “Instructions?”     “Well no, call it good advice. It is after all you who wanted to remain anonymous. I would suggest that you burn out one of your engines and launch some debris, I’m sure your men can simulate a wounded frigate.”     “I’m sure they can,” Kiption replied.     “As soon as you are docked with the maintenance station we will have our men quickly and efficiently repair you engine and then Kraas will come and talk to you in person.”     “I look forward to it,” Raziel smiled. “Are you staying on board or returning to your craft?”     “I would ask to stay on board and oversee the docking, it will be easier that way.”     “Very well, we’ll find you somewhere to hang around.”     Raziel called a meeting as soon as the captain was out of the way.     “Very good Kuroishi we’ll work on your idea as soon as Jester arrive. Bear in mind however that we have many other things to do, first of all whatever Kraas wants, so going completely unnoticed is our first priority.     “Secondly we need to work on a way to escalate the conflict, but that can wait until we have assessed both Kraas’ and his enemy’s strength. I’m not sure what Kraas may ask us to do after that, but we’ll have to find some way to work on our plans whilst keeping it out from Kraas’ view.”     Raziel waited for what Jester and Kuroishi would come up with.

(OOC: Don't bother changing it now, but a Corevette can't hold fighters. Just thought I'd tell you for future reference.)

Psst...I direct you to the deckplans this Maruader is designed from.  Yes Virginia, we gave this ship some fighter bays. Carry on troops.
